I do not think we actually know if LMC was ever arrested?
If LMC ever existed in any real way,
he should have come forward, STRAIGHT AWAY, on 5th September 2012.
If LMC did not come forward straight away, he should have come forward when it would be obvious he was the dead ringer for the E-FIT-SKETCH, because he would have known that
the ONF chaps had given their descriptions of his likeness to the police artists.
If by then LMC thought he was going to be in real trouble because he had not come forward,
straight away, then thirteen months later, he did not come forward after to broadcasting of the E-FIT-SCHETCH, he most definately should have come forward the moment ERIC DEVOUASSOUX was being put in the frame.
Now how could you describe a person as being honarable if that person kept quiet,
while another man was in the frame for being “The MOTORCYCLIST” thought to be “The SHOOTIST”
If LMC ever existed in any real way,
he would have known that he was “The MOTORCYCLIST”
that is not to say he was “The SHOOTIST”
but it would be obvious to a congenital idiot, that his honest duty was to go to the authorities and spill his beans
but we have been told he did not come forward.
The international fugitive called the Vaulter Bandit has been extradited to Canada. He lived in France, just across the border from Geneva. He was arrested in Geneva, presumably to facilitate extradition because he is a French/American citizen.

Maybe we’ll know in a few years the true extent of his alleged crimes. The wheels of justice grind slowly, but tomorrow we’ll know the charges against him. These charges are all for alleged crimes in Canada. Did he break the law in Switzerland, Annemasse, the Savoie, the Haute Savoie? This is unknown.
It would be interesting to know if they have his DNA, and if discarded DNA led to his arrest.

It may sound like the Vaulter Bandit is facing the music in the middle of nowhere, but he seems to have an affinity for hanging around places that attract the very rich and famous. Thinking of the FBI hunting down jewel-laden senior citizens who had lived in the town where Eric D. Worked as a police officer.
Aurora, Ontario is home to Magna International and the very wealthy family that owns the empire.

FWIW, WRT the alternate theory above about the Vaulter Bandit, the killer colonel/RCAF pilot Russell Williams also started his pilot training at the Buttonville Airport. I’m surprised they didn’t mention him.
It took five days to get the vaulter bandit to Canada, after a faked heart attack on board a plane that turned back to Heathrow, and an alleged escape attempt. This guy doesn’t want to be caught. What does he have to hide, aside from the alleged bank robberies and abduction at gunpoint, etc.?

I would like to know what the Vaulter Bandit got up to in Geneva, and where he lived and what he did in France. I wonder if his DNA will be the key.
He was supposedly non-violent, but allegedly forcing someone into a vault at (fake) gunpoint is violent. His description now includes “bad teeth” and “pockmarked face”, so the citoyens of France might find that useful.
The heat was on by 2011, so how he filled hisxtime after that will be interesting.

Where does that information come from? If true, it would put quite a different slant upon things: a premeditated multiple murder potentially charged with symbolic meaning, the killer as some kind of avenging figure, the perpetrator much younger than I had previously assumed (the black hoodie and “V for Vendetta” mask that I am envisaging are a young man’s clothes), possibly into role-playing and definitely stark raving bonkers …
For Zainab to know that it was a man hiding behind that mask, he must have said or yelled something. She doesn’t seem to recall what he yelled, which means that he almost certainly spoke French rather than English or Arabic.

Neat idea, but protective gear for forestry workers must contain high-visibility orange elements. Conversely, it must not have a hood, because a hood could become entangled in a chainsaw or other tools.

Anyway, I have trouble imagining the mysterious Middle Eastern “Suit Man” exchanging his suit for fancy dress of this kind. Could be, but those Guy Fawkes masks are everywhere; even for a child it is impossible not to come across them on a near-daily basis.
Given her age, Zainab will not have watched any horror movies yet and thus will not be familiar with baddies like Jason, but surely she would have recognised one of those Guy Fawkes masks? Anyway, let us hope that the killer did not wear one of them, because if he did, Zainab is in for a lifetime of repeated trauma.

In the past, authorities speculated that he might have a gambling problem. He was arrested in Geneva, but was said to have been living just over the border in France. As the reward money for his arrest increased, authorities warned he might become more desperate. He kept bankers’ hours, naturally.
If the person was ‘covered’ to disguise, why kill people who didn’t need to be killed, we are back to mad, drugged up or one collateral.
As for the ‘hood’ I have at least two jackets/coats with a hood and I’m almost old !

I remember, er . . reading in history books, about role-playing and it’s attendent dangers.
Symbolic meaning was my thing for a while however if the perpetrator were actually clinically insane (or off their face) then there may be no way for us, here on this forum, to discern his intent or whatever ‘meaning’ he may have ascribed to his actions because we are either not insane or not insane in exactly the same way as he was.
For a start this is french insanity we are talking about.
Some of that info may have come from old postings on the france2 forums. The “masque synthétique blanc” is completely new to me though. If correct, it need not be a “V for Vendetta” or “Scream” mask. It could simply be some kind of health and safety gear normally seen languishing unused inside the windscreen of a handymans white van
And yes, I think it is a given that he spoke french.
