The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

So here’s Gary Akers’ LinkedIn profile, folks.

Peter, you can post the info you have on the other one, and people here can judge which one they think fits better. Deal?

Numpty, that’s funny. And I haven’t even started yet!

I’m guessing, but we were told a social worker had left with them. Then the prosecutor said they were not just going to hand the child over to just anyone,so I guess the French equivalent…plus security & or psychiatrist.

    =====
Lots of GUESSES and ASS-umptions here. 😉

An SW is NOT a child trauma SHRINK – a TAVISTOCK shrink/s would be big daddy number one!

  • Katie

Straw, so much for the security though, seeing the aunt means the children can be identified in the UK.

If that was a photo op, it flies in the face of silence & lack of photos of the mother.
So I take it the woman in the photo, the aunt, is Mrs Al-Hilli’s sister,or is she the wife of Zaid’s son ?.

This is obscure and probably nothing but its been in my head for a while.

Gary Aked was in the Class of 1967 in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell school in Oxfordshire.

Saad’s BMW OE04 WJZ reg means its from Oxfordshire.

Any other connections to Oxfordshire? If not just ignore me.

    Gary Aked

He is supposedly SAH’s best friend

He tells the world that SAH could not have been involved in defence contracts, no way jose.

He tells the world that SAH would never have got security clearance, not with his Iraqi background n all.

    My questions were (and are)

    a) How would he know for sure that SAH didn’t work on defence contracts? He was his friend, not his accountant. He could have had a pretty good idea, but he could not, I venture, have been 100% certain.

    b) How would he know that SAH wouldn’t have got security clearance? Hands up anyone here who knows how it works. If you do, you’re an insider.

So… Gary Aked must be an insider, otherwise he wouldn’t have known.

    This was a bit of a give-away.

  • Peter

    @ Straw44berry

    Peter,
Why do you say Akers? Its Gary AKED.

My bad. I was quoting from the posts of His Master’s Ferret.

Anyway, that story about GA working for a US defence company is pure, unalloyed *tosh*, as anyone with even the remotest interest in finding out the truth can easily establish for him-/herself.

  • Ferret

There is no other possible explanation for this strange statement.

He could just have said “he didn’t work on defence contracts”, period. And that would have been that. But he had to add, “he would never have got security clearance because of his Iraqi background”, to make everyone shut up and not look any further.

    Good job Gary Aked.

But he slipped up ever so slightly by adding a detail that we didn’t need to know, and which only an insider COULD know: that his Iraqi background would prevent him getting security clearance.

Now, I will tell you right now that I don’t know how security clearance is given or not, but I certainly wouldn’t rule out clearance being given to a top scientist from Iraq who defected from Saddam’s dictatorship.

After all, look at the Jewish scientists who fled Nazi Germany, or the Nazi ones who were given top jobs in the USA after WWII.

So… again, Gary Aked has got to be “in the know”.

If you know what I mean.

    😉

Not only someone WITH security clearance, but someone who knows HOW they are given out.

This isn’t just any old ordinary person with security clearance, no siree bob.

  • Ferret

So… Gary Aked is a (or perhaps “the”?) Senior Engineer at ATK.

Someone with security clearance, and who knows how the system works.

    So what, you might ask.

    Fair question.

    So…

Let’s have a look see at what ATK actually does.

They publish their product list here:

  • straw44berry

I searched for Gary and got a link to a female AKED and from her saw a list of linkedin profiles of people with AKED surnames. Gary Aked just had his name so probably deleted in the past week.

I thought these were particularly interesting

    @Everyone

Of course, I may have got the wrong ATK – but I don’t think so somehow.

There don’t seem to be any other suitable companies called ATK that trade in the UK that are big enough to have a Senior Engineer and would employ someone in Guildford (or near enough).

And I seriously doubt that someone in the UK would put on their professional LinkedIn profile that they worked for “ATK” when in fact they worked for WS Atkins (Peter), because no one in the UK would know what they were talking about – but they would probably have heard of WS Atkins as it’s a limited company. And no, not even if the company’s ticker symbol is “ATK.L” (WS Atkins).

  • Ferret

Now then now then now then…

So we have Gary Aked working for ATK who provide, apart from shed-loads of regular weaponry, satellite services that can dock with any make of satellite and de-orbit it… does that ring any bells with any recent events?

And they offer a satellite that can “provide near real-time data (within 10 minutes of its collection) to the combatant commander in the theater of interest”.

Do you think Al-Hilli just might have been working on either of these two projects? (If we have the right Gary Aked, and if this is the right ATK, that is.)

And if he was, do you think the inside knowledge would be sufficient to die for?

  • Peter

You don’t, and a single phone call could rid you of those misperceptions. I’m waiting for your FULL APOLOGY™

  • Ferret

    @Peter

And your proof that Gary Aked is a Senior Engineer at WS Atkins is… what exactly?

    Have you called him?

Do you have a link to a web page?

    Or a LinkedIn profile?

If so, please post, so we can all see.

Like I say, I might be wrong but I don’t think so.

So please, go ahead and prove me wrong!
