The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

    @ bluebird

    Nobody did care for him for 6 days and apparently the gardener found his dead body at home when he came once a week.
    ……………………

    He had an apartment. Would he have had a gardener? Usually apartments have shared grounds

  • Katie

    Dopey.
    It’s the first I’ve heard about a gardner too. Also for such a family it is surprising there was such a gap of 6 days before the alarm was raised. I thought they’d be a closer family…. you know frequent phone calls.

  • bluebird

    Dopey. Perhaps he could not take the smell coming from that apartment. It is usually very hot in southern spain. Many people dont care about smell coming from other apartments, but some eventually do care.

    Dopey,
    The Al-Hilli business in Iraq is a ………poultry business!!!

    Not sure I can believe that.

    Bluebird did you click on her gallery, complete with sound ?

    That’s an expensive website & just look at her work,fantastic.

    @Straw44berry – Any articles or police reports on this?

    BM’s Sibling comment does suggest he knew more! We will probably never hear from him again or he will be in a traffic accident over the next year. BM is definatley the odd one out here!

    @Bluebird – The Tinner story is awesome and goes a long way (Along with other stories heard here over the last few days) to confirm that this area and into Switzerland are a hive of activity for espionage, secret selling, nuclear smuggling and covert dealings!

    @Kathy – “I think what sums up the whole situation to me was the comment by his cousin in Baghdad to look at his job and then you will know who killed him. Very succinct and probably true”

    I made the same comment yesterday!

    Lets put focus on mother in law.

    Hopefully my links further above will be moderated soon.

    She could be that woman. Her dental clinic in bahrein no longer exists and she is not listed as a dentist in bahrein. Assumingly she sold her clinic and went into retirement some time ago. However she was a sprcialist in maxillofacial surgery. Does that ring a bell?

    I pretty much believe that she is that woman.

    @katie

    The website is rather simple (flash).

    However, i hope that this website wont be closed to soon if it was hers.

    We need somebody searching her blogs and that arab magazine for her stuff and translating what exactly she did contribute on political statements there.

    Ricki,
    No other reports on this. I had to check I wasnt getting mixed up the Corsica car shootings(on 11th Sept) but photo definitely not Corte, Corsica.

    Otherwise no reports, I only hunted for it because lemessager website said Police denied there was any connection to the double murder in the street in Grenoble.

    4.12 pm Saturday 8th September
    There is no link between the killings and the murder of a man in the street this morning in Grenoble (google translation)

    http://www.lemessager.fr/Actualite/Chablais/2012/09/05/article_messager_1623629.shtml

    The gallery detail at the top of the photos page says:- DOUBLE MURDER IN FRANCE

    but reported as 1 murder!!!

    Is this another cover-up??

  • Katie

    Straw & Dopey, here they say engineering, but could have been both:

    “had first come to the UK in the 1970s after the family business was seized by the Baath Party. He added that he had recently returned to Iraq to claim back the Baghdad premises where his family had a mechanical engineering business before it was sequestered by Saddam.

    Members of the Iraqi community in London said that some members of Mr Al-Hilli’s family, which comes from the Karrada district of Baghdad, were involved in politics but it remained unclear whether they had faced any direct threats.”

    erm….bomb making materials hidden in chicken coops?

    http://www.defense.gov/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=49814

    Seems the chicken industry didnt take off till 1965, and didnt REALLY take off till 1989 (read this in another article but IE crashed and lost the link) so seems a bit late for Saad’s father to have made much money from it before he fled.

    Anyway….back to chickens hatching bombs…

    @Katie

    deaf is deaf so stop being so bloody pretentious..

    Your compassion is truly touching.

    Yesterday I was asking if a hearing impaired person could use a mobile phone. Clearly, a profoundly deaf person could not (apart from text, internet etc). So no, “deaf is not deaf”, at least not in this context.

  • Katie

    Bluebird

    I’ve looked at all the sculptures, almost everyone is crying out with pain,women shielding children,an giant hand grasping bodies,a headless body,children & adults lying on the ground, all depicting painful experience.

  • Ferret

    @Katie

    I can tell you roland rat/ferret. Neither of you are any good at sleuthing………you are so utterly wrong about my ‘job’..very funny .

    Ooooer, get her!! Roland, me and you should just pack up now, we’ve been told, haven’t we?!?!

    Hang on a mo, though – I don’t remember saying what your job was, Katie! OOPS again!! I just said you weren’t very good at it. Remember?

  • dopey

    Sorry if this name’s been thrown into the mix already.

    There’s a Muthafer Al Hilli at Baghdad Uni…..he’s a physisist.

  • Ricki Tarr

    What would be good for us to list on one post all the murders, thefts and smuggling rackets reported in connecting with the Nuke industry in this area, I think that is what will demonstrate that this is a hive of activity.

    Also if there is Espionage & Counter espionage going on in this area there must be intelligence officers around and people planted within the industry, is this our friend Brett, building owned by a front company and probably connected to 5 or 6!

    Still no news, no tweets!

    Surely we should have had

    Confirmation of weapom
    Approx number of shooters
    What they found in the House that caused the Bomb scare
    What was in the safe
    Anything found at the house
    Al Hilli Family connections
    Mollier………………..Any other info?
    Mother in law info
    Interviews of residents/Camp Site

    There is just nothing not even a scrap, I didnt believe the D Notice but this is just not real?

  • Ferret

    @Katie

    I have a feeling Guano is highly explosive , like fertiliser.

    ROTFL!!!!

    😀

    Thanks for ANOTHER GOOD ONE™

    Maybe SAH and Mollier were building a chicken-shit bomb, and that’s why the special forces took them out?!

  • James

    Bluebird.

    It’s all about Ba’hrain…and the troubles there.
    It’s written very “flowery” if you get my drift.

  • straw44berry

    Perhaps the Al-Hilli engineering company is now (not when they left in 1970) making nuclear components which newspapers are probably unable to report.
    The Indie just dropped nuclear while Telegraph said ‘poultry’ which translates to ‘in a business the nature of which we are unable to report at this time’

  • Katie

    Ricki, it’s a full blank.

    No interview with social workers,journalists must know where the girls are,even if it’s only the UK hospital the older one must be in.
    Let’s face it ,if they were in any danger, those who want to get at them will know where they are.

  • dopey

    @ ferrety face

    Katie’s right. It was originally farmed for its explosive qualities ie nitrogen 😉

  • bluebird

    @james
    Thank you. I got just nonsense by using google translate.

    I am into a new, likely weird, conspiracy theory.

    I was intrgued by the words: she is (was) a specialist in maxillofacial surgery!!!!!
    Plus she had her own clinic in bahrein.

    What if she were so pissed about what was going on in the arabic world that she chsnged sides and was threatening to report the new identities (and new faces) of former spies and “missing” politicians to the other side?

    No secret service would love that the names of their crown witnesses who got new identities would be made public to the other side?!?

    Just a theory. However would enforce an assassination as well.

  • Roland Teflon

    @Ricki Tarr

    So are you starting to believe in the issuing of a D notice where this case is concerned?

  • Ferret

    @Dopey

    Katie’s right. It was originally farmed for its explosive qualities ie nitrogen

    Erm… so chickens were orignally farmed for the explosive qualities of their shit??

    :puzzled:
