The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

    Does the meteorite ‘unable to be a satellite’ because it’s travelling in the wrong direction mean – its not a geostationery satellite BUT it could be a spy satellite which move in the opposite direction so they can be above any point on the globe within 24 hours if they wish.
    (James Bond – Goldeneye I think)

    I can’t post for laughing, with “Peeping Tomanders” posting whatever we say on Icke now *waves* 😀

    Ferret. Yeah, I thought I read about some bodies in the lake so had a look and couldn’t find anything. Did I imagine that? Got distracted by Question Time.

    @Bert P

    You are absolutely correct – you’ve hit the nail on the head!!

    2) Israel was involved, but the wording doesn’t prevent a well sourced (i.e. not speculation) artcile being published.

    The Telegraph DOES publish a QUOTE from someone, pointing at Mossad. As it’s a direct quote, it’s not “speculation”.

    It’s the exception which proves the rule.

    ……………………………….

    We probably agree really, that the media have been silenced. You say the above is the exception that proves the rule, I assumed the very few clues, quotes and hints that have been printed are enough to convince people there are are no injunctions.

    ATK is at {www.atk.com}

    Their ViviSat document says:

    In Orbit Satellite Life Extension Services

    ViviSat is a new company dedicated to providing satellite operators with in-orbit satellite mission life extension and
    protection services. ViviSat’s service model delivers a game-changing advance in financial efficiency, operating
    flexibility and risk mitigation.

    ViviSat’s in-orbit life extension and protection services are flexible, scalable, capital-efficient and low-risk, and can add
    years to the revenue producing life of a satellite.
    ViviSat opens the door to the satellite servicing market.

    Capabilities

    The ViviSat Mission Extension Vehicle (MEV) is capable of docking with virtually all in-orbit geosynchronous satellites
    without interruption to operations. The MEV is designed to dock with the orbiting satellite, securely latch on to it,
    and serve as a supplementary propulsion system, enabling mission extension for satellites that have run out of
    maneuvering fuel yet still have functioning payloads.

    Services
    • Rendezvous and docking without interruption of satellite operation
    • Launch and mission protection services
    • Relocation of satellites to alternative orbital slots or to different orbits
    • De-orbiting satellites that are at the end of their lives
    • Rescue and re-orbiting of satellites stranded in incorrect orbital positions

    The earlier spy satellite that sprung to mind was the KH-13 that fell on Peru in 2007.

    Then there is this newest one this month.

    @Dopey

    Hilarious!

    😀

    @Blue Bear

    Interesting view.

    🙂

    To me though, it’s not about the fact that the media have been silenced, which I don’t doubt, but rather it’s what they’ve been silenced about which is so telling.

    – No mention of SAH’s intelligence links
    – No mention of SAH’s Iranian links
    – No mention of SAH’s nuclear research links
    – No speculation of Israeli involvement

    Each of these has been borne out by all TV, and all Radio, and all papers (except one which openly flaunted the voluntary DA-Notice system).

    This cannot be a coincidence. (It could be a conspiracy but I don’t believe that.)

    So… if these four subjects are prohibited, one has to ask “why?”

    Ergo, smoking gun.

    The idea that it’s reverse psychology was a long, desperate shot that was fired earlier today by some when there was really no other way out of the corner.

    🙂

    @Straw

    Ricki posted some while back that the odd orbit of the comet-satellite meant it had to be Israeli, and there was a significance because they were in direct competition with the USA for business (AFAIR) so would have been in some corporate US interest (Boeing???) to take it out. Anyway… I guess you could scroll back to see.

    I’m wondering if ATK’s ViviSat could push a satellite waaaaay out of orbit to produce a similar result?

    Feret…

    The wee ex pat curry night…which always over runs
    …but from The Mirror link

    “Gary, 52, became a close friend of Iraqi-born Saad after meeting him in 1993 when they worked for the same engineering firm”

    So where was that then I wonder ? 7 years before he went contracting I’d say. But where ?

  • CD

    I’m open to but yet to be convinced of the DA/D-Notice. Self-censorship might cover it. I would like to think that the notionally ‘quality’ papers, maybe one of the Sundays – would have an investigative reporter on the story. If no MSM outlet has someone working on it then that is scandalous, and evidence at least of nodding and winking from the powers that be. Interesting too that the Surrey officer in charge of the investigation is ex CIB3 (aka the untouchables)… to whom, it would seem, no muck has stuck.

  • James

    …and I have never believed in this “D” notice.
    BUT know, I cannot understand why there has been so much silence about these killings.

    Not even the “Newspapers”. No “one man pushing his way to find the truth”. Just nada.

  • kathy

    One thing for sure is that the Shia Iraqi dissidents in the UK were courted by the British government as useful tools to overthrow Saddam. They had lots of money chucked at them and cooperated with the government for their own ends. However, that was the secular Saddam but they may not be such willing tools to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran which many of them endorse. Also, the fact that Balsam is politically active in Iraq would suggest that they are quite a political family and staunchly Shia.

  • James

    AMS 1087?

    Nothing. I have checked the accs.

    I have found who set up the co (originally) and there are loads of AMS xxxx.

    There is nada there,

    The co director is the scooter shop boy. IO think…and it looks like it was a “flyer” to try to make money from taking pics of “above peoples houses”.

  • Ferret

    @CD

    I’m open to but yet to be convinced of the DA/D-Notice. Self-censorship might cover it.

    Fair punt… worth considering, I suppose. But for this to work across all the papers (bar one), all radio, and all TV, including Sky, BBC, and ITV, there’d have to be an almighty f-ing conspiracy, no?

    I mean… how the **** would that happen? And why would they all agree to all avoid the exact same 4 subjects? And how would the writer of the DA-notice be able to predict exactly what those 4 subjects would be, while the case was still young?That doesn’t make any sense, in my book.

    The DA-notice is the simplest theory that explains all the observed facts.

    I read this and thought HELLO!

    http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/feedback/20-09-2007/97410-american_spy_satellite-0/

    American spy satellite downed in Peru as US nuclear attack on Iran thwarted

    20.09.2007

    Russian Military Intelligence Analysts are reporting today that one of the United States most secretive spy satellites, the KH-13, targeting Iran was ‘destroyed in its orbit’ with its main power generator powered by the radioactive isotope Pu-238 surviving re-entry and crashing in a remote region of the South American Nation of Peru, and where hundreds are reported to be ill from radiation poisoning.

    Click here to see photos of the crash

    Western media reports are stating that the US spy satellite debris hitting Peru was caused by a meteor, but which, according to these reports, would be ‘impossible’ as the size of 30-meter crater, if caused by a meteorite, would have hit the ground with about as much energy as 1 kiloton tactical nuclear weapon, and which would have been recorded by the seismic stations around the World.

    Most astonishing about these reports, however, are that they state that it was the Americans themselves who destroyed their own spy satellite with the attack upon it being made by the United States Air Forces’ 30th Space Wing located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This incident further fuels the intrigue involving the United States War Leaders plans to attack Iran in their attempt to engulf the entire Middle East in Total War, but, against which, according to Russian Military Intelligence Analysts, a ‘high ranking and significant’ faction of the American Military Establishment is opposed to.

    This can be further evidenced by this past few weeks unprecedented announcement by the United States Air Force that 6 nuclear armed cruise missiles were removed, without authorization, from their secure holding facility, located in North Dakota at the Minot Air Force Base, and flown to Barksdale Air Force Base, located in Louisiana, where they were left ‘unattended’ for ‘nearly 10 hours’.

    It is interesting to note, too, that Barksdale Air Force Base is where the United States President was ‘ordered’ to report to on September 11, 2001 by the United States Air Force Strategic Command prior to his being ‘transferred’ under ‘armed escort’ to Offutt Air Force Base Strategic Command Center near Omaha, Nebraska, where the first ‘truce’ between Americas War Leaders and its Military Forces was ‘negotiated’ by billionaire Warren Buffett as intermediary between the rival power blocs.

    Though the rival American power blocs do seem to have maintained their uneasy truce, and which have, to date, prevented further attacks within the United States itself, these latest events, according to these reports, appear to show that this truce is now breaking down over threats and planning by the American War Leaders to attack Iran, and which Russia has warned would be ‘catastrophic’.

    What remains unknown to us, at this time, is what counter-planning the American War Leaders have in store for furthering their war aims against Iran as the United States Military have ‘clearly signaled’ that it will not allow nuclear weapons to be used, even to the extent of denying to their War Leaders one of their most prized spy satellites used to guide their nuclear cruise missiles to their intended Iranian targets.

    As the American peoples desire for war appears to be exhausted, and with new polls showing their President and Congress’ approval ratings at ‘record lows’, these reports paint a frightening picture of an American War Leadership determined to engulf the entire World in Total War in order to perpetuate their hegemony.

    Not since last century’s German Nazi and Japanese Empire’s has the World seen such naked aggression towards the capture of the Earth’s resources, and which caused the deaths of nearly 100 million people, but which the United States and its Western Allies now seem determined to see through to its brutal, and bloody end.

    @James

    The reason I ask…is because “Gary Aked” never went IR35 ?
    Why is that ?

    Yes, why do you think that is?

  • dopey

    Well, it’s nearly October, and the promised gun results…after a two week total silence on the case I’m not holding out much hope that we’ll hear about that.

  • Ferret

    @Drew

    HELLO indeed!

    🙂

    @CD

    Interesting too that the Surrey officer in charge of the investigation is ex CIB3 (aka the untouchables)… to whom, it would seem, no muck has stuck.

    You’re a poet and you don’t know it! What’s CIB3 (the untouchables)? Is this putting the investigation into the hands of those who can sanitise it?

  • Ferret

    @James

    So where was that then I wonder ? 7 years before he went contracting I’d say. But where ?

    Someone already posted the answer to this but I can’t remember what it was or who. Scroll back?

  • Blue_Bear

    I appreciate that if it was purely about Iraq or Pakistan then the media would be treating it differently.

    I just think maybe the government and the BBC are protecting themselves from being leant on by any lobby groups in the future whilst avoiding leaving an official trail. The BBC have a big presence in Manchester.

    Ciao for now.

  • Ferret

    @Kathy

    Also, the fact that Balsam is politically active in Iraq would suggest that they are quite a political family and staunchly Shia.

    Do you think that because Balsam is political that means that SAH & family were too? Or do you think it’s more like in British politics where one branch (or member) might be highly political, but the rest not?

  • Ferret

    @Kathy @Dopey

    😀

    Yeah, me neither.

    Except that I’m half expecting the “single weapon” result (or, one shooter two weapons, as they’ve already hinted at).

    I expect we’ll get scant clues on this one – perhaps ever.

    Look how long it took to solve JFK… 1963 to erm, well, 2010, shall we say (when did James Files come out?) That’s what, almost 50 years?

  • Ferret

    Think I’d better get some sleep now too – tomorrow is another day. Might just drop on over to Icke before hitting the sack.

    Thanks everyone for the rip-roaring time this evening – and then a good chat!
