Lara Lee managed to hide this footage from the Israelis when they confiscated all the evidence from passengers. This video shows plainly a bloodstained ship before any commandos boarded, and that the passengers were not teroorists preparing for a fight.

I was not entirely convinced so I hunted down some pictures of the Mavi Marmara next to its sister ship the Tdi Karadeniz, and yes the IDF video looks as if it was shot on the Tdi Karadeniz
The Tdi Karadeniz was recently sold to a Maltese company and renamed ‘Dream’ a more close up picture is available at

If you compare this picture with the IDF film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LulDJh4fWI then at 1:01 into the film you can clearly see a radar dome on the upper deck that is absent on the Mavi Marmara, but clearly visible on ‘Dream’/’Tdi Karadeniz’
Could the Israelis have been cynical enough to have manufactured a confrontation just so they could present themselves as the victims with fake footage to back it up? It beggars belief, but I cannot think of any other interpretation.
(Except maybe those sneaky Turks erected a fake radar dome on the Mavi Marmara during the voyage to discredit Israel)

Before anyone else does so I shall correct myself. I have since found another picture of Mavi Marmara with a radar dome in the same position as on Dream.
But the question still remains. Why isn’t the ships name visible along the side of the upper deck where it should be?

Israel said the WTC deaths were good for her and benefited the American struggle with Iraq.
Israel says the deaths in Gaza from lack of basic necessities are necessary for its national security, to keep materials that can be used to make weapons. Israel sees the democratically elected Hamas as a terrorist organization bent on its destruction. Hamas says it sees Israel as an occupying power and as an oppressor.
The cycle of violence continues.
Moving away from violence means we must develop a strategy together that is able to counter lies from Israel or threats from those with charged allegations or extreme views of violence.
Polling data continues to show that nearly 40% of American society holds a negative view of Islam by associating it with violence. However, many who were surveyed admitted that they hardly knew anything about the religion or its followers. This is a clear indication that something significant and far reaching needs to be done to develop mutual understanding and respect.
The Cordoba Initiative to build a mosque at ground zero is a good start in the right direction because it can show to the world a bonding of two minds irrespective of the painful memories.

Yes, the absence of the ship’s name in the appropriate place is a bit of a giveaway, ditto the absence of the huge Turkish flag draped down the side. Note too that in the Israeli video the aid-workers attempting to repel the attack are wearing balaclavas; I haven’t seen a single balaclava in the footage shot from onboard the ship.
