    Is the defendant in a criminal case of rape able to remain anonymous?
    .
    Under the current Criminal Justice System operated in England and Wales the defendant in a rape case is not provided with anonymity. However, under the recently published coalition agreement for the UK Government it has been stated that the government plan to introduce anonymity for the defendant as well as the victim.
    .
    Does this mean that the BBC will shut their traps about Assange or will it suddenly become a matter of the public’s (i.e. the establishments) interest?

    The robber barrons have gained control through there careful planning and cunning and find themselves at the top.

    There is a natural order.

    Mergers and accuisations now comfirm this hierachy is globalised.
    This is by design and like it or not this is how the world is.

    Turning on the gas and oil how we have used it wisely and make the utopian world that we are to be proud of. As the energies are wittered away.

    What a n oppurrunity we missed.

    Still we will look at the carbom age and with much admirartion see that you really can polish a turd if left in the right hands.

    Mary, In reality as with most web start-ups I doubt the actual wages come from advertising money, but rather from the prospect that it might be bought out by a large corporation, and investors that are willing to take the bet that their share will be worth much much more when this occurs.

    Yes, the Swedish justice system is rotten to the core, as is the government and the rest of the establishment. Seems to be something we share with the majority of countries in the world, at least all that are run by the Ziofcukwits, which doesn’t leave many left. Thanks to the FBS they are now in total control of everything, even people’s emotions and thoughts.

    No doubt they are succeeding in creating hell on earth and a fascist world government is just around the corner.

    It is lust only, o Arjuna, which is born of contact with the material mode of passion and later transformed into wrath, and which is the all-devouring sinful enemy of this world.

    They will get their limited time as “rulers” of the world but soon enough the karma generated by their lust, anger, greed, illusion and madness will drive them down into the animal species of life, which is the perfect destiny for those unfortunate souls.

    God love our media. They ignore the Non Aligned Meeting of 120 nations in Tehran…then Egypt’s President Morsi comes out in support of the Syrian Free Army so they’re all over it like a rash. It fits the narrative “we” are after – that of a world united against Assad (and never mind who’s funding and arming and even importing the rebels)

    God love our media, Take 2. Howls of denunciation at the butchering of 250 civilians in Daraya by the Syrian regime. Then Robert Fisk of the Independent becomes the first Western journalist on the scene and says, hang on, it looks as if the noble rebels killed all these men, women and children.

    And the story vanishes from the mainstream media.

    If it is pulled it will be at the behest of Occupy News Network, and if so, that’s were the scrutiny should be directed.

    To be honest this entire episode reeks of new journalism graduates jumping on a story getting Craig involved and trying to push themselves into the spotlight.
    Uploading a video they couldn’t host when they could use p2p in torrents or uploading to vimeo, the whole thing reeks of insincere opportunism. If I hadn’t of ‘wget’ted that file in time no one would have it, and I don’t see ONN making any efforts to get it out, or posting alternate links in their twitter.

    While I don’t think it is the proper role of the British Court to arbitrate on disputes between thieves and their fences, even if it does enrich our legal profession – I find it somewhat telling that Mary shows little concern about the non Jewish Russian oligarchs who have been even more sucessful in stealing Russian people’s assets and still have political power in that country. Could it be that they fund her beloved Russia Today (and also Assange by that route) and arm and support all her pet regimes, and are not above a little bit of anti-semitism themselves??

    And which country’s political and judicial systems would you hold up as better models for us to follow – I wouldn’t want to guess or assume.

    Clearly – if you are like the supporters of Mr Assange you will prefer those where the politicians are able to override and veto the decisions of the courts, even before a case is bought to court.
