CIA Attacked French Civilians with LSD 520

For all those nutters who cry “Conspiracy theory” whenever it is stated that the CIA have ever done anything wrong, here is a story from that impeccably conservative source, the Daily Telegraph:

A 50-year mystery over the ‘cursed bread’ of Pont-Saint-Esprit, which left residents suffering hallucinations, has been solved after a writer discovered the US had spiked the bread with LSD as part of an experiment.

    Larry,

It is time you and other Americans like you start seeing the bigger picture and there is a real need for you to start stepping away from your ego driven nationalism and total ignorance as witnessed on this blog where many questions asked of you just fail to enter your consciousness.

I have been inspired by the good work of American David Swanson who wants to change America, willing to even to take a peaceful fight to the streets and march on the Capital. The American way of life post 9/11 has been destroyed and this is my ‘heads up’ to you. Don’t be a mouse learning to be rat, become part of a new future for America.

Get a grip Larry instead of obeying your masters to continally cause confusion using a fog of mindless accusations.

PNAC is not dead – it is on the back burner while scenarios are worked out and tested. Lies are difficult to float because of the Internet and bloggers, therefore careful planning is essential. The Neo-cons have not finished their work and many scenarios exist to provide an excuse to attack Iran and light-up an enormous fire against Islam that they hope will trigger WW4.

The psychological effect of 9/11 is wearing off in America and despite threat levels at ‘severe’ and the efforts of your masters Larry, the American people are becoming unconcerned about another ‘terror’ attack, so about time to murder more Americans and keep criminals like Michael DeLong happy.

Another conspiracy Larry? Well forever in my mind is the true story by buddy human rights lawyer Phillippe Sands when she exposed the plot discussed by Bush and Blair to provoke an attack on Iraq by ‘painting planes in United Nations colours’ an American spyplane was proposed to lure Saddam into war.

Change your tactics or tell your boss that you are not smart enough to damage the 911 truth movement and quit your job.

  • Larry from St. Louis

But Mark, the 911 truth movement is in complete tatters.

The Stop the War Coalition wants nothing to do with you crazy people.

People like you have done more damage to the troofer movement than I could ever do. You believe that it’s quite possible that bin Laden was buzzing around the WTC in a black helicopter prior to 911.

Thank you, Mark, for being such a nutjob. Please keep it up. I’m sure you will, as you don’t know how to be normal.

  • dreoilin

You repeat yourself ad nauseam, Larry. And you are running out of mantras.

    Do you condone torture?

  • dreoilin

Or are you going to hightail it again for an hour or so until you think I’m gone?

  • MJ

Larry, the only time you’ve said anything remotely interesting it turned out not to be you. Empty vessels make the most noise, as the saying goes.

  • anno

    Loosen up your larynx. chchpwutt!

Three syllable words, coherent argument, no insults, empathy, humour and logic. All in one post. Gold star for Larry. Too much praise might upset the others, or the real Larry.

  • tony_opmoc

    Mark,

I unconsciously have seriously limited my exposure to TV over the past 12 years or so, and I still haven’t seen Dispatches Children of Iraq that was on Channel 4 on Monday, though I have recorded it and read many many emotional responses to it.

And I Have Never to My Knowledge Seen Brian Cox on TV, though I have seen him on the Internet.

Until a bloke of the same name Brian Cox got elected to Craig Murray’s old job, I had never heard of him, though I too come from Oldham and studied Physics at University Too

I guess, I again subconsciously came to the conclusion, that I was only going to find out what The World is really like by finding it out for myself, rather than being spoon fed someone else’s view through a TV Screen.

Did you Contribute To The Program?

I realise this is a personal question, and it is O.K. Not to Answer.

I just wish the rest of the World should recognise such an important principle.

The real reason why we did not go out tonight had nothing whatsoever to so with the fact that my lad said before going to work, that a bloke from somewhere North of Birmingham may drop off the last bit of metal because he was passing.

You see, I want my bloody car back

And this was the last bit of metal my lad needs to put his smashed up sports car back together. The Police did accept full responsibility, but he decided to do it himself, as he has done it before.

I haven’t even looked to see if it turned up, cos I told my Lad we were going out – so he texted the bloke back and said – dump it in front of the wreck (my slightly damaged sports car (again))

    Tony,

What an ugly frog! Your video is going to give me nightmares.

    Larry,

You can come back now and ask six or seven questions. I’m off to bed.

I actually think my Local MP, is a Really Decent Hard Working MP, and does his Best To Represent the People Who Elected Him

He has Absolutely No History of Any of The Dishonesty Regarding MP’s Expenses

His Record in Hansard, for Asking Important Questions – Some Really Embarrasing Questions of The Government in Parliament especially about the Iraq War – is One of The Best There.

In fact he has the Energy, Youth, Integrity, Intelligence, Courage and Honesty to Potentially Be a Future Prime Minister…

And although I have voted for him in the past, and may vote for him in the future, I will not vote for him again unless he pays back the expenses he has received, back to the Israeli Government from his own pocket.

He can remain a Friend of Israel. I have no problem with that, but he must repay all the Costs that The Israeli Government Paid for his Fact Finding Mission to Israel and The Israeli Occupied Palestinian Territories

And I await his call at My Door

I sponsored his mate – who lives across the Road when he decided to stand as a local councillor so I think I understand a little about Democracy.

Why the hell is anybody bothering to address comments to the troll AngryLarry, when he/they exist only to disrupt? Are these supposed correspondents of said troll seriously expecting to make a point that will be accepted, or enter into any dialogue ? Jesus, what’s the matter with you all?

The only point in a troll is to disrupt, and all of you starting posts with “Larry, what about… blah blah” are playing the required roll in a fool’s game, with all due respect.

It’s not the troll that ultimately destroys a forum – such as this – it’s the people stupid enough to make that troll the subject of that forum (this reply excepted, of course). For goodness sake, this is the Craig Murray blog, not the freaking Larry blog. Will you people get a grip and remember that, while it’s still worth visiting here.

  • Larry from St. Louis

Glenn, you silly, sad goose. You behave just like the other idiots at this blog.

  • tony_opmoc

I will be seriously impressed if Peter Gabriel Sounds as Good at The Millennium Dome, but my O2 dongle cost £10 and works Brilliantly

I Think It’s Going To Rain Today

Now I have seen many of the Top Musicans In The World at Big and small arenas, stateley homes, stadiums and little pubs

But the best live experience of musicians we have ever had has been many thousands of miles away from here, when we least expected it

I have however Never Experienced The Ultimate Joy, Though My Friend Dhiroo has…

    He told me about it…

He was in India and it hadn’t rained for 2 Years and all the people were hanging on by a thread….

And the Heavens Opened and It Rained

Wow! Quite amazing that the moment somebody spouts off a bunch of drivel ?” much of which is actually quite racist and signs it “Larry from St. Louis” then all the conspiraloons here start praising it. Of course the real culprit(s) is the Apostate/Steelback commenter(s). And of course, his/her/their standard anti-semitic pseudohistory is given a free pass.

And I see Edo is back from mourning the death of neo-Nazi Jew-hater, Eustace Mullins. Still in widows weeds?

On top of that there is some jeering at fundamentalist Christianity while at the same time fundamentalist Islam is also given a free-pass (the commenters here feel it to be too much to hold Muslims to the same standard as Christians) so medievalist notions of a woman’s place is accepted as a kind of groovy multiculturalist tolerance.

Anno, Arsalan, I don’t think either of you answered what you think of gay people. Care to enlighten us?

A lot of the time, commenters here seem to bitch to each other about how much they feel disenfranchised and how undemocratic Britain is and how unfair the world is and oh-woe-is-me self-pity but given that they are so wont to believe in the craziest stuff at the drop of a hat all they’re really complaining about is that so few people agree with them.

Back on-topic, the CIA clearly did some pretty atrocious things back at the height of the Cold War and, clearly need to get their act together on some recent behaviour. I am opposed to all forms of torture as a form of policy. However, this story about the CIA poisoning French bread with LSD is looking more and more unlikely when followed up. To be fair some other commenters have pointed out some of the holes in the story.

A Priest, a Rabbi and a Leprechaun walk into a bar. The Leprechaun stops and says, “”Faith and Begorrah! I’m in the wrong joke!”

The Americans Will See This as Investment Advice, and Yes I Do Know Salford – and It Is “Buy The FALL”. My mate bought it in a Charity Shop For 20p, and I copied it…

    Its Fucking BRILLIANT.

And so he went out for a smoke, whilst the band were playing…

And the Teenage Kids said to him “I Know You” “What is Your Name?”

And so he told them his real name and insisted he was no one famous…

So they went back in, and about half an hour later one of the Kids Said To Me

“Was it Rod Stewart Who Was The Singer In The Rolling Stones?”

I Said “Nah Mate ?” His Name Was Mick Jagger… ”

So he said “Who is That Then?”

    I Said “He’s My Mate”

“He’s Not Famous at All, and Is Far Better Looking Than Who You Think He Is”

His Real Name is Wally, but I didn’t tell them that.

And No It Wasn’t Mark E. Smith, but I suggest you get the Best of The FALL

“However, this story about the CIA poisoning French bread with LSD is looking more and more unlikely when followed up.”

It wasn’t in the bread old chap. So I suppose you’re right about that. On just about everything else though, you’re just about as predictable as usual.

    Yawn. Boring.

And whilst you brought up Eustace Mullins, there has been some great writing about Sabatteans recently.

Just follow your nose to Aangirfan, Twelth Bough, and Church of Nobody. No links required.

Well, ‘Larry’, this means that ‘you’ have not yet answered my question, after all!

The ‘Partition the US’ response itself was not really a response to the immediate rubric of US foreign policy in any case, more a long-term ‘Fall of Rome’ scenario. Many progressive Americans joke about ‘cutting-out the middle’, in fact.

It is interesting to observe that whereas ‘tungsten/ apostate/ steelback’ makes no attempt to shift voice across the three names, ‘Larry’ seems to evince two or more almost method-acted voices within a single identity. To be honest, I thought you were ‘taking the piss’ with your ‘US dystopian’ post. One version of ‘Larry’ evinces a more mature tone, the other almost barks responses and seems to aim at provocation. Most the other commentators on these threads have fairly consistent views, even the ones who sometimes drop-in with more bigoted comments – they are consistently so – whereas it seems much more difficult to get a handle on ‘Larry’.

Whichever ‘voice’ is presently at the other end of this digital interface at this moment, I would very much appreciate an answer to my question: is there or is there not anything at all in specifically Bush/ Obama Administration foreign policy as it relates to the Middle East and Central/ South Asia with which you disagree?

Or do you agree with it all?

  • dreoilin

“so medievalist notions of a woman’s place is accepted as a kind of groovy multiculturalist tolerance”

    –angry

I suggest you go back and read the 9** thread again. Remind yourself. The nasty abuse spewed at me was from you and Larry, not from any Muslim here. Neither there, nor on any other thread.

When you’re finished, I suggest you try and find a sense of humour somewhere, since both you and Larry are enirely devoid of one.

Glenn is right, Larry should be ignored, and I was one of those saying “don’t feed the trolls” in the early days. But Craig said Larry was ‘welcome’ and I said I’d take my cue from that. I still think that was wrong. I believe numerous people are staying away because of his/their arrival.

  • dreoilin

“”Faith and Begorrah! I’m in the wrong joke!”

Given the way (Cardinal) Sean Brady is behaving, that will be more and more true. But the original ‘leprechaun’ has changed beyond recognition since Hollywood got its hands on it. And nobody in Ireland ever said “Top o’ the Morning”. Sheer invention.

  • MJ

“Quite amazing that the moment somebody spouts off a bunch of drivel ?” much of which is actually quite racist and signs it “Larry from St. Louis” then all the conspiraloons here start praising it”

What was refreshing about it was not so much the content as the fact that it showed a glimmer of original thought.

  • Larry from St. Louis

How wrong you are Sue Hell Saudi,

American Foreign policy is based on its internal dynamics. So changing the president from Barak Osama or St Georg Bush(who is saintly, but not quite as saintly as his saintly father St Barbara Bush) or anyone else would cause a policy change. Just a change in face from an enlightened bright light white COLOR to to a dark black COLOR.

So my belief in separation is a belief in a change of foreign policy, a belief that is not shared by the communist Barak Osama, and St George of Bush.

Let me go in to specific detail about how this change will effect the regions you mentioned. Changes in St Louise alone can be used to demonstrate changes in the three regions you mentioned.

Take the Middle East for example. Here in America we believe arms to Israel, help to dictators, the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, aiding pro American terrorist groups, destabilisation, military bases in Muslim countries including the conduct of our troops when they leave their bases, torture, extraordinary, rendition, kidnappings without charge are not why Arabs/Muslims hate us. We believe the reason why Arabs/Muslims fight America is they want to die so they can get laid in heaven.

The solution would be the reestablishment of the Barbary Pirates, we should allow them to raid St Louise with their scimitars and carry off all the women they want from here and all the states they pass through to get here. This would mean they would get laid, so wouldn’t need to die fighting us.

When it comes to South Asia, my policy would be to fill St Louise with people from those countries. This is because St Louise has been experiencing a population decline since the 1950s, which has recently accelerated. It is becoming a dead city full of deadbeats. And a population that refuses to reproduce, (this means that many of our women will welcome the chance of being carried off by Barbary pirates). We need to fill this city with people who hold the Asian work ethic. St Louise will become an Island of industry, handwork and intelligence in an ocean of ignorance, selfishness and laziness that is known as America. So it would be better if St Louise gains independence. It would be a country where the South Asian immigrants mix with the descendants of African slaves who make up over 50% of St Louise population. This will be a harmonious mix, just like Mauritius. To celebrate this new harmony, St Louise should be renamed New Mauritius! The harmonious mix of Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Indians would mean the harmony might spread to their countries of origin, resulting in a lasting peace. This lasting peace would mean they will work for their mutual benefit, which may stabilise neighboring regions such as Central Asia.

It is true that someone has cloned me here. That person did so, before I even posted my first post here, and then has the check to accuse me of cloning him! If that person want to remove confusion about who is posting what, that person should rename himself Larry from New Mauritius. I will not use that name so there will be no further confusion about who is writing what.

Flying saucer lands, by chance at a petrol station. ‘Ask someone where we are’ says the captain to one of his little green officers, who then climbs out of the saucer and walks over to a petrol pump. ‘Excuse me’. No response. ‘I say, excuse me…’ Still no response. He reports back to the captain that there is a native outside their spacecraft, but that he will not speak to him. The captain pops his head out of the hatch, then comes back in and says:

‘Why must you always go up and talk to the first idiot you see with his cock stuck in his ear?’

Agree with glenn. Let’s not talk to petrol pumps.

  • MJ

“It is true that someone has cloned me here. That person did so, before I even posted my first post here”

If the other Larry got here first then perhaps you should have used a different name yourself: Larry from St. Louise would have sufficed.

  • Suhayl Saadi

“How wrong you are Sue Hell Saudi”

    One of the ‘Larries’ 1010am

I answer to ‘Melanie’, if you please, not ‘Sue’! But that, San Lorenzo, would risk bringing us back to snakes, scimitars and steamrollers (whatever gets you thru’ the night…)

I have to assume, from the lack of coherent (or indeed any) response to my very simple question that contrary to their (but was it their’s?) earlier suggestion, in fact the ‘other’ Larry (perhaps they are one person, perhaps they are legion!) is in essentially total support of the foreign policies of Bush-Obama and the hegemonic expansion of US imperialism.

    The enemy, in other words.

  • Larry from St. Louis

    We are legion!

Sort of like the trinity. we are the same, and yet we are different.

Some say George Bush the father, is George Bush the son. That he is his own father. And together with a third less important character they form a Trinity. Or shall we call it an axis of evil? George the father is evil, George the Son is evil, and Satan is evil but Satan is not the father or the son and the father is not the son but all are evil. It is very complicated, but you have to believe in it even though you do not understand it, we will call it the mystery.

The same applies here, there are three of us, but the three equals one. I am Larry from St. Louis and he is Larry from St. Louis, together with a less important character called Angrysoba we form a trinity. In some sense Larry from St. Louis is not AngrySoba but both of them are a nascence. It is difficult to understand, but you have to believe in it as a mystery.
