Not Forgetting the al-Hillis 22278

The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.

Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:

the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?

The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.

Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.

There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.

But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.

The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

So what happened to Monsieur Maillaud’s promise of an e-fit being issued this week…. all bluff ?

  • Ricki Tarr

I have been reading Robert Baer’s See No Evil, great book so I was reading his artucles fro Time Magazine and came accross this snipit and thought it was relevant as it seems a lot of the power structure moved to London from Iraq and had their hands in the CIA till, is this where Saad’s fathers money came from?

In the ‘90s I returned from overseas to be told I’d have to do some time in the penalty box: namely, help “handle” the Iraqi opposition leaders. At the time many of them were spread across Europe’s capitals, but mostly in London.

I don’t need to get into names here, but what’s important is to understand that when the CIA started seriously backing Saddam’s opposition after his 1990 invasion of Kuwait, we were well aware the money was going down a rat hole.

One Iraqi exile I used to meet, a former senior military officer, fled Iraq to London in the ‘80s. In order to make a living, he set about establishing a reputation as the man to see about unseating Saddam. He let it be known that with a little money he could organize a putsch against Hussein, something quick and relatively bloodless.

Well they have the panniers Ricki Tarr
1 Nov, 2013 – 8:52 am! That French Forestry worker interview on Panorama who disclosed:

    1. he had seen the motor cyclist at Martinet some time around 3.15 (it must be 3.15 because a few minutes later the BMWX5 passes him going up and the British police put this at 3.20)

    2. no mention of either SAH or SM there at the time supports the suggestion that they didn’t come up until after he had cleared the Combe at say 3.25.

    3. however this would impose an impossible time line for SAH and even more so SM, to get to the murder site and be dead by 3.30. It also conflicts directly with what seems to me to be the reliable report of the builders

    4. now if the BMWX5 was rushing up at 3.20, and the suggestion made by the British police is that it was the killers, either the victims were AHEAD of them already at the lay-by, in which case the Forestry guy’s story doesn’t work, or the victims came up AFTER and the X5 was already there when they arrived, in which case there’s not enough time and the builder’s report doesn’t work!

    5. then the Forestry man tells us for the first time that the motor cyclist at some point (after the slaughter presumably if as the French suggest HE was the killer) set off south up the hair pin but is stopped in his tracks by a SECOND forestry team, that not only see his face, but escort him back down past Martinet which by then must have had dead bodies everywhere, but they see absolutely NOTHING!

    6. Something or all of his testimony is just not believable however neither British or French police dispute it!

    7. His evidence is embarrassing for EM as he promptly has to defend the indefensible – i.e. with-holding crucial photo fit evidence that might have helped locate the possible killer. He also has to promise to release it, but yet again has failed to perform.

    8. Nor it it believable that if they stopped the motor cyclist for a traffic offence in the forest, they wouldn’t have at least recorded the registration of the bike or obtained some basic rider information.

    9. Then finally there is the basic question how miraculously Panorama was able to get access to this person and that his employers (the French Government) or Prosecutor allowed him to speak, given the strict rules on secrecy. The French allowing one of their own to be interviewed by the British to embarrass them? NO WAY JOSE!

    10. This exclusive interview of the French forestry worker simply does not work on ANY FRONT.

VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH THIS THREAD BUT INTERESTING ALL THE SAME as to the dichotomy between official transcripts and hidden ones.

“In December of 1932, it seemed inevitable to many observers of the German scene that Hitler was also ready for a toboggan slide into oblivion. Despite the fact that he had done well in national campaigns, he had spent all the money from his usual sources and now faced heavy debts. In his book Aggression, Otto Lehmann-Russbeldt tells us that “Hitler was invited to a meeting at the Schroder Bank in Berlin on January 4, 1933. The leading industrialists and bankers of Germany tided Hitler over his financial difficulties and enabled him to meet the enormous debt he had incurred in connection with the maintenance of his private army. In return, he promised to break the power of the trade unions. On May 2, 1933, he fulfilled his promise.”

“Present at the January 4, 1933 meeting were the Dulles brothers, John Foster Dulles and Allen W. Dulles of the New York law firm, Sullivan and Cromwell, which represented the Schroder Bank. The Dulles brothers often turned up at important meetings. They had represented the United States at the Paris Peace Conference (1919); John Foster Dulles would die in harness as Eisenhower’s Secretary of State, while Allen Dulles headed the Central Intelligence Agency for many years. Their apologists have seldom attempted to defend the Dulles brothers appearance at the meeting which installed Hitler as the Chancellor of Germany, preferring to pretend that it never happened.”

Then there is the latest news of Israel bombing Syria (Russian anti aircraft missiles?). What I found mildly interesting was that in the BBC interview Obama’s “red line” had become Israel’s. Incredibly NEITHER Israel nor Syria (or any other combatant) has admitted to the attack.

He added: “It’s clear that in the name of national security the military trumped that covenant, and physicians were transformed into agents of the military and performed acts that were contrary to medical ethics and practice. We have a responsibility to make sure this never happens again.”The taskforce says that unethical practices by medical personnel, required by the military, continue today. The DoD “continues to follow policies that undermine standards of professional conduct” for interrogation, hunger strikes, and reporting abuse. Protocols have been issued requiring doctors and nurses to participate in the force-feeding of detainees, including forced extensive bodily restraints for up to two hours twice a day.

Doctors are still required to give interrogators access to medical and psychological information about detainees which they can use to exert pressure on them. Detainees are not permitted to receive treatment for the distress caused by their torture.

“Putting on a uniform does not and should not abrogate the fundamental principles of medical professionalism,” said IMAP president David Rothman. “‘Do no harm’ and ‘put patient interest first’ must apply to all physicians regardless of where they practise.”The taskforce wants a full investigation into the involvement of the medical profession in detention centres. It is also calling for publication of the Senate intelligence committee’s inquiry into CIA practices and wants rules to ensure doctors and psychiatrists working for the military are allowed to abide by the ethical obligations of their profession; they should be prohibited from taking part in interrogation, sharing information from detainees’ medical records with interrogators, or participating in force-feeding, and they should be required to report abuse of detainees.

So everyone has DISAPPEARED again? (Apparrently my “software has been accessed” and “files copied by CHKDSK andrecovering file package into Directory 2207”. then have message “Windows 7 Build 7601. This copy of windows is not genuine.” Any ideas what this is about anyone?

  • Ricki Tarr

Maybe would have been an idea to release the make and model
Of the helmet?? There always seems to be information missing in this case!

  • katie

    Ricki.

“Police say the helmet the motorcyclist was wearing is of particular interest as only 8,000 were made in the black or dark colour described by witnesses.

It is a full-face model that opens from the side to allow for conversations, without the rider having to remove the helmet.

“The only helmet on the market that matches this description is the ISR-type GPA helmet,” police said in a statement.

Despite checking with distributors, police have been unable to trace the owner.”

“Police said the helmet was produced in Italy by French specialist company GPA – based in the south of France – and was a “ISR type”

  • katie

It doesn’t help much Ricki, they are sold globally, I see there’s a Japanese model ,GPA……….what does GPA means ?

  • Ricki Tarr

The helmets are pretty cool though!

GPA in the states is – Grade Point Average! Haha

Still asks the question why it has taken a year to out this out there!
Why no height, weight skin colouring or beard colour description!
I think he looks like Baldrick from Blackadder! Aka Tony Robinson!

  • katie

I agree as helmets go it does look cool, but checking them in google images , some are damned expensive ……… over a $1,000 !

If we could find the exact one it could tell us a lot…. but as the French have failed to find it, we couldn’t possibly could we.LoL !!

  • Ricki Tarr

It’s not a shock to me to be honest they are as vague as it gets!

Still no reply from the two contacts re the Iraq conference I’ll have another go tomorrow!

It’s in 1972, in France; in the automotive world that GPA brand was born. GPA designs the famous SJ helmets (without jugular),
revolutionary helmet that is still spoken.

During 20 years the most famous drivers had worn GPA helmets both car like Alain Prost, Nelson Piquet, René Arnoux, Jacques Laffite,
Gilles Villeneuve, Jean-Pierre Beltoise…and motorcycle like Patrick Pons, Bernard Fau, Thierry Tchernine, Gérard Choukroun, Christian Sarron…
    and Michel Valliant as well!

With its expertise, GPA puts its expertise at the service of the public by providing high quality motorcycle helmets, highly innovative.
Among the successes of GPA, it may be noted the SJ “without jugular” and the ISR, the first flip-up which has equipped the police for more than a decade.
Besides the technical side GPA helmets shine by its”style”, such that the series in collaboration with Chevignon, helmets adorned with SWAROVSKI
    crystals, partnership with LACOSTE,…

The brand always stays French. The company headquarters and storage are located in south of France and the production site in Torino (Italy).
GPA is clearly oriented top of the range. Carbon and leather are everywhere.

GPA’s production site is equipped with a control laboratory where our helmets are submitted to crash-tests. At the end accredited laboratory validate homologations.
Our helmets protection level is constantly controlled. The factory is also ISO 9001 standard, pledge of manufacturing process and traceability of our products.
GPA, it is 40 years of history, 40 years of passion which powered our team.

  • Ricki Tarr

Sorry last one! If the guys from the forestry spoke to motorcycle guy why is the accent not
Mentioned – if he was French, Italian or Swiss for example? I go back to what you said last week Katie about the french police knowing more and may have someone in mind? They could have said a lot
more and have not given a Full description just a drawing it doesn’t make sense!

  • katie

Thanks Ricki, interesting about the GPA supplying the police, I have said before that a branch of the French police use white motorbikes with panniers, I’ve just shown the e-fit to someone who is very perceptive………his first reaction was ‘ he looks like a cop’ !!

You are right about an accent, I hadn’t got that far…….was it so obviously French it wasn’t worth mentioning by the witness or is this just more obfuscation by Maillaud & co ?

I am pretty sure the French know who done it…we don’t even know if this is an honest e-fit, but if EM didn’t want him to run surely that means they are watching the guy………….so why wait a year ?

Everything points to them just chucking out a few crumbs of info to make it look as though they are working on the case, when in truth they are simply going through the motions & have no intention of making an arrest.

One last thought, could the rider/assassin, have been intended to look like a courier , under the pretence of delivering the PP’s ……….and bullets ?

Off to bed now, night night.

  • Tim V

    Thanks for those Ricki Tarr
4 Nov, 2013 – 9:35 pm – very informative. Agree with you about the ADDITIONAL information particularly VOICE. They spoke to him to turn him round so unless the forestry guys are linguists the chances are the motor cyclist was FRENCH!!!! Even if they were linguists, if the rider wasn’t French the alternative language would have obvious. If a foreigner speaking French they surely would have noticed. So not only was the identi-kit with-held but all the other personal descriptors as well and we haven’t even mentioned make, model and registration of the bike. Put all this together and EM’s position becomes even more implausible and suspicious. Then we have to ask, even if the French didn’t put the information out, why didn’t the British who must have been party to it. If they weren’t it raised serious questions about co-operation.

Now I am sure you noticed (if we can rely on the reporting) lots of other significant features and questions.

    1. the helmet was not cheap and an Italian/French job pointing again towards a French national and someone with access to money. The manufactures proudly claim they can trace them yet 14 months leads nowhere.

    2. the image is said to be “computer generated”. Does it look computer generated to you. That one looks distinctly human artist created to me.

    3. why not produce an additional one in colour to give a more accurate representation?

    4. apparently he was wearing dark glasses. So were these in addition to the “a full face visor” Strange to say the least. This is not explained.

    5. then we have the distinctive sideway slide – – yet EM specifically refers to the motor cyclist LIFTING his visor

    6. Peter Allen reports “at least” three forestry men seeing him but adds there were others as well who gave descriptions. This makes with holding the information even more inexcusable. And who were these “others”?

    7. As we have come to expect from EM, he gives conflicting impressions. For ages he was pushing the exclusive line there was only one gunman and he was most likely the motor cyclist. Now he says hes probably only a “witness”

    8. He says “A second motorcyclist was reportedly seen in the area after the killings, but did not appear to be fleeing the scene, he added.” So now we have a SECOND. This is the first time he has been mentioned and poses the question What time, where, in what direction and if after the killings must surely have been questioned and identified. This makes at least TWO individuals in the vicinity – the OAP cyclist and another motor cyclist – kept secret.

    9. How could EM possibly take the view that neither the motor cyclist or BMWX5 were necessarily implicated or linked when his own police commander says something different and when neither have been identified or come forward despite appeal. Is EM as stupid as he wishes to appear or has he been forced into it?

    10. And all this has to be placed in the context of the fundamental flaws in the forestry man’s story I itemised above. Just to repeat this one simple point: if forestry man saw bike rider pulling into the layby and then continued meeting the BMWX5 coming up at speed at 3.20, where were SAH, SM and WBM at that point? They had to be already in the layby or not even entering the Combe at that point. If he drove down the Combe and didn’t meet anyone else coming up, they simply COULD NOT have had time to get there and be shot. Period.

Someone, somewhere is telling very BIG porkies.

  • katie

    Another snippet re,the helmet.

A biker I have just been speaking to says this:

“That sounds like a competition helmet, they do not really open on the side just for conversation , in fact they are there so a competing rider may hydrate and eat during short pit stops in competition.

If I were a French Cop I would start by sending detectives to all the competition bike clubs in Europe. Scooter riders also use them a lot”.

    Just a thought.

  • katie

Has anyone realised how this guy found the location ?

Because of the built in communications these helmets have, the guy surely would have a built in GPS for directions to such a remote place as of course would the BMW.

  • Ricki Tarr

I think there would be a spotter or tail on the Al Hilli family, the motorbike helmet could have had a communications pack inside or simply been a phone hands free kit! The only other explanation would be that they knew where Saad was going and that was the reason the bike and X5 where on the road, the bike being at the top of the hill would point towards the bike going up and down the road, keeping moving until the time of the meet.

The e-fit has raised more questions than answers, especially when the e-fit and description focuses on the helmet but really gives very little detail of the helmet in the picture, you cant see a chin guard unclipped or a flip up on it?, weight, height, nationality, accent/language, hair colour, skin colour?

The other angle is are the killers trying to throw us off as they would if they where a security agency, use a popular gun that is readily available in the area, use a french/italian helmet etc etc.

Also if he was wearing glasses that may mean this is a helmet with no visor and just a chin peice that swung open??? did this guy not go past one camera in the area in or out? that only means that he was contained in teh area and may be local! just get more confusing.

The Robert Baer book I just read explains the theory of things looking and feeling much different when you are in the area with HUMINT – human intelligence, we can read all we want from the net or the media but it can be a totally differnt picture on the ground, people talk locally, rumours, heresay etc etc………

  • bluebird

    efit
He looks like James Mathews (fat bastard).
In no way i am saying that this is him. However, it’s getting close.

  • katie

    Morning BB.

I’m wondering how the efit can show his eyes if the chap was wearing glasses ?

  • katie

    BB.

I don’t think we can be in any doubt now about EM deliberately misguiding the media/public.
I feel he’s been told to say nothing & maybe this is his clumsy attempt to cover up ?

It’s as though he’s trying to give covert signals to us saying it’s not my fault…… because I really cannot believe he thinks the public are this stupid.

Whoever is behind the cover up is making him, Maillaud look stupid so naturally the man is not happy bunny…

Also Zaid looks to be saying just that.
