The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

I found it interesting that he (Brett Martin) planted the seed of a nutter in the woods in the interview.
Didn’t someone say last night on here, the mentally ill brother (in law? nephew?) might be found dead in the woods with a 7.65mm Skorpion in his hand ……..

Why are Jen and Komodo talking to each other about stuff gone over time after time?

    Time after time?

    Most peculiar.

Jen claims to be a newbie, and we know Komodo is an old hand.

Komodo should know much better than to wade in with “hypotheses” when he hasn’t read the sodding thread, or the last thread, or the dozens of sites that have already answered the Jen/Komodo dissembling!

    LOL! 🙂

I get transponder = sqwawk, but why the alert , because it’s been turned off ?

  • anders7777

One explanation as to why the 7 year old got out of the car is that she was sitting in the front seat (the grandmother may have been originally in the front seat, but as they were parked there for a while, she got into the back to chat to the mother, and the seven year old got in the front) – and then she got out of the car to let Mollier in.

Komodo, I know you are a good guy, remember your name from yonks back and your posts at Chez Murray. I also use the Komodo Island in my novel, as a hint towards the Caymans, geddit? Then they can “have it it” – as it were.

Being on the case for several days, I’m sure you will grok that older hands on the case might find it a tad disheartening to have to deal with elementary questions that have been answered ad infinitum.

That is not to say their is no room for HARD DATA, or even a simple one line question, but that does not seem to apply in Chez TwiliLightZone here, because what we have is a veritable 4-4-2 of transparent shills from God know’s where, doing the biz.

    Badly. But in multisperm mode.

    Amberleaf:
If you watch the video http://www .bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19587311 and use some NLP eye cues (I’m new to that) it seems he was indeed at the scene.

    =====
    http:// jishnuks.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/neuro-linguistic-programming-eye-accessing-cues/

  • anders7777

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a set of techniques and beliefs that adherents use primarily as an approach to psychotherapy, healing, communication and personal development. NLP methods include the use of visualization, affirmations, guided fantasy, ritual, trance states, hypnosis, and specific body language such as posture and eye movements.
NLP was proposed in 1973 by Richard Bandler and John Grinder as a set of models and principles to describe the relationship between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic, both verbal and non-verbal) and how their interaction might be organized (programming) to affect an individual’s mind, body and behavior. It is described by the original developers as “therapeutic magic” and “the study of the structure of subjective experience” . It is predicated upon the assumption that all behaviours have a practically determinable structure.
    Eye Accessing Cues
We experience the world outside our bodies through our senses (VAKOG): vision, sound (auditory), touch (kinesthetic), taste (gustatory) and smell (olfactory). We also have the capacity to recreate ‘models’ of our sensory information, that is, we can think in pictures and words and mentally recreate our experience of, or get a sense of an imagined, physical sensation. In addition to this, we feel emotions.
Now take a moment to consider the following:
What was the colour of a favourite toy, or item of clothing, from your childhood.
Remembering a distinctive sound from your past, perhaps a whistle or a school bell. How clear is it?
What do you think of first when you remember a particularly happy event or emotion that you have experienced?
How does feel to relax in a warm bath or shower?
What would your name look like in colored neon lights above your front door?
How would your telephone sound if it were ringing underwater?
Each of the questions above causes you to access a memory or to mentally construct an experience. As you relax and run through the questions again. What do you notice, if anything, about the movement of your eyes?
Ask a friend the same questions, making sure that you are looking at his/her eyes as you are asking. What do you notice specifically about your friend’s eye movements?
The effect that you might be noticing is referred to in neurological literature as ‘lateral eye-movement’. NLP uses the phenomenon to help recognise patterns of thinking and primary processing systems (whether people use vision, sound or kinesthetic to trigger their thinking – Rep systems).
This information can be useful in gaining rapport and achieving more effective communication The diagram overleaf shows the usual meanings attached to lateral eye movements.
    What you can notice
These are the usual meanings of lateral eye movement – the illustrations assume that you are facing the other person (so that their left is your right).
Up and to the left usually means that a person is remembering something visually – get the picture?
Up and to the right usually means that a person is imagining (constructing) something visually. Can you just imagine that!.
Left side (horizontal) usually means a remembered sound – does that ring a bell?.
Right side (horizontal) usually means an imagined (constructed) sound (I imagine that message should start become loud and clear to you now)..
Down right (which is down right obvious!) usually means that a person is accessing a bodily feeling or emotion – are you getting to grips with this idea now?
Down left usually means that a person is accessing internal dialogue. This is often a repeated phrase such as “I should know better!” , “Yes! Done it again”, “Told you so”, etc., that comes up time-and-time again in; typically at times of stress or elation.

Although the patterns above are those most commonly found, there are exceptions. Some people have the patterns reversed (typical in, but not exclusive to, many left-handed people), others have a ‘mixture’. There are also some cultures where this pattern is not the norm. Bearing in mind the NLP presupposition that ‘Everyone lives in their own unique model of the world’, you might encounter different patterns.
Learning to read eye-accessing cues will not make you a mind reader but will give you a clue to the way the other person is thinking. A skilled NLP practitioner will notice the sequencing of eye patterns.
For example, before answering a question someone might always follow the pattern ‘up left, across right, down right’. This suggests that they are remembering a picture, putting together some sound or words, and checking that the idea feels OK. By communicating ideas in the same sequence you will probably gain strong rapport with this person.

    CANADAman: again, (wink )

I’ll ask the question again, rephrased:

Did Sylvain Mollier take identification when he left his home on the day of the murders? If so, what was that ID: driver’s licence, workplace ID, etc.? What ID, if any, was found on his person when he was discovered at the crime scene?

Perhaps this is something only his wife would know. Sorry, OP, I couldn’t find this information at your link. What I did see was that the French authorities were able to identify him from the photo his wife brought in. I wonder why they didn’t have her identify him in person at the morgue.

I don’t know if French driver’s licences are microchipped. I don’t know if they use facial recognition technology. I do believe it is likely that if Sylvain Mollier normally rode his bike to work, he may have absent-mindedly left his work ID in his riding gear, even though he was on parental leave. Security at a place like Cezus Ugine surely would be tight, and might include RFID. There is a worldwide shortage of zirconium, which has driven prices higher in recent years. There is also the matter of zirconium of a certain grade being restricted for sale to certain countries.

Food for thought, anyways. (Anders – 🙂 )

    =====

One article in the French press expressed concern about the length of time it was taking to return the bodies of the Chevaline murder victims, including Sylvan Mollier, to their families. I wonder why, when everyone knows that autopsies and investigations take some time? Then it occurred to me: what if the families wanted to bury their dead before sundown? Did this apply to Sylvain Mollier, too?

Was Sylvain Mollier’s father, who died after the murders, buried before sundown?

Has anyone who is familiar with newspapers in the area seen any obituaries, and were photos published with them? Sometimes funeral homes publish obits on their own websites, which are not seen in the newspapers.

    =====

Surely no one would know better than Saad al-Hilli that satellites can be used to track individuals. He would also know that this process would be easier with a tracking device attached to his vehicle, or him. If he had a GPS system in his vehicle, or one of those car manufacturer customer assistance devices, it would not be necessary for the GPS or subscription to be activated in order to locate him.

We do know that the Swedish occupant of al-Hilli’s vehicle had a Swedish passport. What kind of technology is embedded in European passports?

So how is it possible that he would think he could go to a rendezvous in the woods without anyone knowing?

Rambling on to myself. (Anders – 🙂 )

    =====

It seems that the location of the murders could have been in a cellphone or “mobile” blackout area. If the ex-RAF was unable to use his phone to call for assistance, that may be the case.

If so, does this enter the equation as an important piece of the puzzle? Did Saad al-Hilli choose this location to park his vehicle because he knew his cellphone wouldn’t work there, so he could not be tracked to a precise location? Two mobile phones were reportedly found in the al-Hilli vehicle.

Were Saad al-Hilli’s short excursions from the campground expressly for this purpose: to locate a cellphone dead zone in the mountainous region?

One thing is certain: Saad al-Hilli was an intelligent man who knew a thing or two about satellites.
