The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
Dopey,
Maybe the car is registered to the business and so Stedman would be fist call.
“Big Question”
1. French police to British police to DVLA.
2. Le google ! Le Companies House. There’s the Registered Office address.
Yep. Dubai is LHD. I have never seen one on the road there. I think it’s even illegal to drive a RHD drive car there.
Cars reg’d to a business as the “owner”…still have to declare the “keeper” on them as a legal requirement.
@ Katie 1 Oct, 2012 – 5:25 pm: They lived in Pimlico…
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think there was any report saying Saad and his family lived in Pimlico in recent times. The al-Hillis lived in or near Pimlico (where the sons went to secondary school) when they first moved to the UK in 1971. The house in Claygate was bought c.1990-1992. It is conceivable they held on to the ‘Pimlico’ house when they moved, either to rent it out or for the sons’ use.
If Saad’s father had to flee Iraq, and his business was sequestered (is that the right word?) by the Iraqi government, how wealthy exactly would he have been when arriving in the UK?
He could have moved funds before fleeing yes and assume he probably must have done, but sufficient enough to buy a home (or several) and live on those funds for the next thirty years plus?
I’ve seen the odd report which said he also had a business in the UK. If he did have, then they’re keeping what that company was under tight wraps aren’t they? If he did have a company, why didn’t one or both of the sons follow him into that business in that case?
CD.
As far as I have read, they have only moved once & it was from the Pimlico area.
Yes I suppose the parents could have gone ‘up market’ when the offspring were old enough to look after themselves, then after mother died they moved in with the Father ?
The Postie could have his timings wrong when he said three years.
Frankly I can’t see that’s it’s relevant .
@ Dave Brooker
“The house although large and in surrey was a bit rough, the BMW’s elderly, he goes on caravan holidays and the kids are at state school, plus he has a decent job but not a great one.”
Not everyone who is ‘minted’ likes to flash their cash around. My husband’s uncle has been in the music business for about 50 years, lives in a massive house in Walton on Thames (about 3 or 4 miles from Claygate) which is probably worth at least a couple of million. He drives a beat up old Honda Accord estate, they holiday in an apartment in the South of France that they have owned for years, and their 3 kids (now grown up with kids of their own) all went to state school, as do their grandkids now. Maybe he just wanted to be inconspicuous.
Caravan holidays nowadays are not what they used to be either, and on a nice site, most people would not be short of money.
Molly.
Agreed, this is a man who wanted to ‘blend in’ not to stand out & draw attention to himself.
“It’s just as likely, theoretically, that he was moonlighting for SIS and something went horribly wrong.” CD at 4:03pm on 1.10.12.
Yes, that’s what I’ve been thinking.
It’s a little like ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’, isn’t it? Or, as I mentioned early on on the previous thread, Corinne Souza’s work – her father was a longstanding Iraqi SIS agent in both Iraq and London. This is her memoir:

Its very relevant if postie has been doing round for 7 years and only seen Saad for the last 3 or 4. No mention of the girls at all which is unusual, children like to take the post in.
Interesting ‘breaking news’ timeline here from AFP. {http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jcT4DPQCHwtE3K16tB0Uj5hnEr7g?docId=CNG.230ef1109cfdd13762e5b185cc6bb6e8.3e1}
Note (i) how quickly RAF man is not a suspect (inside 24hrs) despite (ii) the delay in processing the scene “We had instructions not to enter the car and not to move the bodies,” Lieutenant-Colonel Benoit Vinnemann of the local gendarmerie told AFP.
Straw…… that would depend on time of delivery ?
He would share the round with another colleague too & remember he also said they received very little post,
Now that we know the sophisticated type of monitoring of ship movements via satellite, including the type of satellite built by SSTL and sent up into space this summer, how can an event like this one take place:
http://www.veteranstoday.com/2012/04/30/raw-reports-nuclear-threat-from-germany/
Oxford and Boeing mentioned, along with various agencies.
Maybe someone ran some wiring through a dummy circuit.
“Its very relevant if postie has been doing round for 7 years and only seen Saad for the last 3 or 4. No mention of the girls at all which is unusual, children like to take the post in.”
But if he was working he’d never be there when the post came.
Same for the kids, they’d be at school, only chance of meeting the postie would be on Saturdays.
Postie would just end up seeing the wife.
katielogic says : if someone is interviewed ‘live’ on TV then they tell the truth, the hole(sic) truth and nothing but the truth. are you f**cking serious katie? youre not, youre prob not even gashed so “spider, dance the f**king drink back to me” 🙂
Goodness !!

Of course it’s relevant that the postman has only seen him for the last 3 or 4 years…out of the 7 last 7 he’s been doing it.
Because he wasn’t there. But back for the eldest to start school.
I guess in all the “confusing”, no one told the “authorities” that the postman would turn up…and Sky News would stick a microphone in his bugle and tell 5 million concerned views “He’s only been here four years” !
“Details, details. Things to do. Things to get done. Dont bother me with details, just tell me when theyre” (Layer Cake).
Trouble is…they missed that detail !
Today (06.09.2012) at 0750 we received information that a
Defence Advisory Notice or ‘D Notice’ was in effect with regard to certain facts about this story.
No mention of his links to the Security Services
No mention of his links to Iran
No mention of his links to nuclear weapons research
No speculation regarding Israel involvement in the killing
Some speculative findings about SAH’s possible links to nuclear weapons research…
SAH reportedly worked for Rutherford Appleton Research Centre in Oxfordshire for a university placement when he was studying a degree at Kingston University in 1984, and he “regularly came back in the summers”.
{http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/french-alps-shooting-

Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) is also known as the Science & Technologies Facilities Council (STFC). They operate “world class experimental facilities including … the Central Laser Facility.”
{http://www.stfc.ac.uk/About+STFC/5877.aspx}
STFC is also the majority shareholder in Diamond Light Source, a third generation synchrotron light source facility based at Harwell Oxford, South Oxfordshire. The Diamond Light Source
Diamond produces X-ray, infrared and ultra-violet beams.
{http://www.stfc.ac.uk/5807.aspx}
A mere 23 miles away from RAL is the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) at Aldermaston.
The old laser facility at the AWE site has been replaced by a new facility [the Orion Laser] which is 1,000 times more powerful… It is believed that scientists are working closely with the National Ignition Facility in the US which has similar capabilities.
{http://www.cnduk.org/campaigns/no-to-trident/aldermaston}
The National Ignition Facility has “192 giant lasers, housed in a ten-story building the size of three football fields, will deliver at least 60 times more energy than any previous laser system. NIF will focus more than one million joules of ultraviolet laser energy on a tiny target in the center of its target chamber—creating conditions similar to those that exist only in the cores of stars and giant planets and inside a nuclear weapon.”
{https://lasers.llnl.gov/about/nif/}
The New Scientist has reported a number of times about a possible new form of nuclear weapon, the so-called “hafnium bomb”. This would require a specific nuclear isotope of the element hafnium named “hafnium-178m2”.
{http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn4049-gammaray-weapons-could-trigger-next-arms-race.html}
To build one of these hafnium bombs you’d need some hafnium, a particle accelerator to turn it into hafnium-178m2, and possibly a laser to trigger it (no one is quite sure about this part of the process).
The Cezus/Areva factory where Sylvain Mollier worked produced both Zirconium and Hafnium.
And Saad Al Hilli worked at the RAL, where they have both the “Central Laser Facility” and the Diamond Light synchrotron (a particle accelerator).
And RAL is just down the road from AWE Aldermaston, with its hugely powerful Orion laser.
It was speculated some time back on the other thread that perhaps SAH had discovered or knew the secret of how to trigger a hafnium bomb…
So… no hard evidence, but some more pieces to fit into the jigsaw.

Seems to tie into the story of the scientist who was seconded from Daresbury Laboratory in 2003 to work for the National Research Council of Canada’s Neutron Beam Centre at AECL Chalk River. But not before doing some research at Grenoble on irradiation of capillaries. For some reason, he mentioned a dental drill as being part of the equipment used. Same scientist was found dead in 2010 in Canada.
By coincidence, an air force colonel who commanded a base with a Weapons of Mass Destruction unit, was in the middle of a killing spree at the time, although women were his targets.

In your article…..
A woman who lives in a house near the al-Hilli family, who was clearly upset, said she used to take the daughters to school sometimes.
Odd thing to say when on what should have been Zeena’s first ever school day she was cowering on the floor in her mothers blood for 8 hours.
This link says the nearest pre-school, playshool and creche are 1.2 or 1.5 miles away:-

Had anybody ever thought about the matter of fact that satellites and satellite geo tracking could have played a significant part in the 911 false flag operation?
That operation was concerted by iraqi shia groups in connection with … And … And ….
Of course the iraqi shia groups got power in iraq after the fall of saddam and his sunni baath party members. Great success, mission accomplished. Of course the uk based irawi shia groups informed the usa about so called WMD and about the names of the so called hijackers, e.g. Mohammed atta.
Of course, if you lose your friends because you are treating them and their inteterests badly, then this former friends might perhaps blackmail you in order to tell what they know about the false flag operations.
Staw44berry, at 6:50pm on 1.10.12, so maybe she meant she took one to pre-school, the other to school on the same ‘run’ – maybe she was simplifying, esp. if upset. As someone said earlier, such small apparent discrepancies are unlikely to be important.
Btw, unfortunately, I’ve had no response whatsoever from my posts in three progressive Muslim groups’ pages on Facebook. One person clicked that they ‘liked’ my post; otherwise, zilch. Ah well, it was worth a try.
I see I was censored arbitrarily AGAIN last night.
What’s the fucking point of posting for the day shift if everything is FUCKING DELETED!
Eh?
NO Suhayl, the four year old was due to start for the first time,on their return.
Unless she meant first day at the same school as the older one.
No pre-school teachers/mothers came forward from any other school though.
Totally EXCELLENT work felix on the psy-op angle!
The only problem I have with it is, who are the psyop players trying to fool?
Because if we can pick apart the psyop, so can all the intel agencies.
I HOPE they are all alive.
I don’t like people being killed.
Information flow diagram: Spooks → BBC → French prosecutor → BBC / world media → idiot public
Psy-op.
=====
Now, the public have been hoodwinked.
We need to ask, WHY.
WHY the charade?
I wouldn’t underestimate the public, Anders7777. Many people, esp. after for example, Diana/Iraq War/David Kelly, etc., and esp. post-web, suspect all kinds of shenanigans in many areas – not everyone says so, openly.
