The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

Was “Oaken Lane” Saad’s personal miniature “Oak Ridge”?
Yes, you’ve said many things Bluebird, among them, that intelligence agencies could find out about any of us in ½ hour, which as of today seems to be a correct claim.
Click on me name an see today’s top story — with more than 3.500 comments — about how just an email-address is enough to spy on ALL our internet activity, as well as our physical location. And here i thought that a web based email account was a way to avoid any snooping!

Oak Ridge is a good topic. It’s probably very close to truth.
I would really like to find out what lab/company the British branch of Fornsat is.
In the Roadbed Database we have a real time database of the geolocations of practically everybody on earth who owns a mobile phone, a truck, a modern car, a modern boat or an airplane. That requires fast and instant data transfer from satellites.
Click that database and you can see where exactly tim.v. currently is.
Nice database for drone wars, isnt it?
Regarding posting surveillance on the internet.
It happens and it already happened. It’s a simple database click into the MAC profiles of the internet users.

If you are suggesting he had the computing power to have some sort of mini-NSA/GCHQ then absolutely NOT but a huge, huge margin.

I seem to recall that one such, namely the right honoured (God rest his soul), Mr Anders visited Florida once, and incidentally the right honoured historian Mr. David Irving has many ‘alternative’ (let’s put it this way) interpretations of world events compared to the mainstream media, without this being any hindrance for him visiting the land of the free. He is banned from Canada, Australia and until recently Germany.

A director of this company is MR JAMES BARNETT
“Mr James Barnett was born in 1966 and the first directorship we have on file was in 1997 at Jrb Concept Designs Limited. Him most recent directorship is with Ams 1087 Limited where he holds the position of “Contractor”. This company has been around since 14 Dec 2000 and lists it’s registered address as being in Wiltshire. In total, James has held 4 directorships, 2 of which are current, and 2 are previous.”
Whereas for SHTECH he uses his accountants address with 79 other companies. It appears that Zaid only ceased to be the Company Secretary of this one 18 months before the killing (to be replaced by Iqbal) and about the same time as he moved to his current Chessington address. Indications of a falling out?
Anything significant why different business addresses are used for the two firms with which he was associated?

This information is pretty “old hat” but I’m not sure if anyone has drawn attention to the parting of the ways between Zaid and Saad that happens about the same time as their father’s death, on both business and domestic fronts. If either or both were assets of the SIS one might expect some rather suspicious indicators in the companies involved. I can’t really see any tho I haven’t got BB’s skill.
“21 other people also use KT10 0RG in their address
3 companies are also registered at KT10 0RG” – the Oaken Lane address which I suppose can be explained by the post code covering the whole road? If it only related to No. 26 it would be rather strange wouldn’t it?

Try an buy a new car and turn your mobile phone ON. Perhaps this will help.
And you you think there’s any point me applying for an American visa?
No point, as you’re already American
Anyone remember this case? NB French knowledge of e-mail and mobile content and even supplied list of visits inside UK to British MI5! Yet apperently quite ignorant of Al Hilli traffic. Oh yea!
Fears Al Qaeda-linked scientist was planning nuclear attack on UK after MI5 learn he worked at top-secret British lab
By JASON LEWIS and PETER ALLEN
UPDATED: 09:36, 11 October 2009
“With almost no noise, a spearhead unit rushed up the concrete steps leading to the cramped flat in Vienne, South-East France. A battering ram was used to break the lock and the warning ‘Armed police!’ shouted.
Large-calibre machine pistols and other weapons were aimed at those inside the flat, including the brothers’ parents and siblings.
Secret agents had been monitoring the brothers’ movements, and all their phone calls, text messages and emails were being bugged ‘in real time and minute by minute’, according to a security source.
‘It was like we were sitting on their shoulders. We knew exactly what they were saying.’”

“It’s a redoubtable tool,” said the antiterrorism magistrate Marc Trévidic, in an interview last year.
Standards for admissible evidence are lower in France than in the United States, Mr. Trévidic noted. Wiretaps and other surveillance are far more common and easily authorized, as well, allowing authorities to build cases that might be impossible elsewhere.
Scientist Sentenced in French Terror Case
By SCOTT SAYARE
Published: May 4, 2012
PARIS — A Paris court on Friday sentenced a French-Algerian particle physicist to five years in prison, one of them suspended, on the charge of “criminal association with the intent to prepare terrorist acts,”
“Mr. Trévidic acknowledged, however, that the system “can produce abuses.”
Nor is it fail-safe. In March, just days before Dr. Hicheur’s trial, police commandos in Toulouse killed Mohammed Merah, the 23-year-old self-proclaimed jihadi who killed seven people in a series of shootings that month.
Like Dr. Hicheur, Mr. Merah had been under surveillance by French intelligence.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/05/science/cern-scientist-adlene-hicheur-sentenced-to-4-years-in-french-terrorism-case.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
“Using sophisticated monitoring equipment that allows them to read emails as they are transmitted, French intelligence concluded in recent days that Adlène Hicheur had reached the “intention or desire stage” of preparing to mount an attack on a nuclear site. A French intelligence source told the news agency Agence France-Presse that he had not yet reached the “action stage” of gathering materials and detailed information. He had, however, put forward a list of several possible targets in emails sent to people in North Africa known to be linked to “al-Qa’ida in the Islamic Maghreb” or AQIM.
The monitoring equipment used by the French intelligence services is so elaborate that it “is almost like reading over someone’s shoulder”, the then French interior minister, Michèle Alliot-Marie, said earlier this year. Her successor, Brice Hortefeux, decided last week that it would be dangerous to extend the surveillance any longer.”

If you are as wrong about everything as you are about this, your credibility rating must be nil.
OK, this story was from 2009. I gather. En the future, no terrorist in spe would be so stupid as to use a computer for communication at all, but would use couriers, in so far as any advice from the Magreb or from somalia or from Pakistan is needed for what they intend to do.
Tim V – it is an honour to be low in any ‘credibility’ count conducted by you.
Convicted of terrorism Adlène Hicheur released from prison
Written by Ben Hanan Rhouma | Friday, May 18, 2012
Good news for the Hicheur family and his supporters. Adlène Hicheur, who had recently been convicted on suspicion of terrorism to four years in prison, was released from prison Tuesday, May 15 While he continues to proclaim his innocence, he chose not to appeal the decision to avoid additional eight months of prison. The news was confirmed Saphirnews Thursday, May 17

1 Aug, 2013 – 4:43 pm to “sweeten” it. You are factually wrong. Your comments are personal and vindictive, for what reason I have no idea. I need the mothers side if possible.
Her brothers and sisters…and if they are there, the children they had. Looking for one chap but can’t see him.

I do agree with you that the “nuclear’ may not be very well connected to Saad. there is just very little in everything we have to point to much know-how in that area. Whether it’s a red herring I do not not know, of course, simply because we have not been told and couldn’t find more in the open literature.
But you also suggest that Saad was an expert on surveillance technology and satellite mapping and suggest that this is where his primary role lay. However, surveillance as a specialty area nearly orthogonal to his mechanical engineering background, skill-set wise.
So far, every indication we had was that he was trained in mechanical engineering and the jobs we know of – including at SSTL, which builds what’s known as “small satellites”, and the “kitchen galley” job do indeed have needs for mechanical design.
To the best of my knowledge, so far, I found nothing to link saad to surveillance. Were he indeed such an expert, it would tie some things rather neatly, but so far I haven’t seen it.
That being said, I haven’t seen enough to be confident of Saad educational background and work experience. What we have seen could indeed be an elaborate cover-up. It’s just it would require lots of people (work colleagues etc) keeping mum. Not impossible, of course. Certainly happened just so with Sylvain Mollier, but not easy either. Technical people are notortious tattle tellers. They are just dying “to tell” others what it is they know and do. That’s just geek world.

1 Aug, 2013 – 6:23 pm I do. Believe it or not I was director of a company and had an accountant and a registered address. Well I never.
Tim
I’ll go with the “…or not” option if you don’t mind !
Just waiting for Bluebirds response Tim, so no need to RSVP !
Hopefully I can get somewhere.
James
Please be more precise. Do you want to know details about saad’s mother family?
Or Iqbal’s?
Marlin,
there had been a long discussion on this blog regarding saad working in satellite mapping and satellite surveillence. I believe that this info came from his accountant or from one if his friends into MSM. However, at that time knowing less than today, we did focus for hafnium and zirconium which was a red herring as we know today.
I did not invent the mapping stuff. This had a long discussion on that blog.
Bleb 4:50PM – thanks for posting the guide again – one can never consult it enough times.
So, in line with that piece, here’s a little commentary:
For some time now I’ve noticed that one particular poster on MZT, Lynda, displayed most of the traits of the disinformation agent. In particular, the Avoidance, Selectivity, Team Work, Anti-conspiratorial, Artificial emotions, and sometimes Inconsistency. and Coincidental traits. I would say that someone displaying 6 traits consistently would be pretty conclusive. In particular, I’ve seen her use the artificial emotion and selectivity traits on Tim V – in an effort to undermine a New Emerging Consensus on the forum (namely, that it was the BMW making that U turn, no matter the facts and evidence). Since Tim V was so effective in bolstering his argument, to the point of swaying key members of the forum, while giving tacit encouragement for others to come out of thee woods with their true perceptions, the forum was on its way of deviating substantially from the official position.
Once they figured that Tim V could be rattled by flinging baseless accusations (“bully”!), they were able to get him to leave on his own, leaving the group in a somewhat disjointed state. Plus I stuck around for a while, pondering that copyright business. Then forum goes down for nearly 10-12 days, no doubt for some re-grouping. When it returns, there’s no more talk of copyrighting, and the effort is underway shifting the consensus back to where it was. max – with no further resistance offered – recalculates the tracks’ width, concluding it COULD be the BMW. NR brings up two additional arguments why it’s highly likely (straight car, straight, parallel wheels) and I provide support with a post that states unequivocally that there likely WAS a SUV at le martinet and referring to the obvious fact that it was the car carrying the killer X (IF was re-stated since we can’t know that for sure) then there was a team of at least 2, virtually by definition. taking up james’ comment along the way about “shooting from a distance” – as something that could be and may be some of the bullets were indeed shot from a distance, but that doesn’t alter the picture of driver + shooter.
Big problem, right? early the next day marilyn removes my comment and banishes me from the forum. Problem solved. While welcoming james as a new, now trusted, member of the MZT commenting community, as he is a’abiding by the rules’ (ie, no conspiracy, no 2 -man team, no other 4×4, etc. ). I do understand why marilyn had to “lay down the law”, given that she too has an agenda, one that my postings had the potential to disrupt. though my opinion is that her agenda ts not identical to Lynda’s (and no, I don’t think that Marilyn could have ever been katie. No reason for her to do that plus wrong MO altogether). marilyn’s interests are simple enough to discern – she is an author, with mystery novels as specialty, so keeping in the good graces of police – the french one – is essential. But Lynda comes from another place, and far be it from me to venture a guess as to what her agenda might be.
Result for now – peace reins again at MZT, discussion veers off to bullets, re-enactment, sequence of shots, may be Sylvain is “target”, then girls are released, Zaid’s bail re-extended. All safe again with lots of discussions about sights, sounds and tea. Lynda continues to post ubiquitously, a newcomer is welcomed into the fold (partlucid, who knows how to frame questions all directed to “safe” areas, with discussion flowing at just within the assigned bounds), FB is thanked profusely, invitations are issued and expressions of sympathy for all involved are generously proffered.
Typo: “… brings up two additional arguments why it’s highly likely”. should read, of course, “UNlikely”. Too much haste….
Blue…
Most likely it’s Saad’s mums brother(s)/sister(s).
Specifically a cousin that Saad who lives in Istanbul area.
I think it’s mothers side as the fathers side is “understood”.
