Not Forgetting the al-Hillis 22278

The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.

Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:

the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?

The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.

Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:

Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.

There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.

But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.

The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?

I rely on Dan Brown novels and the Daily Mail rather than the Annals of Physics for my scientific knowledge.

Ahhhh that explains it! You come up with wonderful stuff, but sometimes it doesn’t all hang together – if you know what I mean?

How does one create an antimatter bottle, anyways?

    With electro-magnetism I believe.

  • Q

If someone did find a way to contain a small amount of antihydrogen for a while, and wanted to use it malevolently, what would they choose as a target? A source of abundant hydrogen?

Could TGFs be directed in a similar fashion?

“Iran’s first nuclear fuel rod and what it means”

“It appears from the announcement that what Iran has produced and
tested at the hot cells at the TRR is something different: a fuel rod,
which typically consists of cylindrical pellets clad in a zirconium
    tube.”

“However, manufacturing processes for rods and plates are very different, each with its own challenges, and making a plate using homogeneous 20 % enriched uranium will not be straightforward. Iran has yet to demonstrate it can do this.

If everything proceeds as planned, the first real fuel assemblies can be introduced to the reactor some time next year.”

Looks like there’s been a few hicups on the way to producing the rods, did they need a helping hand from SM?

    Where there’s a will there’s a coefficient… ahem…

Actually, with regard to the Saad vs Zaid dispute the dentist friend is reported to have said that there was a considerable estate – property in UK, France and Spain and an account in Switzerland – but that Zaid had dismissed the lawyer acting for them (doesn’t say in which jurisdiction) much to Saad’s annoyance. Later ‘someone close to the investigation’ was reported as saying that there was an estate of £4m. That would not include the Claygate house if it true that it had been left to Saad previously by his mother.

  • dave brooker

“property in UK, France and Spain”

Perhaps the house in France that Saad was doing up actually belonged to his father?

  • anders7777

With respect, Anders7777, you’ve still not really explained why you twice posted a link (re. Israel’s assassination of Iranian scientists) to the website of an organisation – or perhaps really, it’s just one person – that calls itself, ‘The British Defence League’ and which clearly is White Supremacist in nature and which seems rather similar to the English Defence League, but with Japanese flowers and lots of pink. If it was just an oversight on your part – we all make oversights and mistakes – might be best just to say so. I don’t want to derail the thread with his. Just asking for clarification. Thanks.

I explained before to you. Please scroll back.

I was in a hurry and google threw up the EDL COPY of the Richard Sale ARTICLE.

It said it was copied from truthout.org

I THEN posted the truthout link. Which was IDENTICAL.

    Hope this clarifies Suhayl!

And no, I don’t spend my time at the EDL site!

“but that Zaid had dismissed the lawyer ”

I missed that CD, I recall Saad had some lawyer place a ‘caveat’ on the will/process.

  • Katie

The dispute between Zaid & Saad, dates further back whilst the father was still alive.

I suspect it’s what triggered the removal of Zaid from company secretary where he was replaced by Iqbal & he moved out of the house around that time.

  • CD

And, since he was latterly mostly resident in Spain might the will have been arranged there?

  • Katie

Does anyone know why Zaid was secretary , was he once a partner, was it a family business, was it AMS ?

Felix, assuming the will was filed in the UK and, in dispute, is still in probate, then it wouldn;t be publically available.

Only once probate is over is a will made public. If there was any sort of trust too then the trust will never be made public.

  • BadenBrit

    @Felix & others
As I understand it Kadhim al-Hilli’s will (if there was one) would have to be executed and probated in Spain as that is where he lived and died. This would exclude any deed of gift or similar made by his spouse allegedly 10 years earlier. Looking for registration or deposition in UK in UK is leading up the garden path.

  • dopey

We don;t even know if the father ever got British citizenship…or Zaid.

It would be interesting to know why the father came back to the UK for a while a few months or so before his death. Also, whether it was anything to do with the dispute between the two brothers since the father returned soon after Zaid moved out and was removed/removed himself as company secretary.

It may well just be a name on a piece of paper because the Co. Sec. has to be named – doesn’t mean he had any active part in the company or worked for it.

    Here’s a funny thing.
Why did BM choose 55 Rutland Gate for his company?
His accountants were based there – GC or Gabriel Consultants.

    Very sketchy website.
Phone no shared with Polish Hearth.

    Various
    Gabriel Consultants

    June 1998 – September 2003 (5 years 4 months) London

Providing M&A and investent support to a Bahrain Family Office investing in UK financial services and property

    Owner Gabriel Constantine Thailand.
    dead website link. (org)

  • Katie

    Thanks Dave.

I can see the name of the company & dates of the change over but little else. Anyone what date the father died ?

  • dopey

Just sometime in August 2011 Katie. So he returned to the UK in or after March 2011 (or just after Zaid moved out), for how long we don’t know, and died in the August.

Silver Fern Sussex Ltd is registered at 55 Princes Gate which also had me wondering.
GC Secretarial Ltd who are also a director of Silver Fern are also based at the same address. I would guess that GC Secretarial sells off-the-shelf companies and stays on as company secretary. They would then provide accountancy services through Gabriel Consultancy also based at the same address. There seems to have been any number of small failed companies that have passed through 55 Princes Gate and GC Secretarial.
GC Secretarial is owned by a Jeremy Cannell, I have not yet found much on him.

  • Katie

So he wasn’t around when Zaid left the company Dopey, as you say it looks like he may have returned because of that dispute.

  • Ferret

Gabriel Consultants Ltd is also registered at 55 Princes Gate.

One Director, Jeremy Cannell, who gives his address as 55 Princes Gate. (Must sleep at the office!)

Two shareholders, Jeremy Cannell, and Ernest John Hampson, Wentworth Church Road, Bookham, Surrey, UK, KT23 3JT.

I believe this company never traded and was used solely as a Company Secretary for their clients companies.

I suspect that the current “Gabriel Consultants” trading at 55 Princes Gate is a partnership – I’m told by my accountant friends that this is quite common.

If it’s a partnership it wouldn’t show up on Companies House.

BTW, I think the Gabriel Consultants from Thailand is a completely separate enterprise.

  • Ferret

    @Q

I do like your line of speculation!

If someone did find a way to contain a small amount of antihydrogen for a while, and wanted to use it malevolently, what would they choose as a target? A source of abundant hydrogen?

Well, anything made of (normal) matter would do as a target. As soon as the antimatter hit it, kerboom…

The problem is at the moment that the “bottle” is the size of, well, CERN, I think! And it’s plugged in to the mains. And CERN say it’d take a billion years to to make a gram of antimatter… So apart from that…

    🙂

Quite firmly in the realm of science fiction right now.

Could TGFs be directed in a similar fashion?

    Sorry, no idea…

  • Katie

Yes Aisha a moroccan woman. I tried to find out more about the ‘friend’ Alla Hussein Mohamed , I found four of them, but not any living in Spain.

    At 55 Princes Gate… we have a connection now…

Brett Martin’s accountants are Gabriel Consultants at 55 Princes Gate.

Jeremy Cannell is 50% owner of Gabriel Consultants Ltd at this address.

Jeremy Cannell also owned 99% of International Security Ltd. (The ex-Special Forces security services co I just posted about)
    http://www.internationalsecurity.co.uk/

But International Security Ltd was wound up in Feb 2012. So how come it’s still trading?

Well, “International Security & Protection Ltd” was formed in Oct 2010. No accounts have been filed, and there is a proposal to strike it off.

This is the company that the website says it’s for, but the name on the “contact us” page says International Security Ltd, and the company number quoted is 05162628 which the one for International Security Ltd.

I think we have a connection.
