My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.
Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.
In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.
My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?
Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:
From Janesmith101
All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police
Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.
Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.
What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?
As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.
http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html
The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.
Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.
An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.
I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.
I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.
From HMRC website re VAT
VAT registration threshold
If you’re in business, you must register for VAT if your VAT taxable turnover for the previous 12 months is more than £77,000. This figure is known as the VAT registration threshold. The threshold changes – usually once a year announced in the Budget – so you should regularly check your turnover against the current threshold.
You must also register for VAT if either of the following applies:
you think your VAT taxable turnover may go over the threshold in the next 30 days alone
you take over a VAT-registered business as a going concern
Deregistration threshold
The deregistration threshold is £75,000. If your VAT taxable turnover for the year is less than or equal to £75,000, or if you expect it to fall to £75,000 or less in the next 12 months, you can either:
stay registered for VAT
ask for your VAT registration to be cancelled
If you decide to stay registered, you don’t have to do anything.
………………
Why file a VAT return when he was so obviously under the threshold for VAT?
Can we check the local death records in the area to see if any other Middle easten people died around this time?
So, what is credible?
a. Nothing.
b. Something
c. Everything
We have no bodies, no bikes.
We have a car with broken windows, and (perhaps not at the same time) some glass, some cartriges, and some blood.
Doesn’t add up to much, Sherlock.

Indeed.
But we DO have ONE other curious ANOMALY…
A 7,000 post thread full of a cast of characters that change by the hour…
How ODD… 😮
Again, I cannot see a long term friend of 20 years who knew all the family , who he socialised with, would be party to wiping out this family. …… the only vague possibility could be that, IF, Aked were involved, then that’s why the children were spared.

There are limitless motives for murder and betrayal.
Flanders
“James is insinuating tax and vat fraud, no doubt his specialty!”
Ridiculous again Flanders.
But you stick to your “theories” and I’ll chase mine.
Found you’re just “piss and wind” matey, So I don’t read your waffle.
Dopey.
You can…but don’t have to (re VAT). But if you earn over the threshold, you do. Normally quarterly.
SSTL said he was “long term”, NOT he was PAYE.
The accountant says “rush to file VAT forms”.
But last year (from Shtech) the earning were low ! That’s the contractor Co (forget AMS 1087) that’s an off the shelf co set up with the guy that owns the scooter shop (guess it was just a “flyer” trying to get some cash in).
I have done some digging here.
So why “rush to file” the VAT forms ?
Is this true ??? Or false ??
@Anders – Its not odd it is obvious there is public interest and curiosity in this case even is the MSM dont think so (or are not allowed to) and lots of people saw holes in this from the start that made them first suspicious and then interested in what the outcome could be, there are people from all over the world here and that is why its a 24hr community.
It reminds me of close encounters of the third kind where all the witnesses are curious about their visions of the mountain and want to solve the puzzle of what it means or represents!
And may I remind you Flanders…
“James is insinuating tax and vat fraud, no doubt his specialty!”

Quite right James, I wouldn’t want to be called an Accountant either!
😀
(Apologies to any Accountants on the board… it was just too funny not to!)
Anders, that reminds me, the night before last you said you were going to post a wrap-up, narrowing it down to two possibilities.
I suspect in all the “hilarity” last night got in the way… are you still planning to post the wrap at some point?
A query re names…
Thayer is the surname of the brother, currently receiving institutional care in the UK (in Reading)?
But al-Saffar is the surname of his murdered mother, and his sister in Reading?
As regards Gary Aked’s remarks…
One innocent explanation might be that Saad had told him that he was being kept off certain contracts because he couldn’t get clearance. The rest of Aked’s comments don’t sound to me like those of a genuine friend.
“A blow up dolly buried at sea?” Anders7777.
Whatever turns you on. But steady on now. Some bromide, perhaps?
CD, at 12:02pm on 25.9.12:
Hello. We meet again.
It is not uncommon in some Muslim societies for women to keep their maiden names. So a son/daughter and a mother might have different surnames. I don’t know about specifically Iraqis in this regard, though. I guess also obviously if a woman marries twice in her life, the same thing might happen.

I agree. Remember Tom Mangold wrt David Kelly?
Ricki Tarr, at 11:46am on 25.9.12:
Yes, it is interesting. I think the public are more aware nowadays that what the MSM tells them may not be the whole truth (or indeed any part of it). After ‘Iraq’, David Kelly, Gareth Williams and (?Diana), many people are deeply skeptical – rightly so. What is key, in my view, is that the skepticism, and the polical activism, if any, remain/be rational.
Re names… to confuse matters further
A family statement was made at one point by Ahmed Al-Saffar, the brother in law of Mrs Al-Allaf who is based in the UK.

Having spent many 1000s of hours on many forums, I can ASSURE you a spike like this is abnormal – it only happens when the FAIRYTALE ™ massagers need backup.
So let us agree to disagree 🙂

NURSE!
You are clearly clued up on all this malarkey, you’ve said so above. Speciality is it? Don’t worry, they’re all at it! 😉
@ Thomas
Thanks for the information that SÄPO searched the granny’s flat in Sweden. In my view, that is yet another indication that this case is being treated as terrorism-related.

Yes I did one and it got SLED rather sharpish. I boiled it down to 2 possibilities, I will repost.
OK excellent sleuthing by all!
I still say everything that goes on in the world revolves around my quartet, and that includes this case too.
Guns – i.e. .milsat knowledge
Oil – i.e .nuke knowledge
DOGG
DOPE: the drugs trade, big pharma etc
OIL: oil, nuke energy, free energy etc
GUNS: all .mil stuff
GOLD: the financial system, enslaving countries (and people) via usury, controlling economies
Anyhoos after near 7k posts I am boiling this down to two possibilities
1. A Mossad hit
2. An extraction
3 covers both 1 and 2 = a psyop = FAIRYTALE ™
And we are definitely witnessing a very Machiavellian charade play out
ERGO
They are doing it for a reason

It is good to hear that you are looking at the financial angle. SAH must have been struggling to raise the inheritance tax for the estate that his father left, plus buying out his brother of the (jointly-owned, if I remember correctly) house in Claygate. Irrespective of his long-term income situation, this was a man who needed a lot of cash in a hurry.

Are you as skeptical, financially speaking, about William Brett Martin, and his company, Silver Fern (Sussex) Ltd?
Just asking.

The man died years ago, he was on dialysis and in very bad shape. Bhutto confirmed this and was assassinated. That so called raid really WAS a fairytale. And buried at sea? How dignified, again designed to rile up Islam. Same with the way the Americans murdered Saddam’s sons and paraded their corpses around the city – that kind of behaviour is medieval – Same with the Saddam lookalike – all designed to make things far far worse.

Great synopsis – thanks.
😀
I am now leaning toward the idea that SAH knew something about satellites and/or the RQ-170 that would either (a) help Iran, so Mossad did the hit, or (b) would damage Iran if he fed them duff info, so Iran did the hit.
I would say (a) is far more likely than (b).
There is of course an option (c) which is that he was helping Iran so the USA “extracted” him to interrogate him and find out who his contacts were and how much they knew.
Ricki, The idea he might use the info himself to control satellites never occurred to me… Possible, I suppose, but it seems a bit small-time to me, to be honest. And then why travel to France to meet SM?
Skepital of everything mucker.
Even the “Pakistan” angle that will soon raise it’s head.
