The British Casualty Monitor project have updated their graphs with the latest data from the MOD on the war in Iraq. They have also now added the same analysis for Afghanistan. In both situations, and especially in the Aghan war, the upward trend is striking.

I'm sure all the families of victims of NATO air strikes are overjoyed at the prospect of them waging an airstrike-centric war against the Taliban for several decades. Although I suspect if we try to stay that long, it won't we the Taliban we are fighting. Every Afghan will be reaching for the nearest RPG-7.
