The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
I will get in touch with both Dirk Adriaensens and the UN covertly. anyone seen Dirk’s email address anywhere I dont want to go tthrough facebook but will if I have to.
Its ok I have his email.
Good luck Ricki, I shall look forward to hearing what happens & if you receive a reply !
Thanks ricki
Dirk seems to know a lot regarding iraq.
I would like to submit the following questions if possible:
Dirk, we are aware of your deep insights regarding iraq and human rights. We read some of your articles, one of those dealing with a failed geneva human rights iraq conference sept 19 2012.
The failed geneva conference sept 19th 2012 did coincidentally collide with the Chevaline assassinations.
You mentioned that the iraqi participants did arrive 20 days earlier (about aug 31st).
1. Do you know about why the participants did already arrive 20 days prior to the conference?
Had there been plans for preparing conference statements or discussions and were there inofficial meetings prior to that conference?
2. Our deep investigations regarding the killed members of the al Allaf, al Hilli and the al Saffar families in Chevaline told us that all three iraqi families were deeply involved into the United Nations and in human rights activities regarding iraq.
Did you ever run across one of their names (or their families) in regards to your investigations of human rights in iraq and regarding any of the UNO organisations?
3. Do you have a list of (some of the) participants or speakers regarding that failed geneva conference?
4. Do you (perhaps accidentally) have any other information that would help us to understand the reason of the Chevaline crime?
I recommend to read dirk adriaenses facebook pages.
There is tons of information.

Don’t worry Ricki Tarr
29 Oct, 2013 – 12:15 pm – he will be briefed by GCHQ.
First reply: I have pushed back and asked for a contact.
Good morning,
For your information, UNOG hosted the conference but did not take part in the conference itself. We are not in a position to provide any further information on this event.
Best regards,
UNOG Website Administrators Team
Sorry but no. You may wish to contact the League of Arab States.
Best regards,
UNOG Website Administrators Team
Thanks ricki
Sounds as if they’re not interested to provide any kind of information regarding that conference. Perhaps they arent allowed to.
If it happened in their own buildings then they ought to have a list of participants. You simply cannot enter the UNO buildings without being on a list of participants or on a list of registered journalists. They wont let you in.
I know that some of you have a better memory regarding dates and timing.
Q1. When did the al hilli family arrive at camping # 1 lake annecy

BACKGROUND
“The most dramatic event of September 2013 was the high-noon stand-off near the Levantine shore, with five US destroyers pointing their Tomahawks towards Damascus and facing them – the Russian flotilla of eleven ships led by the carrier-killer Missile Cruiser Moskva and supported by Chinese warships. Apparently, two missiles were launched towards the Syrian coast, and both failed to reach their destination.
It was claimed by a Lebanese newspaper quoting diplomatic sources that the missiles were launched from a NATO air base in Spain and they were shot down by the Russian ship-based sea-to-air defence system. Another explanation proposed by the Asia Times says the Russians employed their cheap and powerful GPS jammers to render the expensive Tomahawks helpless, by disorienting them and causing them to fail. Yet another version attributed the launch to the Israelis, whether they were trying to jump-start the shoot-out or just observed the clouds, as they claim.
Whatever the reason, after this strange incident, the pending shoot-out did not commence, as President Obama stood down and holstered his guns. This was preceded by an unexpected vote in the British Parliament. This venerable body declined the honour of joining the attack proposed by the US. This was the first time in two hundred years that the British parliament voted down a sensible proposition to start a war; usually the Brits can’t resist the temptation.”

I came across this quote. I wonder if SM thought the same way?
“A technician at the Dimona nuclear weapons production plant, he blew the whistle, and revealed the Israeli nuclear arms program to the nation and the world; a revelation that would cost him dearly. After being kidnapped Israeli Mossad agents in Rome, Vanunu was sentenced at a secret trial to 18 years of jail, 12 years out of them he served in solitary confinement. In the solitude of the jail, he wrote:
Despite of Israel’s nuclear capacity, Vanunu believes the bombs are useless.
“It’s not an issue of UN resolutions; the world would intervene if Israel used its holocaust weapons.” When it comes to having them as a deterrent,” Vanunu explains. “The problem isn’t Iran, Iraq or North Korea; it’s Israeli aggression.
I am your Spy. I am the clerk, the technician, the mechanic, the driver. They said: Do this, do that, don’t look left or right, don’t read the text. Don’t look at the whole machine. You are only responsible for this one bolt. For this one rubber-stamp. This is your only concern. Don’t bother with what is above you. Don’t try to think for us. Go on, drive. Keep going. On, on.
“I refused to be a bolt in the deadly machinery”, Vanunu says after his release in an exclusive interview. After receiving death threats from Jewish extremists and being placed under surveillance and travel restrictions by the Israeli government, Vanunu has taken refuge at St George Cathedral in East Jerusalem. Here Vanunu attends services, rings the bells, and dreams to leave the unyielding clutches of the Jewish state – for England or elsewhere.”

Great BBC documentary on teh story of Vanunu!
I have emailed the League of Arab States.
“Moreover, once Israel acquired nuclear weapons, it became clear that they were not intended solely for adversaries in possible Arab-Israeli war. Israel let it be know that was willing to take down the entire world rather than allow the Zionist dream to come to an end. This is what is known as “the Samson Option,” named after the biblical character who destroyed his enemies by pushing down the columns of a temple, killing himself in the process.
In a paper published by the Federation of American Scientists, Lt. Col. Warner D. Farr of the Air War College describes Israel’s acquisition of a massive nuclear arsenal with long-range and second strike capabilities. He says that Israelis feel that their ability to cause a modern holocaust is the best way to guarantee never having to be subjected to one again.
The Israeli push for nuclear weapons started with David Ben Gurion, the countries first prime minister, and by the 1967 Six-Day War Israel had acquired rudimentary weapons and reportedly the willingness to use them. During the 1973 Yom Kippur War Golda Meir used Israel’s nuclear potential as leverage to persuade Richard Nixon, via Henry Kissinger, to airlift badly needed convention weapons to Israel, which saved Israel from defeat and preserved its hold on territories occupied in 1967.
But the Samson Option is more than simple deterrence, and the potential targets are not restricted to its wartime enemies.
Martin Van Creveld, a prominent professor of military history at the prestigious Hebrew University in Jerusalem, told a Dutch magazine the following in 2002: “We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force.” He went on to say “Our armed forces, however, are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under.” (The original interview appeared in the Dutch weekly magazine:Elsevier, 2002, no. 17, p. 52-53, April 27th, 2002).”

*) No it was pure blackmail to tie the US to it as strategic partner. When the weapons arrived, Israel had gained the initiative. Read my website by clicking on me name about this earth-shaking event that triggered the soaring inflation of the 70’ies, that pushed up inflation across the board thanks to widespread cost-of-living clauses in contracts. In order to make ends meet, governments everywhere took on huge loans, some of which are still running, albeit usually in a refinanced form. Britain was close to being put under administration by the IMF. On my webpage you can see the cost for Denmark [notice how the National bank since I made my page in 2009, had changed the chart about national debt, so that it starts in 1985, and not 1975]– go ahead and make a webpage for the cost to your country.
And all of this wasn’t in the slightest necessary, because the Arabs knew about Israel nuclear weapons, and only sought to enhance their bargaining position in coming peace negotiations by taking the areas back, that Israel has conquered in 1967.

Go forth and multiply; Lets make a plethora of websites of the costs of this event
Britain was close to being put under administration by the IMF. Arabs had no suicidal leanings
And all of this wasn’t in the slightest necessary. The Arabs had no suicidal leanings and therefore no intention of entering Israel proper but only sought to enhance their bargaining position in coming peace negotiations by taking the areas back, that Israel has conquered in 1967.
You say: Why would the National Bank change a chart about the national debt so that it starts in 1985 and not in 1975 when it took of (Before 1975 there were NO national debt).
Answer: Maybe the genetic composition of Mr. Nils Bernstein, our last governor of the National Bank, who stood down in February [when he turned 70] this year, may have something to do about it. But as you can see on my webpage, I took a screenshot of the old chart, which starts in 1975. Of course when talking about extraordinary events — in this case a sudden explosion of national debt — one wants to see the chart starting when…it all took off.
An article in The Telegraph by Henry Samuel reminded me of the Dordogne, and that brought me here to check on the al-Hilli story. That was a bizarre and tragic tale, and so is this. It is stranger than fiction, and longer, too.
So let’s recap here, AH had a possible three reasons to go to Geneva:
1] The Bank.
2] The Iraqi mission.
3] The conference
We know they didn’t make the bank & the only vague link to any of the three is the missing passports.
We are told all searches have yielded nothing, clearly these PP must be in France or Switzerland,as no one has offered them up only one other possibility remains, they are in the criminals possession.
The killers did not take them, not only was it not possible, were it possible I feel the PP’s found in the car would have also been taken.
This all points to these missing PP’s being given to someone for either safe keeping or updating in some way ?
If the former why have they held onto them ?
If the latter then they have to be at the mission/embassy in Geneva……..have the Police thought to ask the officials there ?
If the Police do have them, why the secrecy, even if in the unlikely event they are CD PP’s the police wouldn’t have to say so & why announce the PP’s are missing in the first place if there was something to hide ?

I have read the book you recommended by Corinne Souza. Absolutely fascinating and thanks for bringing it to our attention. She may well have known of the family and almost certainly has a view as to why they’ve been murdered/assassinated.
Did it strike anyone else (during the Panorama film) as somewhat suspicious that the day of the killing, brother Zaid took the day off to go to Worthing with a friend? I wonder why? Perhaps he knew something was likely to happen and needed to get away from work and try and forget. Who was this friend? We know about one or two of SAH’s but have we had anyone speaking up for Zaid? I too am sure he knows far more about all this than he is letting on. He mentions his fears of going to France and ‘powerful people’ more than once.

30 Oct, 2013 – 10:28 pm. Glad you enjoyed it. My your a fast reader! I also noticed that point about ZAD off to Worthing on the very day. A Wednesday and all so presumably a day off work? Could have been a business trip I suppose but accountants/wage clerks don’t usually get out much? Just another little co-incidence perhaps. We have so many in this story. Did you notice that involuntary GULP in response to the q “Do you know who killed them?” I think? Bit of a give-away I thought. Otherwise a pretty good performance a bit like WBM both having been coached I’m sure.
This is from 2005 but still something to think about:
