The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
I am with you NR. It would be mind boggling if all the sophisticated spy/radar/satellite equipment deployed by the major powers (US, China, Russia) could not find and identify one stray little airplane. If that were the case, then it betrays a spectacular vulnerability of several countries’ defenses. That, I think may have been the case for at least malaysia – if even their military radar failed to detect an unidentified aircraft rolling right over their peninsula, that indeed shows they are highly vulnerable. That I think is one reason why they were so cagey about their own military data, and in fact, retracted information from their own military general. It’s either that or the opposite – the craft WAS detected and was shot down, having failed to identify itself. Though this last one is not so likely.
The greater likelihood is that those who needed to know were informed of what’s going down – be it a hijack or a ‘special” rendering. That could include malaysia, but perhaps not Vietnam or Indonesia (one never needs to inform indonesia of anything. They can be relied on as empire vassals). If some agency but not others in malaysia were informed, that might explain the chaotic nature of the handling of this strange disappearance incident.
The big unknown is China. What role they played and/or what did they know is far from clear. Again, I agree with you NR that such ‘accidental” release of satellite photo by one of the most secretive countries on the planet is just bizarre. I can’t make heads or tails of it, at least so far. And I am not ready to go with Bluebird’s failed gold transportation theory because i can’t imagine why anyone would go from Ukraine to malaysia.
my one, and so far, only connection to Chevaline – it’s the cover-up, stupid!
IOW, when we don’t know what happened and are beginning to suspect that there are agencies intent on not letting it all be known, we can still surmise a lot about what DID NOT happen.
Not enough time has passed yet for me to make any solid guesses based on my “backward engineering” algorithm (unlike Chevaline, where some pretty solid guesses can be made). However, even at this early stage, the outlines of some kind of a cover-up are emerging. And just like Chevaline, the pre-prepared cover-up story is not coming together, because different agencies/entities are not all in an agreement, so there may be evidence of different sides undermining each other. may be because, like Chevaline, things did not go quite according to plan, and something happened that wasn’t supposed to.
The longer time passes with still no evidence of wreckage, the more the cover-up theory will gain traction. Even with some wreckahge eventually found, sthere are many things about the disappearance of MAH370 that just don’t add up.
PS Actually, i am just desperately trying to go back to the subject of this thread – Chevaline and “Not Forgetting the Al Hillis”. Personally, given my own tendency to dig into things, I find it difficult to handle too many conspiracies at once. Well, I do expect the french to make another “move” soon, and then there’ll be new angles to talk about (I do realize many people feel they’ve said all they had several times over….that includes myself, alas).
FoxNews political commentators, not hard-news, advise viewers they should be reassured now that US agencies are deeply involved, if not officially in charge, we will quickly learn the truth.
The confusion to date is caused by incompetent Malaysians, and they emphasized the importance of providing Malaysia with face-saving cover.
With all the fiction and cover-ups revealed in multiple events in recent years why would anyone believe the US or any other government to tell the truth?
Is it any more ridiculous for us to be asked to believe that Boeing did not have real-time satellite tracking on its how-many-million-dollar aircraft, than to ask us to believe that the tracking in how many smart phones that were on board that plane all stopped being trackable, even though we know they can be tracked when they are shut off. Why were all those phones ringing when relatives called them? Let me guess: not only did the airplane not have any real-time satellite tracking — oops, maybe it did, after all — but all the smart phones were wrapped in aluminum foil, thereby preventing them from being tracked, too, or maybe everyone threw the batteries away before boarding the plane.
What happened in the Hunt for Red October?
“The film caused a minor sensation in the black projects‒submarine warfare technology community.[7][8] In one scene, where the USS Dallas is chasing the Red October through the submarine canyon, the crew can be heard calling out that they have various “milligal anomalies”. This essentially revealed the use of gravimetry as a method of silent navigation in US submarines. Thought to be a billion dollar black project, the development of a full-tensor gravity gradiometer by Bell Aerospace was a classified technology at the time. It was thought to be deployed on only a few Ohio-class submarine after it was first developed in 1973. Bell Aerospace later sold the technology to Bell Geospace for oil exploration purposes.[9] The last Typhoon-class submarine was officially laid down in 1986, under the name TK-210, but according to sources was never finished and scrapped in 1990.”
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunt_for_Red_October_%28film%29
And:
“The ultimate fate of the Red October is explained in the Clancy novel The Cardinal of the Kremlin, where it is revealed that the vessel was reverse engineered and stripped of all technology. The Red October was then sunk in a deep ocean trench off Puerto Rico to avoid discovery.”
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunt_for_Red_October
For more skullduggery:
“Meanwhile, with help from Dallas, Red October makes evasive maneuvers, causing Konovalov to be destroyed by one of its own torpedoes. The evacuated crew of Red October, about to be taken on board a U.S. Navy rescue ship, witness this explosion and, not knowing that there is a second Soviet sub, assume it was Red October that was sunk.”

Marlin, I have outlined some of what I believe are Saad al-Hilli’s connections to the technologies involved in the Malaysia incident, along with Sylvain Mollier’s. Remember how we are not supposed to believe that this could have been something involving industrial espionage/sabotage or matters of national/international security? No, Chevaline was a lone gunman, randomly popping off a family on a picnic in the Alps. And the Malaysia incident is a not-incompetent pilot (maybe with debts and personal issues) who invited babes onto his flight deck.
Passenger list
OLEG Chustrak, Russian Ukrainian from Odessa.
Speaks russian omline. No ukrainian. He has a mail.ru email address.
Pipl.com says about his profession:- – ОНПУ (бывш. ОГПУ, ОПИ), Militar
Translation:
Studied here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odess…nic_University
Works for ” formerly OGPU” ( = russian secret service) and military job.
I have no clue why he writes OGPU but not FSB or SBU. Maybe he has a reason because the ukrainians historically really HATE OGPU although Stalin’s OGPU later became KGB and FSB nowadays. OGPU didnt exist after 1945. It had become KGB by then.
Maybe there is an internal restriction for writing SBU or FSB into the pipl directory.
With other words: There was an ukrainian secret service agent on that plane MH370 who either worked for Russian FSB or for ukrainian SBU.
NR
In my theory every piece of the puzzle fits.
MH370 too k from Kuala Lumpur 0:21 am
About an hour later several witnesses in the south chinese sea confirm that they saw an airplane flying very low above sea level, then disappearing
I believe that the witnesses tell the truth.
MH370 descends towards sea level, opens the cargo door and somebody ejects the boxes with the gold into the sea where their partners collect the boxes on a ship. Then tgey ascend to flight level again and disappear.
Although the flight was known to be on the other side of malaysia by then, several nations start a search and rescue OP on the WRONG side and they knew that!!! What did they search there? Gold?
I dont know about where the now useless plane finally arrived or if it has crashed. That doesnt matter for finding the truth, though.
Another passenger
Nikolai Brodskii, Chabad Jew from Irkutsk/Russia was on board, too. He is Russian and Israeli citizen.
Some sources speculate that he is a mossad agent.
What is particularly interesting is that due to media outlet reports he is an athlete and an experienced scuba diver. He might even be a military elite scuba diver.
http://www.timesofisrael.com/chabad-reaches-out-to-family-of-missing-malaysia-passenger/
Would it be of some advantage being an experienced scuba diver when landing on water or when ejecting gold into the sea?
@Katie 4:58 pm: It’s a good thing that 17 nations participated in an international navak drill in the Andaman Islands only weeks ago:
https://marginalmatters.wordpress.com/2014/02/01/international-naval-drill-at-port-blair/
Or, if this were a conspiracy website, the connection between military exercises and incidents would be duly noted in the post 911 era.
Sorry, that’s “naval” drill.
Hey, Bluebird, it’s a good thing that many navies from many nations have taken part in exercises in the area only a few weeks ago. They’ll be familiar with the ocean around there, and finding missing items in it.
BTW, it isn’t just ships and airplanes that are tracked by satellites. Even cargo containers have GPS and satellite transmitters.
http://www.reltronicstech.com/Cargo_Shipment_Tracking.html
@Bluebird: Another possibility is the gold was cargo, but has nothing to do with whatever befell the aircraft. That would set countries with an interest in the gold to accuse their enemies of stealing it, and justify fakery causing the other to search in the wrong location.
We have the Ukraine, now run by brave freedom-fighting oligarchs or neo-nazi oligarchs, believe whatever propaganda suits one’s taste. Russia run by Stalinist mobster oligarchs. The US under control of the Chicago mob ostensibly with leftist leanings. And Chinese leaders a collection of corrupt crony-communists.
“Britain/Israel relations never better”. Do we find that reassuring or not?

Q, I will poke around some of the industrial/merger links you provided. See whether something happens to jump out.
Bluebird, do you happen to have a link for the full passenger list? I am curious about the Americans listed. We know one of them – an IBM employee relocating from beijing to Kuala Lampur. Can’t seem to find who the other two were, though admittedly I didn’t try very hard.
Bluebird, never mind, I found the passenger list. Interesting what you found out about the ukrainian and the israeli/Russian (actually, I don’t think he was israeli)..
This is just the news that I’m sure everyone is reading:
http://news.yahoo.com/malaysian-official-says-missing-plane-hijacked-051507084.html
Still, there are some things that are extremely puzzling. Like what would happen when a place climbs to 45,000 feet. And where was the plane heading apparently quite purposefully in the Indian ocean. Yes Blair’s port is a possibility and perhaps even Diego garcia – IF the plane was able to somehow take on enough fuel for extra 3 hour flight. Since whoever piloted the plane was navigation knowledgeable, they would likely know how far they could get on how much fuel, so somehow i doubt they’d just run out of fuel and crash into the ocean. If that was the intent, could have been done sooner, no?
Also, this scenario narrows down the possibilities considerably – investigators now know they should be looking for a pretty experienced pilot with some familiarity of the routes in that part of the world.Plus lots of familiarity with the 777 systems or they wouldn’t have been able to turn off the transponder and other communication messaging system as ably as they did.
Obvious culprit is the pilot. I read a comment in the Guradian that pointed to him having built his own simulator at home. Why do his own unless he wanted to fly outside normal operating parameters? the same commenter suggested he could have somehow moved the co-pilot out of the way (say with some excuse to get him to leave the cokpit), then de-pressurized the entire cabin whilst puting on his own oxygen mask, then climb higher to basically kill the passengers or seriously incapacitate them, then turn west and fly – where? why? commenter didn’t say, and I have no clue.
The only alternative I see is for a passenger or two with major flight experience to gain entry into the cockpit – and I’m sure that’s what investigators are looking at.
Anyways, as always I stay away from a motive (unknowable at this point) but would love to see more conjectures on the how it was done.
A Russian conspiracy theory, straight out of the Kremlin, involving mysterious cargo, and dead Navy Seals. “[China] was preparing to divert Flight 370 from its scheduled destination of Beijing to Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK) located in Hainan Province (aka Hainan Island).”
But before they could the US took control via fly-by-wire and hijacked it to Diego Garcia.

Thanks NR
This is hot.
It confirms my Cargo investigation and it also says that the russians already had that cargo under secret service surveillance. That report confirms my find regarding the FSB/SBU secret service agent on board of MH370.
Plus two dead Navy Seals! That is goibg to become a james bond movie!
More on MH370.
‘ Meanwhile, precious time is still being lost due to a lack of a lead investigating agency with legal clout in the early days, according to some aviation industry observers. Others speculate means and motives as military investigators keep everyone in the dark.
Motive, Means, Iranian Connection
One motive to capture a craft is its highly valued cargo or passengers. MH370 possibly carries both.
The Obama administration and U.S. spymasters have accused China’s government of using computer hackers to steal American businesses’ secrets to benefit China’s private sector.
The world is angry at the U.S. for its NSA spying. One means an aircraft can seemingly vanish is with hi-tech military electronic weaponry (EW) designed specifically to “disappear” crafts. U.S. and Chinese military boast of having this capacity. The US has used it elsewhere. [Malaysia Plane Hidden With Electronic Weapon? 20 Hi-Tech EW Defense Passengers]
In 2005, an FBI investigation codenamed Titan Rain revealed Chinese hackers in Guangdong stole from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and stole flight-planning software from the Air Force. The hackers accessed systems at defense contractors, such as Lockheed Martin, and the World Bank. China’s hacking drove Google out of China. WikiLeaks quoted a U.S. Embassy official saying contacts told the U.S. that the Chinese government was behind internet hacking attacks on not only Google, but also Western governments.
Five major technological communications military contractor companies have high-tech employees and executives on the MH370 passenger manifest, two American and three Asia Pacific – each strongly tied to military:
China Telecom, Business Machines Corp., Austin-based Freescale, International Business Machines (IBM), ZTE Corp., and Huawei Technologies Co. Combined, they have 26 high-tech experts on the passenger manifest list, including two executives.
One of these companies refused to identify its employees onboard, and investigators also withheld those identities.’

THE LAST “ping” to the stationary satellite over the Indian Ocean was a full SEVEN HOURS after it so-say “disappeared”. So not crashed after all and heading somewhere. So with all the satellites, military and civil radar no one has a trace of a large aircraft in transit? Even if its new course was unknown, the point at which it disappeared is known precisely. At some point it would have to be detected by radar. Can it be so difficult to calculate distance and speed in all directions, plotted against radar coverage, not to mention spy ware.
NR
14 Mar, 2014 – 9:34 pm quite agree. My little angle on our ability to trust any government these days is here: http://inquiringminds.cc/events-my-dear-boy-events-tim-veater
Now Malaysian officials claim that MH370 could have flown to Kazakhstan. I defer to Craig Murray. What would happen if this new scenario really did take place?
@NR: I am skeptical of the source, EU Times, but somehow they’ve dragged Captain Phillips into things (no doubt boosting interest in the Somali pirate movie bearing his name).
Commonalities with Katie’s link:
http://www.novatel.com/technology-in-action/automated-flight-control/outcome/
I believe both are the same source.
Fly by wire is a rather antiquated term for fully automated direct engine control (FADEC), or automated flight control. Note the concern from pilots about the Boeing 777:
http://www.news.com.au/travel/pilots-raise-concerns-over-boeing-777-speed-control-safety/story-e6frfq7r-1226735196501
Anyways, if pirates were involved in MH370, they could have been on the ground somewhere halfway around the world, controlling the plane remotely, like a UAV. The pilot is being blamed, but does the autothrottle turn itself off an on, or does a person on the ground do it, or perhaps someone on electronic warfare patrol on an aircraft in the area? Shades of September 11, 2001.

And now, a search of one pilot’s home, many days later. What will they find at this point? A stun gun? Better not say it, or it will appear. A new “Stan” takes centre stage. Read all about it.
I was under the impression that when any plane goes down, protocol requires a search of the pilot’s home immediately, before the media is informed of said plane going missing. But what do I know?
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/crew-passengers-focus-missing-malaysia-airlines-investigation-article-1.1722599
Tim V, that was a good summary in that article you wrote. What do you think of that web site, Inquiring Minds? is it mostly British?
I liked the previous one too on Lockerbie. Looks like a good place to put lengthy analysis of the speculative kind.
Funny BTW how the circle of where the plane could have gone on the fuel it has now encompasses the island of Diego Garcia at its edge. As first pointed out in that cabal Times article (I guess that’s another major “conspiracy” site). I dare not even look at what they might be speculating about over at David icke.
My main worry now is, that given how this latest MH370 mystery is garnering all the attention, poor old Chevaline will go forgotten (see also comment above). looks like the deadzone people have also been caught up in this disappearing airplane saga.
