The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
Peter….
I get ya ! Yes that would be unusual fro a law enforcement agency to have dealing with such types….
…. but he’s just sat on a motorbike ! Hog or not.
He “fancies” himself as a “one percenter”. He also does deals with Iraqi women.
To me he “seems” a run of the mill guy.
One that isn’t too great on the women front.
And is short of cash !
Benoit Vinnemann, one of the most senior police commanders working on the case, said Iqbal was “secretly married”, adding: “We have discovered some astonishing things.”
And what does that mean ???? “ASTONISHING THINGS” ?????
Now we wait !
ATTENTION!!!!!
I found the cousin
And i found the untouched facebook page of Jim Thompson including all his friends pre 9 5 2012.
The cousin is the al Shaikhly family from New Orleans.
there are hundreds of interesting fb pages of his friends.
here are just a few (i didnt have time to even look at many):
https://m.facebook.com/jim.thompson.3158
https://m.facebook.com/judy.weatherly.12
one example of the al shaikhly family

this is the most interesting site in my opinion from his friends list

enjoy!!!
There we are !!!!!!!!
al Shaikhly. 2005 iraq’s ambassador in london
al shaikhly. founder of the baath party in iraq
i am starting to wonder whether or not iqbal was a member of the al shaikhly family and they just gave us wrong names?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/personal-view/3614696/Still-they-wont-admit-they-got-Iraq-wrong.html
Last Sunday evening, as Iraq’s historic election was drawing to a close, I was invited to the BBC’s Television Centre at White City to discuss the day’s events. Sitting in the green room, I came across Dr Salah al-Shaikhly, Iraq’s ambassador to London and an old friend from his days in the exiled Iraqi opposition movement. Dr al-Shaikhly, who is a close ally of Ayad Allawi, Iraq’s interim prime minister, could not wait for his appearance to acclaim the success of the first truly independent elections that had taken place since Iraq’s creation by the British in the 1920s.
Everything makes sense now. the history of the al hillis, the al shaikhly family and iqbal.
no wonder there was a D notice.
we need screen shots of jim thompson’s fb page urgently !!!!!!!!
Al-Shaikhly had particular reason to celebrate the election’s successful conclusion. Abdul Karim al-Shaikhly, his cousin, who was one of the founder members of the Ba’ath in Iraq and the party’s first foreign minister, had been murdered by Saddam’s security forces after falling out with the Iraqi dictator in the 1970s. For all those who suffered under Saddam, the fact that the elections were taking place at all was sweet revenge for the 35 years of tyranny the deposed dictator had imposed on his country.
who is going to make screen shots of the fb pages?
urgent!!!!
vinnemann and his “astonishing finds” …. we found it, too!!
al Shaikhly, the london ambassador

I have saved the page BB.
What apart from a list of his friends do you need a screen shot for ?
That very al Sgaikhly family was best connected with Jim Thompson and even his old mother (she is on fb, too) and all members of the Weatherly family are befriended with the al Shaikhly family.
Does anybody still wonder about how he met Iqbal? I am quite sure that Iqbal was secretly “parked” as the wife of a CIA agent in Mississippi until danger for her was over.
katie
intro page and friends list would be perfect before it disappears.
do you remember how quickly all the mollier kids fb pages disappeared and were empty?
thanks.
you have probably spotted this but will post in case you haven’t http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/iraqi-hitman-held-over-alhilli-murders-9591626.html So there’s an “ex-dentist-husband” in America who just happens to die on the SAME DAY??????????? Sure just another coincidence or ciacidence? We need to know more about “James T” don’t we. Over to you BLUEBIRD.
i really must devote some time to reading back
tim v
i already posted everythong including the still untouched facebook page of james thompson from 2012.
he was no dentist. that was a wrong message. he was an ex policemen and an oil contractor. in my view he was a cia agent.
however, his family is relative with the al shaikhly family. and i said who the al shaikhly family is. this is awesome and exciting. now everything makes sense.
tim
take your time
this was a very exciting day today.
i just wonder about why the thompson/weatherly family kept their mouth closed and silent for such a long time.
i just dont get it.
peter allen, if you read that (i guess so) please ask joy about why the family didnt talk before. why now? they knew this for almost two years!! Had they been blackmailed? threatened to keep quiet?
@BB
Good !
Informations about the Iqbal’s secret have surely was provided by the Iraqi man in exchange for his release.
Here is the family connection of James (Jim) Thompson with the Iraqi al Shaikhly family:
The key person is his cousin Mary Weatherly.
Mary Weatherly was married to a famous member of the al Shaikhly family. They dont tell his name (kept secret) but on a photo of the facebook page of her daughter Coriane Elisabeth al Shaikhly there is a picture of her father when she was a little girl. Her father is a young Saddam Hussein lookalike.
It looks as if her father died (or else perhaps he was killed).
Family chain of Mary Weatherly:
husband: al Shaikhly, Iraq
mother: Judy Weatherly
brother: Truman Weatherly
half sibling: Barry d’Alessandro
Mary Weatherly’s children:
Karim al Shaikhly
Calem Anderson al Shaikhly
Cassey al Shaikhly
Coriane Elizabeth al Shaikhly
There is a girl sitting on a veranda on a photo published in the Daily Mail article from today, showing Jim Thompson.
That girl is Coriane Elizabeth al Shaikhly.
facebook page of mary weatherly:
https://m.facebook.com/mary.weatherly
check the facebook page of her daughter Coriane Elisabeth al Shaikhly and the photos there. You will find an oldpicture of her father al Shaikhly together with the little kids and her mother there. They keep the name of her father a secret. He looks like a diplomat or like an iraqi government member.
It makes so much more sense now. Certain passports had to go. Names/birth dates/places did not match. Get the passports, but leave the correct ones.
Attention!!!
open the facebook page of mary weatherly (see above)
open the photos
there is a family photo depicting Jim Thompson who hugs Coriane Elizabeth al Shaikhly on this photo. There is also his old mother Addie Tucker on that same family photo plus the rest of the Weatherly/al Shaikhly family.
request
could somebody please download and save the family photo on Coriane Elisabeth al Shaikly’s facebook site depicting herself as a little girl together with her iraqi father, mother and siblings. that is the only confirmed photo of her iraqi father. thanks. you’ll find that in the “photos” button.
Also we need the photo of Jim Thompson together with al Shaikhly family from Mary Weatherly’s facebook page “photos”.
thanks!
https://m.facebook.com/coriane.alshaikhly

Wow, just WOW!
Many thanks to all who have posted info upthread today.
The connections are numinous.
seriously good thinking Peter

this us likely debunked now:
“James T. probably was nothing but some gullible love-struck mope whom she first picked up and later ditched to suit her own purposes – as may have been the case later on with Saad.”
James T. is confirmed to be a family relative of the al Shaikhly family due to his family relation with Judy Weatherly (his aunt) who is the mother of Mary Weatherly (his cousin) who had married Mr. al Shaikhly from Iraq approx 25 years ago.
There are no doubts whatsover that the al Saffars / al Allafs knew the al Shaikhly family very well due to their high ranked diplomat links and due to their links into iraqi politics. All the rest is routine.
I seriously doubt the DM green card story now. i rather believe that Iqbal was hidden in the USA as his bride (likely with a false name) simply because she was threatened and somebody probably wanted to kill her.
On the other hand i remember the maxilofacial al allaf link in bahrein i was finding here nearly 2 years ago.
What if that perfect dentist wasnt just a dentist but a maxilofacial expert giving certain people new faces and working for several governments in that medical faculty??
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oral_and_maxillofacial_surgery
that could explain iqbal’s long education as a “dentist” and her long practice. usually this takes 14 years!

8 Jul, 2014 – 10:43 pm i’ve had a quick look back and as always credit to you and others. We are undoubtedly in interesting (!) and dangerous times almost epoch making I feel. There is instability and collapse all around particularly as it relates to American foreign policy which could go anyway with the political vacuum at the top. Apparently the President is virtually disengaged from the Executive and just looking (like Blair) “to be judged by history”. Meanwhile the 100 billion dollar intelligence industry (not to mention the industrial/military complex continues on its way with its geo-political goals that we see rolling out in middle and far east, a break-up of Iraq into three sectors being just one of them. Within this complicated and unstable mess we have the historic “special relationship” and particularly between CIA and MI6 which ultimately pulls the strings, or attempts to. This latest “jihadist” terrorist scare was a joint propaganda venture which even ex-chief Dearlove says was overplayed. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2684077/ISIS-threat-exaggerated-says-former-MI6-chief-Sir-Richard-Dearlove-thinks-pathetic-Britons-spreading-messages-internet-ignored.html Maybe it was just another decoy to take eyes off the increasingly embarrassing pedo scandal that threatens to drag MI6 into the mainstream and reveal documents (“Not on your nelly!”) What! And demonstrate how British PM’s, Home Defence and Foreign Secretaries were effectively blackmailed by indiscretions to tow the line? So we have the unprecedented event of 20 CIA (at least) coming over to sort out MI6 under the cover of the Jihadist threat? I’m not convinced. Much more likely they are working out how to handle the aftershocks of wholesale collapse in public trust in the political establishment as the fraud of 9/11 is realised combined with truly shocking sexual goings on, not to mention other events such as France/Germany being pissed off with them over fines and spying. Somewhere in this mix Chevaline fits. CIA has always been a suspect. Nothing we have learned about the Al Hillis or now his wife lessen that possibility at all. British and American Intelligence run through these events like a stick of rock.
Don’t forget all the contractors, Tim V., those princes of muddy waters.

Uncle Jimmy is the “secret ex=husband” they were not a secret here.
Cops hunting killer of British family in French Alps discover ‘secret ex-husband’ of murdered wife
Saad Al-Hilli, 50, his wife, Iqbal, 47, and her mother were shot dead along with a French cyclist close…’
Just to consider
If Iqbal was an oral and maxillofacial specialist, working for government agencies when and where she was needed, then she certainly was a VIP inside many secret service agencies but her life was likely always threatened.
There are only a few people who do know how the face of a person receiving a new face looks like. One of these people is the maxillofacial surgeon.
They want us make to believe that she was still studying as a DDS at the age of 50. That’s simply BS as Peter rightly remarked here above.
Now, what if e.g. there was one of the many double lookalikes hanged in Iraq while the real guy received a maxillofacial surgery by Iqbal, backed up by one of the important secret services? Perhaps she even knew all double lookalikes very well due to the surgery she gave them many years ago?
Iqbal would be one of the very few people knowing all new faces she had created. Would that knowledge make her life dangerous, in particular when her husband suddenly begins to rant versus america? Would the maxillofacial surgeon have a photo of the new face? You bet she would.
A maxillofacial surgery doesnt take an afternoon only. This is a job for one or two years. There could have been another job for her while she was covertly “married” in the USA. There could have been another job for her while she stayed in the UAE.
So then, what would happen if Saad would like to sell/publish a photo of one of the new faces she possibly had created?
Sonething else:
There was no chance that Jim Thompson heard of her death within 7 hours from the media because the names of the victims were released much later. However, we dont know about how long it took before the french police/british ambassador called surrey police and swedish police releasing their names. We dont know how long it took before surrey and swedish police called their relatives. Less than 7 hours?
Possibly!
Then Saffar calls al Shaykhly and they call her ex husband Jim Thompson telling him the sad news. Could that have happened within less than 7 hours after the killing? Possibly. French police had the passports!
The sad news could have been too much for his ill heart. Possibly.
Jatie
she also posted 4 hours ago:
“Let Jim rest in peace … please …”
katie,
yes, we know that they all knew Iqbal.
That’s the critical point: Why did they never come out with their knowledge? Why now?
Why did they never call Surrey or French police? Why making such a secret instead of helping and supporting police with such important facts? I mean, i would understand if they wouldnt want to deal with the media. But why did they never simply cooperate with the police? And why just now?
That’s an important question Peter Allen should ask the Mrs Weatherly family urgently.
I agree BB.
It looks as though there are dentists in the family ;
‘Calem Anderson Al-Shaikhly
9 January near North Monroe, LA, United States ·
Been up since 2:30am and on my feet from 6:00am-7:30pm. I smell like electrified skin and I can barely see straight. I’ve stuck my hands inside another living being’s face today during one of the many surgeries making today the best day EVER!! Absolutely amazing… unforgettable! Learned so Much!’
This is accompanied by a pic of him in surgery, wearing the blue gown & surgical mask.
It strikes me they have corrupted the spelling of their name.
Surely it was originally something like Kaleem al Shailhilli ?
I’d say the French, Maillard particularly is way out of his depth .
He looks like a rank amateur now.
Arresting Zaid & thinking this was about his inheritance was so obviously wrong.
Murder of a family with such a past as the Iraqi connection was obviously going to have wider implications.
What still surprises me is that not one Iraqi ‘friend’ came forward, only a few relatives…….fear ?
Mr X is still in the frame, arms dealer, oil contractor, real estate, wanted for fraud in France, also Mi6 agent.Money lender to Obama , Iraqi billionaire and former Ba’ath party member who left Iraq in the early 1980s,UK resident.
