The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

I’m at a loss to understand the problems people are having with the word sibling. It derives from Old English meaning relative and is common enough use in the UK when referring to brothers and sisters.

The armed services officially went metric years ago, even the US forces use metric units and have done so since Vietnam. You must’ve heard them talking about “klicks” (kilometres) in various war films.

The freeze response has been well documented and in the circumstances might’ve been the best option for the little girl. Keep still, play dead and wait for the killer to go away. You can even understand her not moving, had she still been conscious of course, when a lot of unknown men speaking in a strange language surrounded the car. I think I might’ve done the same. I think had she been removed from the car and placed back in it afterwards I think she’d have said so.

For the person who asked I’m English. A Londoner by birth now living happily in the home counties.

“a lot of unknown men speaking in a strange language surrounded the car”

    Meaning of course the police.

  • James

If he was say from Holland and flight deck.
Then I would expect he would use “feet” at work.
    But metres at home.

But he flew Phantoms I believe.
    And they were in “feet”

Especially when intercepting a Russian “Bear” off Scotland.

Has anyone ever seen the BBC2 3 part series called GLADIO from the late 70’s/80’s, it is on youtube, it is brilliant and well put together, I am thinking that maybe the old fashioned weapon suggested by the police and media may be from an old weapons cache that this type of cell uses and stores hem for a rainy day!

I dont actually believe that an old weapon was used and be more or a modified weapon was used but this would explain it.

  • Vermillion

I think the issue with sibling is not the word as such but the use of it when you have no knowledge about the family concerned. Why assume if you see two children playing that they are siblings. BM saw only one child and “assumed” a playmate and moreover one that was the child he saw’s sibling.

Phantom pilot turns up, in effect ‘twice’
    1just after the reported killing(s)
2just when the ‘official narrative’ is under ‘stress’ (from blog sites such as this) – more or less a week ‘after the event(s)’ …

Precisely mate, he was denied a Visa for Iraq, but Iran was nada problemo!!! 🙂

  • James

    Anders.

Where’s the Qom post ? What did it say ?
Was it why did he go ? Can’t find it.

If so. It’ll be, he’s Shia. Simple as that.
So is Iran…and ole Saddam most def wasn’t.

  • Vermillion

Yes let’s move onto Qom. We seem to have heard no more about Mr al-Hilli’s pilgrimage there. The issue is not just if Mr al-Hilli was doing something more than pilgrimage but if what he did may have aroused suspicions in western intelligence agencies whether justified or not. It would not be the first time someone has been killed on only a suspicion.

  • James

“Precisely mate, he was denied a Visa for Iraq, but Iran was nada problemo!!!”

    Well he would.

    He’s Shia.
    He’s not Sunni.
And not Ba’ath Party…hence why they left Iraq.

PS. Another thought, the idea of BM’s “holiday home” being a cover for surveillance also explains why BM would bother to tell us in the interview that he’d spent the morning doing DIY on the house, as he normally did. Who gives a flying one what he did every morning??? Or even on that morning? Best guess – it’s a cover story to explain why he’s there, because it’s over-egging the pudding. If he has a holiday home there he doesn’t need to explain why he’s there at all…

Agreed – apparently SAH had been going to the same camp dies for year’s, do makes sense to have a safe house for the handler nearby to Sylvain, IF he was providing stuff for the Brits. Probably used the same RV in years gone by, all three. Excellent cover for BM. The local cycling club too, where he could debrief Sylvain on rides in the countryside.

    It all FITZ ™

And if SAH was turned at his pilgimage to Qom, very near Tehran, just 97 miles away, he could do a century there!

Qom (Persian: Qom‎ [ɢom], also known as Q’um or Ghom)[1] is a city in Iran. It lies 156 kilometres (97 mi) by road southwest of Tehran and is the capital of Qom Province. At the 2006 census, its population was 957,496, in 241,827 families.[2] It is situated on the banks of the Qom River.

Then the rumours I posted at the start could be sound, an Israeli Kidon team does the biz, or MKO are hired by BiBi to do the biz.

Same thing, and MKO could account for the sloppiness with Zainab.

    Anders…

    There’s so many posts !!!

Is it “@Anders Its strange how they let him go to Qom and not to his own country of Iraq” ????

    Isn’t that a bit obvious ?????

    What’s in Qom for a Shia ?
What’s the “religion” of Iran ?
What was the main party in Iraq (pre war) ?
What is the “rulers” of Iraqs main religion ?

AND for christ sake please NO ONE say “Muslim” !!!!

  • James

Why would a Shia, going to Qom, be granted a VISA ?????

Erm ! Because it was Christmas !

Jeez guys, I’m the Spook ??? I give mis info ??? What is this ???

  • Vermillion

Remember the pilgrimage to Qom reinforces his Shia heritage – so any connection to the fundamentalist Sunni/ Salafist Al-Qaeda seem very unlikely. Ok I know here there have not been suggestion of such a connection but some in the press still like to go all Al-Qaeda on us whenever a Muslim is mentioned.

  • James

    Anders….

    What is the post ???

I’m not hunting for the damn thing.

I have asked…are you asking why does a Shia get a VISA from Iran to visit Qom ?

    Erm… Guess.

Key words there are… “Iran”, “Shia” and “Qom””.

    Jimmeh

    Answer the above

    Point by point.

  • Ricki Tarr

I dont see your point on being Shia at its not Iran that would provide a visa or permission to go to Iran, especially as I dont think the UK have many ways to track or keep tabs on someone in that country, where as Iraq would be a different matter with infastructure and personnel already there.

Im sure Iran would also have a go if they thought he was an asset and worth turning!

My mate told me a story of being in Israel on a Kabutz (he was Jewish and had family in Israel) and he had an interview with an Intelligence officer there.

Qom happens to also be the location of not only one of Iran’s biggest enrichmant facilities, it is also the best defended as it is inside the side of a mountain… come one guys it’s all in the thread already..

    Anders the Mis Info dude.

What was you post on Qom ?

I think here you my friend have found yourself “slightly” (cough) outside your comfort zone.

Like the ole MP’s (I refer the answer to the question I raised earlier ! type BS)

What was your question about Qom ?

  • Vermillion

The MKO is a interesting angle. They have many friends in the US despite being defined as a terrorist group in the US, Canada and Iraq (but not the EU now). Also the MKO seem to have given the US info on Iran’s nuclear program which is a worry given the history of Iraq where opposition groups there insisted Iraq had WMD when it did not. History repeating itself?

  • James

“its not Iran that would provide a visa or permission to go to Iran”

    3. RAFman says that after he and PD went up the scene, PD went down to call the rescue services. PD says he made the call before going up.

    ………………….

That one’s not right. In his interview RAFman did say they called before they went up in the car.
