My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.
Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.
In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.
My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?
Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:
From Janesmith101
All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police
Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.
Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.
What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?
As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.
Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.
An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.
I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.
I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

Noted.

My point about Gary Aked was really not so much as to whether or not SAH would have gotten security clearance, but how the bleep would Gary Aked be in a position to know that someone, anyone, would never get security clearance, for whatever reason?
I mean, what is he, someone who issues security clearances???
And how does he know the details of SAH’s contracts so deeply that he knows for sure that none of them are defence? No one knows anyone else’s business THAT deeply… or do they???
Who is this guy???
@anders
>Also, BM and Mollier were both members of the same cycling club.
Where is that fact established?
@ ferret
The longer interview was on The Sun’s website
Yes, Ferret at 11;07pm on 19.9.12, thanks for clarifying, I know. It’s complex. But yes, maybe the chap simply made an assumption – interview someone, they feel they have to start speculating – same with the supposed chatrooms, maybe. Odd, though. Yes, who is he? What does he do? Is this like Cheltenham?

There’s very little to be found on the net for Gary Aker. He’s on Linkedin, but no details that can be viewed, and just four connections. All of these involved (with the exception of Brett) have next to nothing on their Linkedin profiles and hardly any or no connections. Weird.
On 192.com there are a couple of Gary Akers, one in Yorks and one in Kent or Sussex – I can’t recall which, but there’s a five or six year gap electoral roll wise at the same address, so perhaps he worked abroad then.
Other than the fact he’s on the Toyota Owners’ Club website (or one of the Gary Akeds is) there’s nothing else about him.
I’d be interested to know who he works for/his occupation.

I have being thinking that perhaps the authorities knew very quickly that it was an assassination and considered pretending that the younger child was dead on the scene per first reports and that the seven year old was to “die” later in hospital) so as to protect them. However as time went on they perhaps realised that the children were not at risk or it would be too hard to pretend they died with everyone expecting funerals and the like so voila the little girl appears 8 hours later. By now people have had to lie so everyone smells a rat as they are now following a partially concocted story.
This must be him. He’s an engineer, and said he worked with Saad as that’s how they met, in 1993
http://radaris.co.uk/p/Gary/Aked/
Why playing then Ferret.
I get waht youre saying…
Put then both out of the car, But why ?
So if I’ve read the thread correctly SAH had his Sonic Screwdriver out in Qom ? Seemingly he was a bit handy with it
Mucker (ferret).
I am trying to “destroy” any theory…as it’s the only way we have.
What I can not destroy is, the Hf or the “metals”.
So for me I am “taking that” as true.
If so, how do I fit everything else “in”.
erm…….
Could the ATK Gary Aked works for..or worked for…be THIS ATK…space and weapons ATK???
ATK does or did have UK sites. I visited a couple years ago – Honeywell Control Systems.

@Dopey
Good call!
Their product list is, erm, SCARY…

If Gary Aked is their Chief Engineer as is on the web then I expect he might know a thing or two about security clearance…
@Fiona

Interesting… that would fit in nicely with what I’m suggesting…
Ferret, the four year old, Zeena, was interviewed by French police before being returned to the UK. Apart from hearing “noises and cries” she was reported as not having seen anything. I don’t recall her being declared dead at any stage, I don’t think anyone was aware she was even there until they removed the other bodies. I can’t think of any reason why the killer would want to hang around after the killing putting the litle girl back in the car, it makes no sense and how did he lock the car doors afterwards? Did he have a spare key and if so where from? Can a BMW be locked from the outside with a key in the ignition anyway?
A general point; quoting the details of assassinations carried out by Mossad in the past isn’t evidence that this is also a Mossad killing. If anything the precise nature and careful planning of the other shootings suggest this bloodbath was anything but well planned.
@Ferret
It’s interesting that Gary Aked diverts attention from al-Hilli’s job as a possible motive for killing him to his religious beliefs and anger at the Iraq war so hinting at possible terrorist links. Could he just have been dissembling in order to create a smoke screen?

I bet it IS that ATK. It would fit perfectly with Saad’s career. In 2009 ATK won the contract to supply all of France’s gendarmes with their guns amongst other things funniy enough.
You can open a C/L door from the inside.
DSC system on a BMW (assume it’s auto) would kick in …has to be the only marks are on the pax side rear.
Check pics of the car being removed Vs “in sit”.
@Kempe
The very first report in the French press at 17:45 did mention a young child as one of the dead in the car in addition to the badly injured girl outside the car. Bottom of the webpage below:
http://www.lemessager.fr/Actualite/Chablais/2012/09/05/article_messager_1623629.shtml
As for Mossad planning killings that is true; mention has been made of weeks or months planning. However in this case that was not possible as it seems the trip to France was at short notice. This could explain the lack of planning. Of course that does not necessarily mean Mossad did it but whoever did it could not really have planned well for the Annecy hit at such short notice.
July 2012 ATK announces plans re new small satellite.
Which is what Surrey Satellites does.
ATK works with Astrium/EADS on the Liberty project.
Surrey Satellites was bought by EADS…..and not forgetting the BAE merger.
Gary Aked possibly works for ATK.
Saad possibly DID.
It would be nice to find something to tie Sylvain with ATK too. I can’t find the link now but I did find a Sylvain Mollier(e) who worked for a company starting with ATK, but it was to do with transport I’m sure. He was listed as a speaker at a conference …to do with customs and the logistics of customs. I need to find it again. I discounted it as him being a different Mollier.
Sec guys, I lost the will to live trying to filter out the noise on the previous page. Where did Gary Aked come from ?
So much noise.
Found it. It was AFT not ATK.
Sylvain Molliere listed as a speaker on day 2 of the conference. It must be a different Molliere though
http://www.odasce.asso.fr/conference_2011/img/conference_leaflet.pdf
It looks to me as if all of them had received death threats since they went to such extraordinary lengths to foil any attack – in al-Hilli’s case, arranging the holiday at such short notice plus the French cyclist taking a different route that day. Possibly the al-Hilli family were even doing a runner once they completed that assignment. Also AH wearing a bullet-proof vest and the comment he made to the neighbour about the possibility of getting a bullet through his head. If I felt that scared I think I would do a runner.
He also said to the neighbour to look after the house for him as though he was going to be away for a long time.
Dopey (ms)
Where on that link ?
Kathy
write in points.
You can read it better.
@James
He’s listed on the day two agenda James.
erm….
This Sylvain Molliere who works at AFT-IFTIM…I’m now wondering if it IS our Sylvain.
This AFT company looks innocent enough – it does training- logistics and stuff. Or so i thought. Take a look at these Linkedin profiles :-/ . Look at the careers …then look at their education.
1st one below- will post the others separately to escape the mod queue
