My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.
Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.
In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.
My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?
Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:
From Janesmith101
All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police
Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.
Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.
What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?
As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.
Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.
An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.
I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.
I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.
Found it…
In a Skype message to Gary in October 2009, Saad told how he was looking forward to visiting Iraq to try to secure a £800,000 property deal, adding fondly: “Iraq is still warm.”

James Barnett definitely is the classic scooter guy. It’s not that hard to find out, is it?

@Straw
Thanks
🙂
Ferret stop !
I have never mentioned Torture on this site nor have I ever mentioned why Ali’s family left Iraq, because I didn’t know. I have only concerned myself with the subject/ victims of this blog.
You couldn’t even get the right family members because it was Saad’s family we discussing.
I repeat yet again, I have written clearly on page 23 about AH family , Saad, father & brother, who left because they were PERSECUTED……
I challenged you to bring the comment, you say I made, about the uncle & torture , you couldn’t find it because I never said anything of the sort. Period .
Ricki, I assume that Mohammed is this one ?
Nothing said about being a Sheikh there. Here he is at the cousins IMM forum which I posted last night, they do seem to be a peaceful family.

The Max pictures from the other blog are interesting, I cant see what he means about the Magneta 3 yet but his observation is correct from this picture it looks as though there is blood on the far right of the car park as if someone has been shot there before the car was put in reverse? Was the daughter outside the car shot there initially?

Blue have you had any joy with the Magneta
Journalist been tweeting about the case for the last few days and tweeted that BBC radio 4 will have a report tomorrow (Thursday) at 8pm.

Ricki. Just click on the links to the imageshack stuff. I’ll do one more comparison/combo of the original. All I can think he’s suggesting is that there’s definitely someone in the passenger seat. All I’m doing with the images is adjusting the colour filter so we’re not actually seeing anything new. Unless it’s easier to spot the blood. Hold tight for the before-and-after comparison.

Could just be the light. It makes the back of the truck, the “person” in the passenger seat and some of the coppers look the same colour. Unless I’m missing something or done something wrong with the filter I can’t see anything. Anyone else..?
@peter
Thanks. Scooter business confirmed. Looks like a hobby to me rather than a business. Normally you can do such business only if you have a huge financial background (savings) or any other quite significant regular income.
Ricki, my first attempt was at 11:02. I linked them individually so download them all. The “threshold” one is interesting. Again, the light could be playing tricks.
“Gradient Map 2″jpg looks interesting.
Thanks Blue great job!
I was just checking the Simon Cox Twitter and noticed some breaking news that:
Breaking News @BreakingNews
Update: Correspondent for Iran’s Press TV shot dead by sniper in Syria, Damascus bureau chief wounded – @Reuters http://reut.rs/PYVBrl
The magenta version that someone apparently just posted at Marilyn Z. Tomlins doesn’t look all that interesting to me

James Barnett’s info is most helpful, especially when one understands that SAH’s satellite work did not require signing the OSA, and was said to be of a non-military nature.
But it did have military applications when it came to the thickness of sand, etc.
And SAH was apparently suffering from the same false assumption that Gareth Williams had whrn he thought he was free from legal sanctions when he and Gudrun Loftus divulged the Afghan Log to Wikileaks and Julian Assange.
While the FBI could not get them, the covert operators certainly did.
And SIS helped make SAH pay for his liberties with info of great strategic importance.
Mistakenly called Möllemann Owe in a previous post when his first name is Jurgen. Got that conspiracy assassination mixed up with that one of Uwe Barschel.
@Peter it tells a tale (not a fairy tale) that someone was shot to the right of the car park as the trail is made by the cars tyre marks ending to the left hand side, it also tells us that someone was shot before the car moved.
If the marks where made by the BMW then the girl was shot next to the drivers side window which leads me to believe it was to extract info from SAH (if he was driving).

I can see why that one may be popular. It looks like the aftermath of a seal culling massacre with all the red splodges.
They’re all good to see with the different effects, but I can’t say I can draw any conclusions from any of them.
Just got a very strange call from the Daily Mail???
It also looks as though the girl was placed on the front of the car after being shot!
Dopey, I agree tbh. They’re still the same photos. I’d like to know what that cat on the other forum did to make it look like an abattoir and been turned inside out :s
BTW, what I did wasn’t really “effects”. It’s still the same photo with the same info, just adjusted colour. The other person’s looked like he/she had actually applied an effect so maybe he/she can post on here to describe what he/she did.
Pretty interesting article from some years ago regarding a secret project of assassinations of Iraqi people by SAS special forces.

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree. The semicircular tyre trail was certainly not left by the BMW. The BMWs inside (left-hand) tyres are somewhere near the outside trail, and about a car-width away from the inside track.
@ Ricki
spill the beans. the suspense is killing me.
Peter which would suggest that the car skidded, think about the movement of a vehicle reversing in that arc at that speed on gravel. not a giant leap that it moves sideways by one car width, at all. in fact, expected at speed.
I dont know really it freaked me out a bit, they asked me to confirm my name and if read papers at home and how I read my news etc etc, just seemed fake but may be being paranoid and just a coincidence!!!
Its funny as this is the only time I have ever ready the Daily Mail paper or site and I suddenly get a call????
@ Bilbo Mortdecai
If It had skidded, there would be skidmarks. No, IMHO, if that semicircular track has anything at all to do with this case, it was left by another car that “boxed in” the AH’s BMW (perhaps leading SAH to reverse his BMW in a bid to escape)
@Katie
I challenged you to bring the comment, you say I made, about the uncle & torture , you couldn’t find it because I never said anything of the sort. Period .
Oh, I see what you’re getting at now. You are right, I was wrong – you didn’t say that his uncle had been tortured, what you said was they “fled in fear of their lives”, quote unquote.
So, if I rephrase my post, with your correction, it would read like this:
1. You claim that because SAH came over to the UK as a teenager, he could not have been a nuclear engineer at the time, and therefore could not have helped Saddam with his nuclear project.
And
2. You claim that because the family FLED IN FEAR OF THEIR LIVES, he would not have wanted to help Saddam with his nuclear project.
In answer to (1), you are forgetting or ignoring SAH’s frequent return visits to Iraq as an adult, which would have given him ample opportunity to assist Saddam’s nuclear programme.
And in answer to (2), although he did not support Saddam, he may have wanted to help his country of birth defend itself from Iranian/US/Israeli agression, or simply to help it get a nuclear deterrent against Israel which is widely thought to have nuclear weapons.
It is also of course possible (in fact, quite conceivable) that Saddam, having tortured SAH’s uncle, wouldn’t hesitate to torture SAH’s remaining family members (or threaten to) in order to get SAH to comply.
So… your arguments that SAH could not/would not have taken part in Saddam’s nuclear program do not stand up to scrutiny, and the original point that SAH may well have helped Saddam’s nuclear ambitions is still a viable theory.
Is that more accurate now?
So… would you now conceed that it is at least possible for SAH to have helped with Saddam’s nuclear ambitions, as an adult expatriate Iraqi, albeit unwillingly?

If you got the phone number for who was ringing you see if it comes up on “whocallsme”. You can add a note on there to say its suspected to be MI5…just to be on the safe side…and to wind anyone up who’s had a call from the number too 🙂
…Shtech, the aeronautical business which he ran with his wife Iqbal and which had sub-contracted with SSTL, registered profits of just £8,330 last year
Just pointing out that the profits of £8,330 from S(aad)H(illi)Tech may have come after he had paid himself a salary of £65,000.
