    Could have been. I am aware that some call-centres use so-called voice stress analysis kit which use some kind of technical voodoo to determine that the person who has been on hold for 17 minutes is somewhat peeved.

    It all sounds like a scam to me.

    Anyway, from Peter’s posts I thought things were less impersonal than call-centres and that normally one would get to a known individual, your personal account manager.

    Good point about the caravan, that is a constraint!

    On a different track, I am trying to work out the ‘field of view’ of the retired policeman that saw the 4×4 and the two mobylettes.

    Do you know where he lived and the direction he was facing, the distance to the road from his viewing point, is there a hedge in the way etc. I dont need or want his address just rough location sufficient to work out which road (or roads) he could see and the angle etc. Thanks.

    GIP, M. Antoine is very easily traced, he appears to operate a chambres d’hotes (guest house)all above board and listed with the local Mairie in Doussard, there is some great footage of him speaking to camera that wasn’t anything to do with the murders.

    I don’t thin he ever specifically referred to a 4×4.

    MN, Claude (a male or female name) is his father-in-law, his mother-in-law is Genevieve.

    Nevertheless, he rents out somewhere for holidays, it’s the way they make money, top up their pensions.

    If you search his name you’ll find a photo and maybe even VT of him.

    Tourism, MN, just tourism.

    Many areas of France live on tourism, Lac d’Annecy does, I can see why, although a personal choice is to rent a holiday home near the sea.

    I think it could be helpful if we knew who specifically gave the information to the police artist who made the likeness of the Combe d’Ire motorcyclist, that was rendered thirteen months later as the E-FIT-SKETCH.

    If MISTERLYON is a real person and on 05/09/2012 was actually motorcyling on the Combe d’Ire and stopped and spoken with above Le Martinet by one of the forest guards and it was that actual forest guard who gave the information from which the police artist crafted the image
    we are all familiar with, I@d like to volunteer to eat my hat.

    I suspect that the person who two plus years later is attributed by Eric Maillaud
    as having been the motorcyclist looks nothing like the E-FIT-SKETCH

    MN, everywhere but everywhere says the sketch was put together from the description given by the two forestry men.

    Why the heck would they make up a patsy, it makes no sense, if they were to do that they’d have been better off choosing someone of no fixed abode and without family.

    Ultimately, there was a more comprehensive description regarding colouring and size of the man.

    Even upon Eric D arrest, there was already comments from EM telling people to be cautious, they knew within hours he didn’t do it, I suspect he was held more because he did have old weapons and was buying and selling.

    and that LYONMAN had utilized the special side-opening helmet,
    thus revealing his distinctive features?
    Yet it has been reported that LYONMAN did not own and had not been wearing a special side-opening helmet that day?

    If Eric Maillaud were to wheel out LYONMAN and Eric Devouassoux together,
    with the E-FIT-SKETCH held at head height between them,
    your ordinary sceptical members of the public both FRANCE and ENGLAND

    would then be able to make their own minds up as to if there had been an attempt at obfuscation?

    I am of the suspicion that this “Slaughter of the Horses” business
    has inter-governmental attention.
    There was a meeting of at least two parties but I suspect three or four parties.
    Some government oversight was in place.
    I imagine the meeting went badly, some of those involved managed to melt away.
    Some were slaughtered.

    It took thirteen months for the E-FIT-SKETCH to be put out into the public domain.
    Six days later the Lathuile home of the family Communal-Tournier was raided,
    Nicole was shot dead, this was no simple burglary.
    this looked like an attempt at abduction/torture/murder.
    Their home is within spitting distance of the holiday home of William Brett Martin,
    the finder of the slaughter.
    W.B.M. claimed a very slow riding motorcyclist descended the combe just before W.B.M. found the death scene.
    It has not been said that the E-FIT-SKETCH is of this slow riding motorcyclist.
    Who was this slow riding motorcyclist?

    If secret services are involved to protect the situation, they may have “guided”
    the police artist to make a likeness of Eric Devouassoux, not necessarily to have him imprisoned for slaughter but to take the attention away from the real murderer long enough,
    so another person could be secretly introduced to Eric Maillaud, so he could instantly dismiss this new person as having been there but not in any way shape or form involved.

    However Eric Maillaud has not unequivocally

    said if the slow riding motorcyclist
    is the same person as MISTERLYON.

    If the slow riding motorcyclist is a different person
    are the cops still looking for this geezer?

    I have been sidetracked from the field of view thing by a spooky similarity between a high level view of Chevaline and a kite.

    By ‘kite‘ I mean a desert kite (e.g. as found in Iraq).

    From Wikipedia “They are believed to have been used for hunting wild animals and consist of long dry-stone walls converging on a neck which opens into a confined space which was used as the killing floor.”

    See the funnel shape in the picture linked above? The forest forms the walls around Chevaline. The neck is the track up the combe.

    Kettling seems to be more static confinement of demonstrators. Seems to be pretty effective, which on the face of it is odd, as it is the complete opposite of textbook riot control, which emphasises dispersal and breaking up groups.

    I see the kite thing as being very different from kettling. It seems to have been used as a hunting ground. Drive the prey into the open end of the funnel and inevitably they end up where you want them, at the killing ground.

    Shades of Prof. Wilson and his description of the murder of Frank McPhee (see Parry Chapter 16).

    One of the explanations for MISTERLYON being up the Combe d’Ire is given as pursuing his hoby of parapente.

    Have we been told how long he has been a parapentist.
    Have we been told had he just landed in the Combe d’Ire.
    Have we been told he was about to take off from the Combe d’Ire.
    Have we been told he could see parapente taking place from the Combe d’Ire.

    I do not think this story stacks up?
