I don’t understand this.
I am a terrible father. How could he possibly turn out so well?

With respect, Craig, I don’t think anyone really knows how to be a good father. It certainly depends a lot on the child(ren), but right away you are neck deep in dilemmas.
Do I give my child everything – a good upbringing, the best education I can afford, excellent nutrition, and an ethical outlook on life? If so, he may be pickd on, mocked, baten up, taken advantage of, and wind up miserable.
Or do I systematically neglect him, ignore his needs and appeals, tell him brutally to end for himself? Then it’s possible he may wind up as king of the castle – prime minister, a captain of industry, a financial magnate, or even a great scientist or sportsman.
History is unclear on the subject.
My keyboard does have a full set of keys, but apparently I am in too much of a hurry to strike them hard enough. Apologies for the garbled output.
It’s an uneasy feeling when you begin to suspect that your son is a better person than you are. Been there (didn’t stay long).
.
But he’s not perfect. I demand to know what the silly wee bugger thinks is wrong with bad lager – that stuff has been a good friend to me.
And there was me thinking you only liked Supertramp. However I don’t think you should worry. My son has told me about this ‘Doune the Rabbit Hole’ thing, living up in Scotland as he does, so he knows about it but he still prefers Jimi Hendrix and Creedence.
I feel old – never heard of any of them but hope the weather’s good.
What’s more… guess who is on the line up? Craig Murray! What are you playing?
Flower-power re-visited – Woohoo!!!
Because he is a Murray. The kid has turned out pretty well !
He’s got the same stubborn streak, Frazer, if thats what you mean, but he is prepared to put his hands to anything, don’t know whether promoting is the right alley, but he’s making a go of it.
Must be his mother’s influence?
PS. I Love the blog redesign. Missed you while you weren’t blogging. Glad to have you back. Thanks for all your work, and keep it up!
