The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

As I’ve said, surely Saad al-Hilli, who worked building satellites, would have known about GPS tracking. If his car was equipped with GPS, or a customer assistance device, neither would need to be activated for someone with means to find him. Were the cellphones in his vehicle Blackberries? Was the car park at Chevaline in a cell phone dead zone, as Brett Martin seems to have indicated? All those old questions still apply.
Was Saad al-Hilli leading someone on a wild goose chase, away from something or somebody else?
Was that book all cut & paste Nuid ? 😉

“That does not mean the CIA are cooperating with Mossad. And as I said, I doubt if Mossad discuss their plans with the CIA. Or anyone else for that matter.

During the 1990s, the Mossad discovered a Hezbollah agent operating within the United States in order to procure materials needed to manufacture IEDs and other weapons. In a joint operation with U.S. intelligence, the agent was kept under surveillance in hopes that he would betray more Hezbollah operatives, but was eventually arrested.[7]
The Mossad informed the FBI and CIA in August 2001 that based on its intelligence as many as 200 terrorists were slipping into the United States and planning “a major assault on the United States.” The Israeli intelligence agency cautioned the FBI that it had picked up indications of a “large-scale target” in the United States and that Americans would be “very vulnerable.”[8] However, “It is not known whether U.S. authorities thought the warning to be credible, or whether it contained enough details to allow counter-terrorism teams to come up with a response,”[9] A month later, terrorists struck at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.[8]
After a tense May 25, 1967 confrontation with CIA Tel Aviv station chief John Hadden, who warned that the United States would help defend Egypt if Israel launched a surprise attack, Mossad director Meir Amit flew to Washington, D.C. to meet with U.S. Defense Secretary Robert McNamara and reported back to the Israeli cabinet that the United States had given Israel “a flickering green light” to attack.[36]
In early February 2012, Mossad director Tamir Pardo met with U.S. national security officials in Washington, D.C. to sound them out on possible American reactions in the event Israel attacked Iran over the objections of the United States.[45]
According to the Islamic republic state-run newspaper Iran, Asgari was captured by a joint team of Mossad and CIA and then tortured by them.[21] This claim of torture was denied by a source in the Iranian military, who said that the Iranians have no information on his current situation.[22] In an interview with Fars News, Asgari’s daughter said that “I’m sure that United States and Israel have kidnapped him”.[23]

I wonder does Anders know that some international commentators think that Israel is not, in fact, at all worried about Iran and nuclear weapons. What they want is the water of South Lebanon. They tried to take that before and failed. Now they reckon that they can only get their hands on it by knocking out Syria, and then Iran.
LoL . 🙂
“I can’t be arsed missus.”
Really????
Living in France has taught me that any appointment with a French person means the agreed time is only a rough guide. They don’t seem to have any idea about punctuality.
Less than ideal agent material, then, but they somehow seem to get by nonetheless, and they do have some absolutely *delightful* espionage mysteries. (I have just tried a Google search on the name “Serge LePetit,” but, alas, came up with nothing.)
Anyway, just for the record and for your information, I don’t believe that Mossad or any other western intelligence agency had anything to do with this, but that is just my gut feeling. I tend to rely on my gut feeling in these matters, just like an art critic assessing the overall composition of a picture or the angle of the brushstrokes. Then again, I have absolutely no idea who might have committed this heinous crime.
I should have realised that if he was a davidicke fan he’d be an alex jones fan as well … Christ

Anyone know who lives in Zaid Al Hilli’ Walton on Thames home? He has a £290,000 semi there.

How about a few FACTS Peter instead of us listening to your entrails talking to you?
Here are some FACTS.
Mossad operations in FRANCE:
Cherbourg Project – Operation Noa, the 1969 smuggling of Israel Navy boats out of Cherbourg.
The alleged killing of Zuheir Mohsen, a pro-Syrian member of the PLO in 1979.[16]
The alleged killing of Atef Bseiso, a top intelligence officer of the PLO in Paris in 1992. French police believe that a team of assassins followed Atef Bseiso from Berlin, where that first team connected with another team to close in on him in front of a Left Bank hotel, where he received three head-shots at point blank range.[17]
The killing of Yehia El-Mashad, the head of the Iraq nuclear weapons program, in 1980.[18]
The killing of Dr. Mahmoud Hamshari, coordinator of the Munich massacre with an exploding telephone in his Paris apartment in 1972.[15]
The killing of Dr. Basil Al-Kubaissi, who was involved in the Munich massacre, in Paris in 1973.[15]
The killing of Mohammad Boudia, member of the PFLP, in Paris in 1973.[15]
On April 5, 1979, Mossad agents are believed to have triggered an explosion which destroyed 60 percent of components being built in Toulouse for an Iraqi reactor. Although an environmental organization, Groupe des écologistes français, unheard of before this incident, claimed credit for the blast,[19] most French officials discount the claim. The reactor itself was subsequently destroyed by an Israeli air strike in 1981.[19][20]
The Mossad allegedly assisted Morocco’s domestic security service in the disappearance of dissident politician Mehdi Ben Barka in 1965.[21]

Alright, but if one rules out intelligence services how can WBM be explained? If he is, as reported, a bystander happening on the scene, then how did he prove that so quickly and unequivically to the French police who seem to have decided he was not a suspect inside 24hrs, and despite the car remaining unopened until approx 11pm?

Persian Jews (Hebrew: יהודי פרס, Persian: یهودیان ایرانی) are Jews historically associated with Iran, traditionally known as Persia in Western sources.
Judaism is among the oldest religions practiced in Iran and the Biblical Book of Esther contains references to the experiences of the Jews in Persia. Jews have had a continued presence in Iran since the time of Cyrus the Great of the Achaemenid Empire. Cyrus invaded Babylon and freed the Jews from Babylonian captivity.
Today, only 8,756 Persian Jews remain in Iran, with much larger diaspora populations living in Israel and the United States.[3]
