The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
@Ferret
it was the GFC..sounds like a branch of something else official
@CD: Ground Forces Command?
Maybe this?

Oh, look, they’re everywhere: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraqi_Ground_Forces_Command
In that case the online SF(S) account is unique.
In what way are they unique? I should have added that the Duedil version has (of course) the Duedil covering page, but the pages following are idential to the Comp Hse version… hope this didn’t mislead you?
@ Q 13 Oct, 2012 – 10:49 pm
Something like that crossed my mind… or the G….. Flying Club?
A pilot might know… James?
@James 13 Oct, 2012 – 10:35 pm
There is research going on with laser enrichment of uranium, and Iran has been trying for years to solve the technical problems. This might be a link between Mollier and al-Hilli.
Mollier as “the welder at the workshop”, could in fact mean that he was developing something in the nuclear range – which is what Areva is doing
Felix, when I was searching for an aerial shot of the back garden this morning,I remembered Sky had done a fly over, anyway I failed to find it, but I did find one where the caravan was being taken from the campsite on a trailer.
I’m sorry now I didn’t save it…….as I looked through so many I haven’t a clue whether it was a SKY, BBC or ,Telegraph.
Anyway, I’ll say goodnight for now,sleep tight all. 🙂
GFC: Garmin Flight Control: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=70143&ra=true
Sounds like FADEC.
If you Google “GFC pilot” it throws up references to the G.F.C. which was an RAF squadron or squadrons?
Has anyone seen this before?

May of course be entirely unrelated…
Now that we “know” that Gary Aked worked for four years at Aldermaston, it’s back in the frame, isn’t it…
I looked up Total Oil, and this came up:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_S.A.
Oil for Food, again. This could be the Total Oil Company where the late Peter Fuller (murdered in Dordogne) worked. Correct me if I’m wrong.
@Thomas
SILEX type tech. The US hate it as it is “small”.
Iran wold love it as it can do the job.
Fits saad as previous work. Fits Mollier as previous work.
so IF it was that who were “they working for ?
The West or The (Middle) East ?
…and who shot whom ? (or is that whom shot who !).
But the thing is.
1. The “sibling playing”. How was that known ?
2. A 16 hour delay (from 4pm to 8am). You can move alot of people I guess.
A former director -is this the same Silver Fern Services Ferret?
(his wife’s stunning)

Q
The elder al-Hilli girl was born locally . I didn’t find the younger one in the records at Ancestry.com when I had access. Perhaps I was looking in the wrong place. I’m not a personal member, so can’t check. Perhaps the site doesn’t keep data so recently.

Odd that the convicted man can’t remember.
More interesting connections here:

“Total announced in 2007 that they are exploring the possibilities of entering the nuclear power sector. Although they already own one per cent of Areva, the largest nuclear business in the world. Total does not currently have extensive involvement in nuclear power. However, in January 2008 Total announced that they were to sign an agreement with Suez and Areva to submit a nuclear power plant project to the authorities in the United Arab Emirates.”
@Dopey
er…Premium Bonds Ltd…Virtual Premium Bonds Ltd…that’s not Brett’s style. Newbury / Reading a long way from the Royal Albert Hall.
Iqbal’s sister at Reading, Silver Fern at Aldermaston. What’s up with that?
There we go with the X-ray diffraction again:

I meant the signatures…
@Dopey
Ray Harrington: can’t work it out. There seems to be only one Silver Fern Services but he’s never been a director, and according to Duedil he’s not a director of “Crazy Not To” either…???
@Felix
Ah, yes – well spotted! It is indeed unique. And it’s not the most recent one, either… is that odd, in terms of Duedil, or are they always behind the times?
findmypast.co.uk
A good alternative to Ancestry (I preferred it when I used it a few years ago) …and a two week free trial’s offered.
I’ve tried searching but IE keeps freezing (my ailing laptop to blame) – anyone want to have a play on that site and see if anything interesting pops up?
VK and RG were listed as FAS’s supervisors.

Cell membranes? Food security? Neutron beam at ISIS and ILL, the Diamond facility at nearby Aldermaston…
I see this was also listed on that prof’s page:

Oldone I know, but he is your accountant !
“Jeremy Cannell is Tax Consultant of International Security Ltd”.
But there is a link…
Crazy Not To Limited has one director, a David John Temple (55), who is also the Company Secretary of Silver Fern Services Limited.
Ronald Temple (61) is the only current director of Silver Fern Services Limited.
Silver Fern Services Limited is majority owned by Ronald Temple (31.5%) and London & Country Mortgages Ltd (50%).
London & Country Mortgages Ltd is owned almost 80% by Michael Robert Edge. Now, who’s *he*, I wonder…
..And no “media” have looked at Companies House !!!! Come on !
The main (ONLY) witness…over the age of 18 !
Wondrif P.D. has an accountant !

Strange, now I see March 10, not September 15.
Just a typical, ordinary family, where the wife’s sister and husband both worked at Rutherford Appleton.
