The mainstream media for the most part has moved on. But there are a few more gleanings to be had, of perhaps the most interesting comes from the Daily Mirror, which labels al-Hilli an extremist on the grounds that he was against the war in Iraq, disapproved of the behaviour of Israel and had doubts over 9/11 – which makes a great deal of the population “extremist”. But the Mirror has the only mainstream mention I can find of the possibility that Mossad carried out the killings. Given Mr al-Hilli’s profession, the fact he is a Shia, the fact he had visited Iran, and the fact that Israel heas been assassinating scientists connected to Iran’s nuclear programme, this has to be a possibility. There are of course other possibilities, but to ignore that one is ludicrous.
Which leads me to the argument of Daily Mail crime reporter, Stephen Wright, that the French police should concentrate on the idea that this was a killing by a random Alpine madman or racist bigot. Perfectly possible, of course, and the anti-Muslim killings in Marseille might be as much a precedent as Mossad killings of scientists. But why the lone madman idea should be the preferred investigation, Mr Wright does not explain. What I did find interesting from a man who has visited many crime scenes are his repeated insinuations that the French authorities are not really trying very hard to find who the killers were, for example:
the crime scene would have been sealed off for a minimum of seven to ten days, to allow detailed forensic searches for DNA, fibres, tyre marks and shoe prints to take place.
Nearby bushes and vegetation would have been searched for any discarded food and cigarette butts left by the killer, not to mention the murder weapon.
But from what I saw at the end of last week, no such searches had taken place and potentially vital evidence could have been missed. House to house inquiries in the local area had yet to be completed and police had not made specific public appeals for information about the crime. No reward had been put up for information about the shootings.
Behind the scenes, what other short cuts have been taken? Have police seized data identifying all mobile phones being used in the vicinity of the murders that day?
The idea that the French authorities – who are quite as capable as any other of solving cases – are not really trying very hard is an interesting one.
Which leads me to this part of a remarkable article from the Daily Telegraph, which if true points us back towards a hit squad and discounts the ides that there was only one gun:
Claims that only one gun was used to kill everybody is likely to be disproved by full ballistics test results which are out in October.
While the 25 spent bullet cartridges found at the scene are all of the same kind, they could in fact have come from a number of weapons of the same make.
This throws up the possibility of a well-equipped, highly-trained gang circling the car and then opening fire.
Both children were left alive by the killers, who had clinically pumped bullets into everybody else, including five into Mr Mollier.
Zainab was found staggering around outside the car by Brett Martin, a British former RAF serviceman who cycled by moments after the attack, but he saw nobody except the schoolgirl.
Her sister, Zeena, was found unscathed and hiding in the car eight hours later.
Both sisters are now back in Britain, and are believed to have been reunited at a secret location near London.
There are of course a number of hit squad options, both governmental and private, which might well involve iraqi or Iranian interests – on both of which the mainstream media have been very happy to speculate while almost unanimously ignoring Israel.
But what interests me is why the Daily Telegraph choose, in the face of all the evidence, to minimise the horrific nature of the attack by stating that “Both children were left alive by the killers”? Zainab was not left alive by design, she was shot in the chest and her skull was stove in, which presumably was a pretty serious attempt to kill a seven year-old child. The other girl might very well have succeeded in hiding from the killers under her mother’s skirts, as she hid from the first rescuers, and then for eight hours from the police.
The Telegraph article claims to be informed by sources close to the investigation. So they believe it was a group of people, and feel motivated to absolve those people from child-killing. Now what could the Daily Telegraph be thinking?
Are we saying now that Mollier was FFL?
Ricki are you thinking
French Foreign Legion?
I would guess
Sylvain Molliex has certainly undertaken SAS style duties in the past.
I expect he has done work in Niger for Areva Uranium Mining.
I would think he is trained in Close Personal Protection.
Not somebody you would CROSS
definately someone you could trust to protect your niece.
There was an article I read the other day re Areva in Niger assigning FFL and French special forces to the Uranium Mines as security, I’ll see if I can find it.
The more I read about Oil Companies being used as cover for Intelligence Services the more I think Oil Companies are run like Intelligence services.
So links of extreme importance to The French State.
Nuclear weapons and the place at the top table

being a Highly technologically advanced State
being able to produce all your own electricity when you have little coal
being the most nuclear power reliant State in the World, this has the added advantage of keeping the State incredibly important, and voters in their place, also being in charge of every step on the way, financing, exploring, extraction, transportation, refining, fuel production, reactor production, plant production, grid construction, selling the electricity, encouraging the voters to heat their homes with electricity, being charge of security and putting a stop to fracking in France —so on.
Uranium /nuclear weapons and nuclear production of electricity is PARAMOUNT TO FRANCE.
Nothing will be allowed to get in the way of it, nothing, nobody.

The new drone base is being built next to the new 3rd mine! Flying sorties into Iraq and searching for uranium , 2 birds and all that!
What did Saad see? was he exposing something , does anyone know if there where protests in France or nearby against Areva in Niger?
Remember how Molliex’s son had an adult male friend, IIRC former military who had travelled about, on his social media account? I believe we assumed he was former military because of the locations he had visited. We assumed it was a friend of papa. So how did papa know this friend?
Of all the Xs, papa may have been one or another. The cover story was metallurgist, then mere insignificant welder. AREVA sends its employees abroad.
The gaps and inconsistencies in Molliex’s and al-Hilli’s past are very curious. Especially so with the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” situation on the al-Hilli side.

The Dominique Pin situation went right to the top, Nicolas Sarkozy:
http://www.mineweb.com/mineweb/content/en/mineweb-fast-news?oid=24203&sn=Detail
Niger obviously believed that Pin was more than just a company executive. They accused him of instigating a Tuareg rebellion.
It is hard to know if AREVA’s practices have changed since those days. If what the government in Niger said was true (AREVA denies it all, of course), Pin must have been acting on authority from the French government. AREVA’s interests are France’s interests. Displaced executive ends up in Jura.
Still thinking about the significance of the Al-Qaeda letter in the Christian Marechal murder, and Pierre Morange’s misfortune to have his name published in connection with two murders. Why the need to carry a gun now?

This article, although not properly linked to its source and somewhat sketchy, says that Crédit Agricole Alpes-Provence handles the banking for members of the French Foreign Legion who do not have French citizenship.
It also says that since 1999, Legionnaires can apply to become citizens of France at the end of their service, on the principle “by the blood shed”.
Is anyone familiar with the Crédit Agricole system? As we know, Saad al-Hilli visited one in Switzerland, where his father held an account.

Perhaps Sylvain Mollier spent his formative years in Corsica.

Perhaps a pharmacist in the Haute Savoie filled a prescription for an ex-Legionnaire. Some of these medications are linked to suicide.

Security Breach Inside Netanyahu’s Bunker on Iran Strike

Netanyahu adjourns Iran security meeting over leak
(JPost) – In a rare and dramatic move, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday adjourned, because of leaks to the press, the second part of a security cabinet meeting that began Tuesday and dealt with Iran.
Netanyahu, according to a statement issued by his office, said at the outset of the meeting that “something grave happened shortly after the conclusion of the meeting yesterday: leaks from the security cabinet meeting.”
This must have been the reason I suggested a link to the intelligence community early on …

○ PM Netanyahu: World has no right to give Israel a ‘red light’ | JPost | Sept. 11, 2012 |
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that the world has “no moral right” to put a “red light” in front of Israel if it refuses to set a “red line” for Iran.
…
Adding to the public spat between the allies, Likud MK Danny Danon reprimanded Clinton for her position, calling it a “slap in the face” to Israel and lecturing her on the significance of the issue on the anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks.
“Your words on not setting red lines for the Iranians are are a slap in the face to the State of Israel,” Danon wrote in an urgent dispatch to Clinton.
“This irresponsibility in handing the Iranian issue is dangerous to the Western world. On the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, there is a need to issue clear lines to the Iranians, who are threatening the entire Western world,” he continued.
Danon is in Washington promoting his new book, Israel: The Will to Prevail, which is highly critical of US President Barack Obama.
