Not Forgetting the al-Hillis 22278

The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.

Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:

the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?

The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.

Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.

There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.

But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.

The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

“Speaking to French radio RTL on Wednesday, Surrey’s police and crime commissioner, Kevin Hurley, admitted: “We know that a 7.65 calibre Lugar was the murder weapon, but we don’t know anything other than that.” Saying that the case was the most mysterious he had come across in 20 years, he said: “It’s easy to be wise after the event, but we just don’t know.”

He added: “We don’t really know whether there was one killer, or if there were accomplices. The real issue is we don’t know the motive.” ”

New argument for all of you to use in your discussions against intervention in Syria’s civil war

Proponents of war use to refer to Syria as a signatory of the Geneva Protocol of 1925, which bans chemical weapons. But it deals only with chemical weapons used externally, it simply doesn’t mention chemical weapons used inside your own country. Then it can be argued that a consensus has emerged since the mid 90’s that “it also covers CW used internally” (see some lawyers debating it here), but it is important to remember that there is no legal text which states that it is banned to use them inside your own country.

So it is a little rich to be willing to bomb a country in defence of “a norm”, which isn’t written down anywhere.[and ironic if the bombs used for the intervention is more deadly than the CW’s, which latter actually are very crude weapons and difficult to use on the battlefield] Indeed as John Mearsheimer says, thats why Obama always taks about ‘morms’

    Money quotation [my emphasis]:

JOHN MEARSHEIMER:The Arab League has not sanctioned an attack. You can’t get Security Council approval. The Russians and the Chinese will veto it. And, in fact, if we do go to war, it will not be a legal war. This is why President Obama talked about norms ad nauseam in his comments and didn’t talk about international law, because he knows he can’t do this legally.

But the fact is that the United States has no vested interest in what is going on in Syria. This is not a strategically important country. It’s deeply regrettable that people are being killed. It’s deeply regrettable that’s there’s a civil war going on, but it’s not the United States’ responsibility to get into the middle of it, because every time we do this, we end up in a situation like Afghanistan, a situation like Iraq.

We take a situation that’s bad and we just make it worse. The idea that we have some magic formula that can fix these problems is simply not the case. And the historical record is very clear on this. So my bottom line is, stay out militarily, and do everything that we can to shut it down diplomatically.

    Enslavement – Entrapment?

Obama at Stockholm synagogue offers a ‘shanah tovah’

    September 4, 2013 1:43pm

At a Holocaust memorial outside the synagogue, Obama delivered a short Rosh Hashanah greeting.

“To all our Jewish friends here in Sweden, in the United States and around the world — >especially in Israel — I want to wish you and your families a sweet and happy new year,” he said. “L’shanah tovah.”

Obama met with Swedish leaders and toured presentations of the country’s innovations in environmentally friendly technologies on a stopover before he headed to St. Petersburg for a G20 industrial nations summit.

The White House on Wednesday also released Obama’s video message for the Jewish New Year. The message recalled a speech delivered 50 years ago by Rabbi Joachim Prinz at the Lincoln Memorial, just prior to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic speech at the March on Washington.

“Representing the thousands of Jews there that day, [Prinz] told the marchers, ‘When God created man, he created him as everybody’s neighbor. Neighbor is not a geographic term. It is a moral concept,’ ” Obama said.

“As the High Holidays begin, it’s a chance not just to celebrate with friends and family, but to ask some of life’s most piercing questions: Am I treating strangers with kindness? Am I living not just for myself but for others? Am I doing my part to repair the world?”

Obama also recalled his visit to Israel earlier this year to “renew the unbreakable bond between our two countries.”

Further to my previous comment & link.

Was Saad determined to regain his fathers fortune ‘knowing’ how it was lost/taken…the paperwork mentioned would/could suggest something was found with Kadhim’s effects.

So was this arguing between the two brothers not about the money per se, but about Zaids fear for them both should his brother be pushing ‘someone’ to return the family fortune stolen from them IE: sequestered before leaving Iraq.

Could that money in Geneva be silence…blackmail… money, but Saad wanted more ?

Was Saad’s fear due to a threat after being told ‘shut up or else’ ?

The lawyers would know, but even they would be afraid of taking on that wealthy someone who regularly uses Carter Ruck & threats.

That would tie up with my theory.

Kenneth you do get excited about any Jewish connection you can find.

Why is it Obama’s visit to Sweden could not have been about Assange & Snowden ?

I did not participate in the shreen discussion because i had that stomach feeling that she/he is just another fat bastard clown first claiming about how much they would know and that everybody else is just an unethical idiot while they are not submitting only one single bit of useful information to prove their claims. I am neither convinced either that they knew Saad. What we had heard could directly come from a Vauxhall office through one of their paid disinformants, including that published and shared photo of Iqbal.

I copy/paste that paragraph from huff post to support my opinion.

To respect the investigation, I have deliberately avoided going into detail of which pieces of information I think are misleading or incorrect. I understand there is an argument for getting the public involved in the investigation, but it is not something I’m comfortable with. The one thing I must mention however, before I pull my hair out, is that Saad’s employer SSTL is NOT a defence company – basic online fact checking should have eliminated this spurious piece of info a long time ago.

    My thoughts:
    1) Everything is allegedly wrong but he/she does not want to tell us what is wrong nor adding any useful details either. Typical for disinformation campaigns.

    2) “i am not comfortable with that the public is involved”. Meaning: “shut up and care for your own problems”. That is a typical message of disinformation to suppress the truth.

    3) SSTL is no defence company. Nobody ever did claim that they produce tanks or guns. However, SSTL certainly is very important for military, surveillance and information gathering regarding military objects and war progress. Their satellites are more useful for modern warfare than aircraft carriers and tanks.
Typical disinformation. Meaning: “Shut up, dont search there because you are wrong. I say so.”

I wouldnt be that harsh if shreen had submitted only one bit of new and approvable information or if he/she would have given us some reasons or proof to support her opinion. Nothing! Except for that we shall shut up and that we are unethical and idiots. I dont buy such kind of reasoning. We dont need a teacher telling us how to behave. However, we want answers and facts. But hey! Nothing! Neither shreen nor fat bastard.
They both simply said “hello from Vauxhall”.

    Bb

  • Ricki Tarr

Come on guys lets not get too harsh too quickly on Shreen, give her a chance to come back and give us some information, I think at some point the children will want to know the truth or at least peoples theories, I am sure she would want to help them understand if she is who she says she is! I remember seeing her on tv taking flowers to the house!

Also if it was misinformation on a technical level then it would be GCHQ not Mi5 at Vauxhall………………haha just sayin! what a job though where do apply?

Any news from the press conf? a year on and we have got through so much info and all been educated on world affairs because of this, ive enjoyed reading and sharing ideas with you guys and want to thank you all for youre input!

The truth will set us free!

    Ricki tarr

I am still hoping that they prove their claims with facts.

However, all i could read so far submitted by shreen and fb i could have heard from the circus clown next door, too.

They should begin telling us approvable facts. However, so far there was nothing useful but disinformation and trolling. I am waiting for useful bits of information. Still nothing there except for caims without any substances and useless accusations.

So zhen. I claim that i was Zaid’s girlfriend. Would you believe me? Certainly not. What if i said that with another nickname? Would you trust me?

What i wanted to say: without any useful facts and approvable bits of inside information submitted here or elsewhere, i simply dont trust them and suggest a hidden/dirty agenda.
They are welcome to prove me the contrary anytime.

  • Ricki Tarr

Facts would be great BB, its been dirty since day one! that what attracted me to the story!

    Question

Does anybody have records for that link to that spanish newspaper that did report about kadhim’s death? I remember that there was an article mentioning the name of a guy who “was with him during his last days” of life. My first investigation did lead towards a high ranked muslim cleric, but i debunked him at that time, not knowing about who hajj sheikh kadhim al husayn really was.
I would really like to know that name for further investigation regarding the shaaban family.
I know that this info is somewhere in that blog here, too. I simply cant find it because there is no search function.

    Please help!

  • Ricki Tarr

Shreen if you live in Derby how did you meet Saad and at what company or did you meet him in one of the many message boards you are a member of, if so which one?

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Hussein_Fadlallah

Hajj Sheikh Husayn al Hilli was the teacher of Mohammad Hussein Fadl Allah in Najaf.

    Quotes:

He has been variously attributed by the media as being the spiritual leader of Hezbollah. Al Manar said he had at least “inspired the leaders” of the group. It added that “From the pulpit of the Imam Rida mosque in the Bir al-Abd neighborhood, Sayyed Fadlullah’s sermons gave shape to the political currents among mainly the Muslim Shiite sect [of Lebanon], from the latter half of the 1980s till the last days of his life.”[20] Although other sources such as noted journalist Robert Fisk also refuted such claims that he was affiliated with the group.

He has asked for a boycott of American products. All American and Israeli goods and products should be boycotted in a way that undermines American and Israeli interests so as to act as deterrence to their war against Muslims and Islam that is being waged under the pretense of fighting terrorism. This boycott should become an overwhelming trend that makes these two states feel that their economies are in a real and actual danger.[23]In November 2007, Fadlallah accused the United States of trying to sabotage theelection in Lebanon: “The insanity of the U.S. president and its administration is reflected in Lebanon by their ambassador pressuring the Lebanese people and preventing them from reaching an agreement over the presidential election

He also first endorsed Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani rather than AyatollahAli Khamenei as the marja for Shia in matters of religion, before claiming the role for himself.[31] In an 2009 interview, Fadlallah said that he does not believe wilayat al-faqih has a role in modern Lebanon

Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah was known for his relatively liberal views on women, whom he sees as equal to men

Fadlallah was quoted as saying “We have to improve our education and gain more scientific knowledge. If we do not make the best of our time now, we will not be able to build our future or develop in the Future.”[43]In addition to the academic work that Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah did, he also opened up schools, Islamic centres, andorphanages:[44]

    Schools

The Imam Al-Khoei Orphanage, Beirut (Dawha)

Prime Minister of Lebanon Saad Hariri, called him “a voice of moderation and an advocate of unity” for the Lebanese people.[52] Hezbollah declared three days ofmourning and Secretary General Hasan Nasrallah vowed to stay faithful to the “sacred goals” he had “sacrificed his life to achieve

His family thanked Hezbollah’s Secretary General and leadership for the consolations they expressed

An Israeli spokesman said Ayatollah Fadlallah was “unworthy of praise”. They also criticised Britain’s ambassador to Lebanon for eulogising him

Robert Fisk wrote in The Independent “I do believe that Fadlallah was a very serious and very important man whose constant sermons on the need for spiritual regeneration and kindness did more good than most in a country constantly flooded in a rhetoric bath. Hundreds of thousands attended his funeral in Beirut on Tuesday. I am not surprised.”[21]The Telegraph’sexecutive foreign editor Con Coughlin wrote an article saying “Don’t be fooled by all the tributes that are pouring out following the death in Beirut at the weekend of Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, the so-called spiritual leader of the radical Shi’ite Muslim militia Hizbollah. The U.S. State Department’s classification of Fadlallah as a terrorist was spot on, and when you look back at his track record you can see he was right up there with other infamous terror masterminds, such as Abu Nidal and Carlos the Jackal.

Sounds exactly of what we had learnt about the al Hilli and the Shaaban family (including al Sistani and al Khoei):

He was open to Christians and Sunnis and wanted unity in the Arab world. He opposed America’s support for Israel against the Palestinians because he was against injustice, but he was never against the American people,” added Berro.

In 1985 Fadlallah survived a car bomb assassination in Beirut, which the American journalist Bob Woodward later found had been planned and funded by the CIA and Saudi Arabia in revenge for what America saw as Fadlallah’s leading role in the suicide attack that killed 241 American servicemen in Beirut two years earlier.

    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/jul/04/ayatollah-mohammed-hussein-fadlallah-dies

I am pretty sure that he did accompany and spiritually support his friend Hajj Sheikh Kadhim al Husayn, the son of his great teacher Ayatollah Husayn al Hilli, during the last days before his death in Spain.

  • bluebird

And besides the above, he did certainly take care of the inheritance, particularly regarding the Hezbollah money that was frozen in switzerland and elsewhere and that was probably under control of hajj sheikh kadhim or already under control by his first son, the accountant.

  • Ricki Tarr

Great work again BB! there is so much more to this story than meets the eye (as we have always found and suspected)!

@Ferret – To be fair to Shreen, she did say she would respond if emailed, so not necessarily on this blog.

However I would not in the least blame her for not returning to this blog after some of the recent posts (some, from one source, seem familiar in style don’t you think?).

  • Diogenes

Would I had a time machine and could look at the al-Hilli murders with 100 or a 1000 years hindsight, and see whether they had import equivalent to arch duke Ferdinand’s demise or if they were “simply” a horrific family tragedy.

Either way, as a “lurker” on this blog, I couldn’t let this day pass without comment.

    take care all
