The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

That guy apparently is a scammer, a rat, nothing else. Totally unrelated. When the police would have a look into the files of that 155 Notting Hill Gate company and specially check their Malaga branch, then they would probably know quickly about where from he had got that bank info. There are scammer and phisher names in that Malaga branch of that company. I already mentioned that LONG BEFORE we knew about this guy, actually once we investigated that Malaga branch of that 155 Notting Hill Gate company.
I agree BB but if the bank of choice of SAH didnt have a local branch it would suggest the home branch related to a previous address.
But perhaps this was the reason for change of locks, maybe SAH had already reported a fraudulent transaction.
True or False ?

Another aside regarding limos. Did you know one of Colonel Russell Williams’ victims worked for a school bus company that also ran a limousine business? The owner of the company died late in 2010; Jessica Lloyd was murdered by Russell Williams in January 2010. I can’t imagine that there are huge numbers of limousine services around CFB Trenton or Belleville, Ontario.

Why are these reports from UK press 18 hours old? The court case at Guildford Magistrates Court was today. Even if they were open on extended hours that makes it midnight this morning??

Apologist for extra judicial zionist murder.
Enough said.
Mochyn only a fool would ignore the rockets being fired daily at Israel, one does not need to be an apologist.

It’s a Mardi Gras-like event:
2010
January: Kelley and her husband throw a party on their lawn for Tampa’s annual Gasparilla pirate fest, a kind of mini-Mardi Gras. Petraeus reportedly shows up with “a 28-cop motorcycle escort”. Kelley “collected generals”, according to the Daily Beast, and even convinced a special forces admiral to allow her to do a parachute jump with elite commandos. “Do not ever bring that lady back here again,” he is reproached.
Mochyn I have running news all day.
I know the facts well. YOU & others however, ignore everything until the minute retaliation takes place start squealing about the Israelis.
Wednesday, October 24, 2012
“JERUSALEM — Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip fired dozens of rockets and mortar shells into southern Israel on Wednesday in the heaviest bombardment on the area in months, drawing ominous Israeli threats of retaliation and dangers of escalation.
The violence came a day after a landmark visit to Gaza by the emir of Qatar. Israeli officials suggested the visit, the first by a head of state to the Hamas-ruled territory, emboldened the militant group.
The rocket fire began shortly after the emir left Gaza late Tuesday and continued through the night. Israeli officials said more than 80 projectiles were fired, and Hamas claimed responsibility for many of the attacks.”
This goes on day after day, unlike you, I see both sides.
It was General Abizaid who had opend the military base doors for the Al-Khawam family in Florida. Abizaid has a Syrian/Lebanese family background but he is one of the highest decorated generals in the USA.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Abizaid
Here we can read what Abuzaid thinks about Iran and its nuclear stuff:
In remarks at the Center for Strategic and International Studies reported on September 17, 2007, Abizaid stated, “We need to press the international community as hard as we possibly can, and the Iranians, to cease and desist on the development of a nuclear weapon and we should not preclude any option that we may have to deal with it.” He also said, “I believe that we have the power to deter Iran, should it become nuclear.”
Here is Abuzaid’s current career listed:
Abizaid retired from the military on May 1, 2007 after 34 years of service.[1] As of 2007, Abizaid is employed as a fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.[2] He assumed the Distinguished Chair of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point in December 2007. Abizaid was appointed to the board of directors of RPM International on January 24, 2008, and also sits on the board of directors of the Defense Ventures Group.[3] In 2008 he was selected as a Montgomery Fellow at Dartmouth College.
Here is an American branch al-Khawam member mentioned as a Syrian “exile government” member:
Five Syrian dissidents residing in the United States have announced the formation of the Syrian National Council, an umbrella opposition group dedicated to regime change and the establishment of a democratic government in Damascus. “We are not looking for reform in Syria. We want a complete change in the regime in Syria,” Mohammed al-Jbaili said at a press conference June 6. He described the Syrian regime under President Bashar Assad as “one of the most totalitarian rules in the world.”
The Washington-based council will coordinate with opposition groups inside and outside Syria to promote democratic change in the country, according to a statement issued by the council’s executive committee. In addition to al-Jbaili, the other members of the executive committee are Najib Al-Ghadban, Hussam Al-Dairi, Mohammed Al-Khawam and Abd Al-Muhaymen Al-Sibai….

I have to ask – which news feed do you have running all day?

I have them all, I like especially, Al Jazeera, I switch throughout the day, including Chinese news. No one can accuse me of not hearing all sides of any story.
Pretty much the same with online news, including the Turkish Hurriyet.
Capital Radio reported about the fraud last night at 11.28 pm. Did they really do this to stop unwanted people around?

That’s right. However, Ahmed al-Hilli I cannot relocate to our al Hillis. I can’t find a link and I have found a LOT about the al-Hilli family links recently. I have found one Ahmed al-Hilli (de Hague, NL) in that Dutch group of the Al Hillis where we have a Zaid and a Saad al Hilli in the Netherlands, too (coincidence?). However, I never was able to find a link for this Dutch family to Iraq nor to the UK and I do not know whether or not there is a second Ahmed al Hilli. I really don’t know where that family branch are coming from nor where they are going to.
Perhaps Felix or anyone else has got a clue?

Isnt this a car bomb (use full screen) and not a missile?
katie, interesting take you have on Gaza. I think your news feeds forgot to mention that prior to any rockets being fired there were a series of provocations by Israel where a number of people were killed – several of them children – Israel’s favorite targets. I guess they made the mistake of living while in Gaza. No wonder israel was getting anxious to bag a “more appropriate’ sort of military target.
Maybe you need to expand your horizons some or just stop watching whatever zio-channel you are tuned to.
So you think the emir’s visit “emboldened” Hamas? sure that’s what Jpost said. But there were more visits planned like by Turkey’s PM. That plus Abbas’ bid to the Un and the interring of Arafat’s body are driving israel bonkers.
OT but essential IMO, though I will not take any more baits here. Can see the dangers of forum slide all too well (of course, it’s easy in this case, with so many threads leading every-which-way sometimes it’s hard to know what’s on or off=topic). Maybe everyone here already knew katie affinities and know better than get sucked in.
Another take on Gaza here, and Egypt’s likely reaction, in case people are interested.

For those not familiar with MoA it’s well worth the read for unique and usually quite astute ME commentary. definitely a nice break from the MSM (which is katie’s favorite, it’d appear).
