The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
@James
3 Oct, 2012 – 10:03 pm
James I was referring to the factuality of the various statements published by supposedly different authors on Indymedia that were subsequently redacted – some on this site refer to them as truths and use their disappearance and the fake ‘D-Notice’ as evidence that dark forces are at work.
Although the statements were removed from Indymedia all but the first are still available on this website because @Cryptonym saved them in the first thread at 2.01am 7/9/2012. They are all laughable and easily disprovable.
You can still read the first statement on Indymedia although it is shaded out, it says:
06.09.2012 12:47 The failure of the British government to protect Saad al Hilli and his family was thrown into stark focus this week when they were gunned down by agents of the Israeli security services while on holiday in Chevaline near Lake Annecy in South West France. al Hilli’s work with the Iraqi nuclear program was under duress as a result of Saddam’s Husseins threats against his family, there is no evidence he did it willingly.
Once he fled to the UK he had a right to expect protection from Israel and yet his trip was without any from UK or French police despite his repeated requests for some. He knew he had been targeted for assassination by Israel to prevent his knowledge reaching Iran and yet there was no evidence that he had continued his work or that he was working with Iran, his trip to Tehran was for religious reasons to visit the city of Qom.
The leading political statement immediately discredits this one. When was al Hilli working on the Iraqi nuclear programme? At the age of 9 or 10 in the 1970’s before his family fled Iraq? Given the extremely limited amount of information available about Al Hilli at the time it’s amazing how much “Spook Watcher”, the poster, knows about him. So the statement is a fake which makes the visit to Qom a fake.
Second statement says:
06.09.2012 13:36 He was set up by Mi6 in 2007 in a front company called AMS1087 which did aircraft based photography. They were based at the Delta office park in Wiltshire which is built on part of the old ‘Turnstile’ nuclear Command and Control bunker and is still owned by the MoD.
You don’t need to read further than the second sentence. ‘Turnstile’ Command and Control was in Corsham, Wiltshire nearly 40 miles away from the Delta Office business Park in Swindon. Must have been a pretty big bunker. So we’ll ignore the rest of the imaginings of this particular loon.
Third statement says:
06.09.2012 13:48 What an amazing coincidence that the first person on the scene was a member of the RAF Regiment (the Air Force army branch) who just had to be passing on his bike !!!
Yes the cyclist was a former member of the RAF, this was already in the public domain, but at that point no-one knew his name so how could they place him as a member of the RAF Regiment. Has anyone subsequently associated WBM with the RAF Regiment?
The fourth statement is the most laughable of the lot. It says:
06.09.2012 14:05 In an unprecedented action the British Embassy in Paris has sent a twenty person team to the crime scene headed by Kara Owen the deputy British ambassador. According to local TV station ‘Demain’ people describe the British Embassy staff as being “military type”. There is developing a cover up of massive proportions to protect Israel.
There is a TV station in France called Demain. It is a local tv station too, only not in the Rhone Alpes region where the murders took place – it is based in the Ile De France region. It is an informational cable channel for job seekers and people interested in starting their own businesses. It does no live news reportage. Now why would they suddenly have popped up in the south of France interviewing the locals on a hard news story?
Fifth Statement:
06.09.2012 14:27 The local police (before they were shut up) said that the family had multiple passports including British, Iraqi, Swedish and UAE. It seems they were travelling cross country perhaps back to Iraq where they would feel safe.
Why would Saad feel safe in Iraq? He left the country as an exile and it has been said he feared for the safety of his extended family in Iraq.
And then the fake “D-Notice”.
The timings are interesting. Looks like someone or group of people spent an extended lunch hour in the intent café typing a load of bilge about their fantasies of a Mossad led hit and when they found their posts being removed from Indymedia site wrote the the fake “D-Notice” as proof that they were heading down the right road. You will also find that a small group of people have been largely responsible for spreading these rumours around internet forums…. and there you have the start of a conspiracy theory.
Apologies for the long post.

You will see from the post of mine you are referencing that I posted a link to a legal blog which debunks the idea that injunctions from English courts apply to the rest of the world. When it comes to the law I defer to the opinion of lawyers rather than journalists – lawyers tend to have at least some understanding of the law, journalists have a tendency to embellish in order to create a juicy narrative.
You’ve already been given the example of the Ryan Giggs injunction been broken in Scotland. There is also the example of ETK vs News Group Newspapers.
“ETK v News Group Newspapers Ltd is an anonymised privacy injunction that was reported in April 2011. ETK, a married man in the British entertainment industry, had an affair with X, a colleague. Some issues arising from the affair led to X losing her job.ETK won an injunction to prevent News Group Newspapers Ltd from disclosing his identity, to protect his children. The woman, X, also agreed to the injunction being sought.
On 5 June 2011, Irish tabloid newspaper the Sunday World published a story on its front page naming David Threlfall and Pauline McLynn as involved in the injunction. Other Irish media sources have published the names of the people involved in the injunction.” – from wikipedia
Also, in the 1980’s the British Government unsuccessfully tried to block the publication of Peter Wright’s Spycatcher in Australia and Scotland through the use of an injunction.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/october/13/newsid_2532000/2532583.stm
So you can see that just because a British Court decrees something applies to the whole world, this is not actually the case.
“You will also find that a small group of people have been largely responsible for spreading these rumours around internet forums…. and there you have the start of a conspiracy theory.”

There’s a certain ex England footballer and “family man” who got a super injunction years ago to stop being named after shenanigans with a former beauty queen who later topped herself.
His name has safely stayed a secret where the publication in the press is concerned anyway. Where he’s concerned it makes me sick, when he’s gone on to greater heights trading on his “family man” image when he’s an absolute shit.
National security issues and D notices/injunctions are one thing. Philandering webcaming football players something else again.
I have posted before a link that indicates that al-Hilli was working with laser at the Swedish company Elekta ( at the branch in UK ). He was descibed as a “genius”, the person that the development of laser was depending on.
Even the company Elekta are into medical laser, the technology of laser is pretty much the same when used for other purposes, such as for military purpose, as far I know.
Here is another post from the same person that described al_Hilli as a “genious”, it was also the same poster that told us that Suhaila was working in Palestina/Israel in the nineties as a head nurse.
“Saad al-Hilli has received a RIP page on FB, which claims a Cat Louise Piggott following:
“Saad was a colleague at Elekta, a really jolly man, easy-going, everybody liked him. He made friends easily. A tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go to his daughters and family. I hope the children get all the support they need and then some. So sad and shocked.”
Elekta is a Swedish company that manufactures laser for cancer treatment.”

Thanks Thomas. Could you post any more comments from that page? I’m not on Facebook.

@ Dopey
Yeah and there are plenty other examples too like the suppression of the facts surrounding the killer, Thomas Hamilton, in the Dunblane massacre and the evidence of paedophilia in high places including at least one government minister, that Blair quickly suppressed.
Nobody whacked
That is the nub of the matter. Why would a nation state whack four people in such a spectacular manner while they were on friendly territory? They wouldn’t.
Thus, if a nation state was behind this, it was one that would not consider France friendly territory. That rules out France herself, the UK, and most likely Israel, too.

Whether the British super injunctions are valid or not, the Swedish newspaper Expressen decided not to write about a certain issue after they have been contacted by a British law firm. The result was that Expressen kept silent, according to the editor in chief.

He is the sole and only shareholder.

He is also 50% shareholder in Gabriel Consultants Ltd, the accountant for Brett Martin’s company Silver Fern (Sussex) Ltd.
Mr Cannell doesn’t seem to do “off the shelf” companies like Mr AMS 1234… so why is Brett Martin using him for his company accountant, when he (Martin) lives in Sussex and he (Cannell) lives in London?

Ferret, not saying you’re wrong but very often accountants and solicitors act as nominees and the shareholdings may in any case only have a nominal face value (£1 = 100 shares etc).
In the news piece mentioning that SAH removed a picture of his daughter and replaced it with a muslim cleric (or something of the sort), does anyone know specifically who the new picture was of? And maybe what web discussion groups he was on? I appologize if this has been discussed already.
