The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

I was hunting for Zaid’s family in Kingston-upon-Thames per Daily Mail

family is in Walton, his flat is in Chessington but neither are Kingston or even very close

  • Felix

No discussion of Radio 4 prog??
@Straw I think that is an error from the Mail – the house shown is in Walton, but labelled Kingston. Chessington is in the borough of Kingston.

  • James

    Straw.

Good work…bt it doesn’t prove anything other than “he was there in 97”.

I have a rec guy in DXB ulling the cons and lookig for Saad’s work.
The only prof we have…is Saad is a mercy free “Bat Ard” who loves cash…and didn’t declreo HMRC…as far as I can see !

He’s in DXB, he’s dated his best mates ex, he’s withheld cash from his bro (with his wife deceased).

In DXB…it has caught up with him ! End of him !

    James, at 7:14pm on 28.9.12:

    Here you go:

    http://literature.britishcouncil.org/suhayl-saadi
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suhayl_Saadi

On one side, we are Persian-speaking Sadozai (a branch of Popalzai) Durrani Afghan Pashtun, on the other, Urdu-speaking North Indian (Agra) – both streams converging in Lahore. All part of the C19th ‘Great Game’, the mid-C20th Partition and so on. History is alive, history (which, in my view, also includes potential futures) is everything.

    And you…?

  • James

    A writer..an artist…a scholar.
    An educaion in “being you”

Please excuse my pad, fistly. In case there are mistakes.
    And secondly, a great pofile.

Me…have no great site like that….I am though.

    A pilot, a flyer is/was my passion.
Self taught and rose to the top.
Former Irishman…who flew “crops” in Townsville, Aus.
And ended up flyng The Royal Family in Abu Dhabi. (after a stint at Emirates) I guess I knew th right people…or they liked my “discretion”.

…and now, I fly private (for an owner.. was “rated” by the Royal Flight on GV’s GulfStream series 5)

So I no longer work “too much”….or as one canny “watcher” put it, “someone logged in from Washington”, that was indeed I !
I fly from Northolt…or “cheddar and Rehab” (Saudi jokes) across to …god knows where.

and hence I know how some things work !

  • James

    Saad refurbished BMW’s….

    Dopey yes.

He said that. I hve searched some “clubs” but nada.

The man has tasted…althogh if he was in the Volvo club…or the F355 cub (if he had a yellow one also) I Woud know him !

  • James

“what exactly have you found that makes you think Saad was in DXB?”

    He wasn’t there in 2011.
But (as Aked said) he had Co’s.
So I looked…where he met his wife.
Then I checked his acc’s (I have them here)
Then I asked a friend of mine still in DXB to check

  • James

“Self taught and rose to the top”.

Read that back to myself and laughed.
I mean “self Spnsored” through ratingsto twin engine…
    the got a scholarship.

    Self taught ! I have a DC3 parked out back ! I wish !
    I’d love !!!!!

James – wow! Thanks very much – that’s a fascinating and exciting story. An Irish flyer! I see you in old-style goggles and leathers, with socialist realist clouds framing your profile. I knew you were constantly ‘high’ in some sense. There is always a sadness, I think, close to airports, at the thought that one is not flying off into some new dawn.

People, to quote from an old Jefferson Airplane song, “Captain High, at your service”.

Jokes aside, though, James. I’m sure you’re a superb pilot.

What fascinating people one meets on the web!

  • James

    Suhayl…

    I fly… I doubt I am a great flyer t be honest.
I got lucky at Emirates…and Abu Dhabi…and then a guy that (I am one of 6) felt I could work for him.

Hence I did chuckle when you said about “Monte Carlo” !
Bee there…well ahotl near ! (I am rated for Nice I would add…athough they have noise laws there that are mad !)

But I only see the “airport hotels” !!!!!

  • Felix

    @anyone
Did Jack mention the dentist wife ever? (the postman says they were a normal family, yet wasn’t sure there was a wife – that isn’t normal. no mention of children either)

    Good point about Marilyn too.

Wonder who did the school (and perhaps nursery too) run?

Finally, why was Ikbal Al-Saffar’s address listed at the accountant’s??
Director check lists both Al-Hillis at 26 Oaken Lane, yet the same site for the same company, SHtech lists Al-Saffar chez Julian at 33 Foley Road. Why?
    http://company-director-check.co.uk/director/901903623

    also 915809170 and 907379577

BtW, still had no time to listen, but did the R4 prog mention BM?? Same old stuff??

Kingston Whs a serious racing outfit.

  • dopey

Strawberry, have a look at photos of Deena Al Hilli – is it her? the older one on the left)

And Felix, its not unusual to have an accountant’s address as a very small company’s registered address.
