The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
I just had a look at crime solving and the previous 24 hrs are important in solving homicides ,we know a lot of what SAH was doing
do we know anything at all about what SM was doing in the previous 24 hrs ?
The money thing again…..
SAH and ZAH both work.
But the father is the person that seems to have financed everything.
Asset wise there was Claygate, Chessington, Mijas…and the 690K in Geneva.
They were all financed from by KAH
It is said (by the estate agent in Mijas) that KAH didn’t speak much English.
He certainly did well….for a man that spoke poor English.
SAH calls the bank in Geneva on Monday.
I assume to make an appointment.
Or let them know he was coming to see them….on a certain day.
On Wednesday he was murdered.
How does the bank know SAH is SAH ?
His passport ? But where is that now ? It wasn’t in the car.
And what was SAH going to do at the bank ?
They wouldn’t release any money to him. Each brother had already contacted the bank denying each the ability to make a withdrawal.
@Pink: Free energy and Keshe?
http://www.greenoptimistic.com/2014/04/17/saltwater-graphene-generator-discovered/#.U68MOrEUqSo
“Recently, researchers discovered that a single droplet of salt water running across graphene generated an electric charge, just a single droplet, which may be why this has taken so long to discover. Sitting still, the charge around the droplet is equal, but if the droplet moves, electrons are absorbed and desorbed by the graphene, generating an electric charge. At best, the voltage reaches maximum potential of 30 mV, pretty small compared to, say, 1,500 mV of the typical “AA”-size battery. It’s a small charge, but the Chinese scientists are confident it can be scaled up dramatically.
“Interestingly, flowing saltwater won’t generate a charge on graphene, as the phenomenon seems to depend on the difference in charge between the leading and trailing edges of the saltwater droplet. Large-scale saltwater graphene generators may be a long way off, but these results are encouraging, making use of the most-abundant substance on the planet to generate carbon-free electricity could be a huge leap forward in addressing climate change. Considering the need for freshwater in many coastal areas, I wonder if at least a saltwater graphene self-powered graphene desalination plant would be feasible.”
And yes, defence giant Lockheed Martin has discovered that water can be desalinated using graphene. Free energy and desalination in one?

The last article, from March 3, 2014, claims that Lockheed Martin has gone silent on this desalination technology. Mechanical engineering is mentioned.
Say, wasn’t Saad al-Hilli a mechanical engineer?

“This field has the side effect that it will also block all forms of wave based communication.”
A controversial statement from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehran_Tavakoli_Keshe
As I recall, the deceased neutron beam scientist Lachlan Cranswick disappeared in the middle of the night from his home near a nuclear facility in Ontario, Canada in January 2010. The detail-oriented, safety-conscious Cranswick’s home contained his identification and mobile phone. The lights were on. Cranswick had no qualms about working with scientists from around the world, regardless of their country of origin. His strange vanishing and the discovery of his remains six months later in two feet of water were explained as a case of wandering into the cold of a northern midnight for a walk alone, and fallen into a (frozen) river.
FWIW, Cranswick’s forefathers were involved in the early days of the diamond industry in Rhodesia, and knew Cecil Rhodes. One of Cranswick’s distant relatives was involved in a diamond company play in Zimbabwe in 2010.
Isn’t ACARS a wave-based form of communication?
A former gendarme involved in illegal arms trafficking. Why does that sound familiar?
“From the beginning, French investigators were puzzled – not by the professionalism of the attack but by its clumsiness. The gunman and his apparent accomplice wore no masks or hoods, just baseball caps. The gun used was not the weapon of choice of a hired assassin. Neither victim died instantly.”

That is graphene with an “n”.
@James
SAH called the bank . . .
The purpose of the visit was to arrange the deposit of monies.
The intention to deposit or invest was mentioned in a newspaper report (I think it was a Swiss paper) in the context of an interview with the Swiss prosecutor approx one year ago.
The money or other assets were those of his mother-in-law who apparently wished to put them in trust for her grand-daughters.
This was apparently stated in the most recent french documentary by Karl Zero.
Good In Part…
I didn’t see the Karl programme.
But if that is correct….that’s a bit of a biggy !
Both brothers were had “embargoed” from the funds in the deceased father account
But now SAH was making deposits into the same bank on behalf of his mother in law !
Was the money to be transferred ? Or were they carrying “cash” in the car ?
Helene Pastor was visiting her son Gildo Pastor in hospital, where he was recovering from a stroke. He is honorary consul to Malaysia and CEO of Venturi, an electric luxury car manufacturer based in France. He also has a business interest in battery management systems:

“He is also a member of the European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Cars (AVERE), Vice President of the Monegasque Association of Friends of the Electric Vehicle (AMAVE) and Vice President of the World Energy Council (Monaco).”

What if:
some of the “locals” had arranged to kidnap one or both of Saad’s children and hide them on a local camping site. The kidnapping is interrupted by Sylvain, who is immediately silenced, as then, are the Al Hillis.
Later T.V. programmes prompt Maillaud to issue the motorcycle efit.
A week later worried “locals” loose it with the campsite owners?
Michael kidnapping was considered at some point in the group’s history I don’t thing we ever found any evidence supporting it, they could have been holding Zainab to force the family to hand something over was another thought .
One curious thing is there was some mystery around maillaud’s brother being missing .
It seems he is found and writing a book I have no idea what its all about but I think it was some sort of deception if you can read french perhaps you can explain 🙂

It would be astonishing if none of these events were related.
Five people shot in Chevaline. One on push bike. Four, double tap, killed, as well as torso shots, girl shot and bashed with gun.
Bret, on push bike, perhaps first on scene.
Efit released.
Very rich, multiple campsite owner shot, dead, husband bashed with gun.
Bret just happens to be one of their close neighbours.
Neighbour of Sylvain’s previous wife, found shot dead in his flat, even though suicide was suspected, 27 days later, he has still not been named?

More on the five men, ranging in age from 20 to 40, who were arrested in connection with the murder of Nicole Communal-Tournier. Robbery gone wrong is the explanation.

Like us, the author of the story at the first link finds the series of events remarkable.
A side note to the murder at Camping l’Ideal. Severine is now the manager of the facility. This marriage took place on September 22, 2012:

Jean-Claude Deronzier, mayor of Doussard, fell 120 metres to his death in 2009. He was said to have loved hunting. His two sons married the Camping d’Ideal sisters three years later, in 2012.
If a family feud does play a role in the Chevaline affair, the question is which family or families? We have seen from the Monaco assassination of Helene Pastor that sometimes the prime suspect is hiding in plain sight. Sometimes there is a question of families that are not related by blood or marriage, but by the way they earn their living. There is something very strange I’m the Haute-Savoie. Maybe it’s sethimg in the water. Best to stay on the beaten track, away from cliffs and where there are plenty of witnesses. The tourist industry usually takes a hit when there is too much of this kind of thing.
Bluebird, have you flown the coop? In past discussions of the Deronzier family, did you mention A. Deronzier in Grenoble who has patents and has been developing fuel cells for alternate fuels?
