My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.
Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.
In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.
My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?
Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:
From Janesmith101
All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police
Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.
Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.
What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?
As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.
Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.
An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.
I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.
I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.
Let’s keep it civil, folks.
Here’s a question about the bikes – do we know if the al Hilli family had brought bicycles on holiday with them, and if so are they all accounted for? There don’t appear to be any in the photographs. I’m wondering if the French or RAF cyclist happened to conveniently find it in their possession at the murder scene.
Anon,
We don’t know exactly what he worked on. He’s been described as a mechanical engineer, an aerospace engineer, an aeronautics engineer. One paper reports that police also say Al-Hilli was working on a secret contract for a European defense firm that specializes in satellite mapping.
It seems to me there’s deliberate confusion, which in turn suggests that what he was really doing is being hidden.
If it’s true he was working on satellite mapping then he may have had knowledge of lasers.
As far as I can see he would have had no more knowledge about SILEX than I can get with Google. It seems he never worked on anything remotely close to SILEX and certainly not at RAL
OI dont have the link…
Some dude on here keeps “cutting and pasting” everything “Anders you know who you are…did i just say his name) and is clearly irrelevant.
Bajer is providing good questions and thoughts.
Suhayl: ‘Anders’ is a pretty common name, I used to work with such a fellow who could be a bit temperamental too 😉
fwiw to anyone – Suhayl (despite not having such a common name) is no spook or troll, I’d put money on that, and I don’t even gamble. I certainly don’t regard the blog host Mr. Murray as suspect in his motives either – he’s brutally up front about what he does and thinks, and is most definitely no establishment stooge.
…and whoever “Anderson” is….. (I assume “Anders”, stop being rude.
I actually take exception to being called what you said….and who like to meet up one to to “chat about it”
P.S. I “pinged” you’re IP (smiley face if I could find the same !)
Anders
I think you’ve revealed your true colours because we’re getting nearer to the truth of the matter.
I said disprove and not by taking the testimony of my suspect. Then we can move on.
Less questions remain and many are solved. But we only have a skeleton of facts.
1 shooter helped me believe it more.
Was there a mountain bike on the roof? Were there 2 men in the front of the car when they passed the BMW? Are my questions I wish I could answer.
My bet is Le Legion d’Etranger – HQ just down the road, a history of utter brutality in dealing with arabs (tobacco pouches made from women’s breasts!) and, personnel today mostly from Eastern Europe who often abscond and re-enlist under different identities. Nobody save a military intelligence gatherer has the pathology to torture a child in front of its parent for information.
As to retired RAF man? We all know that SAS never really retire. Nor do MI6 agents seconded from the RAF. He’s also the only “witness” to the “Green 4×4 speeding away”.
Al Jazeera included a phrase, in parentheses, in their website report: “….. “who just happened to be cycling in the area”….” I don’t think that the unnecessary addition of parentheses is accidental http://www.aljazeera.com/news/europe/2012/09/2012965316547370.html

“Suhayl: ‘Anders’ is a pretty common name, I used to work with such a fellow who could be a bit temperamental too ”
I agree. But this “Anderson” dude is starting to hack me off.
You can swear on “the web”, I chose not to.
He seems to like it !
One phrase….
“SCHOOL YARD BULLY” springs to mind.
I am 6’4 …and an ex (am now 35) an Rugby League prop (professional game)…so my joy is meeting him…one day. I hope. I pray. I wish.
“Le Legion d’Etranger”
Could be …but why ???
There is much more money on offer for the 2e Regiment of Parahute over in “Iraqistanshire”.
Not money then….and leave restrictions means that they’ll not be able to cross borders
It’s cool, people. No worries, Anders7777, it’s cool, man. Thanks Glenn.
Anon, that Harvard link isn’t broken. Copy and paste the whole link. It simply doesn’t appear as a clickable link. It’s because of the dots that are part of the link. Simply copy and paste that link into your browser but don’t click it in the forum because that link isn’t completed then.
Suhayl…
You state a good thing…and part of a debate….
And that idiot comes back with “suspious” !
Then
“It’s cool, people. No worries, Anders7777, it’s cool, man. Thanks Glenn.
Jeez ! Holy Mother of God ! What is it !
Lets get to the fact of what we (the we) can come up with…and f***ing broadside this tit “77777”.
Sorry, this is only what my previous comment should have said:

Just trying to calm things, James. It can get a bit hothouse, this medium, y’know? People misinterpret and so on. I do appreciate your support.
Okay….
Lets go to basics.
Foget “who” (we can get to that) and no B*sh*t.
Who wants to post “what happened”, then we can work back from there.
I have my own idea’s…”timeline” nut does someone want to go first ?
If he had any knowledge of something called SILEX it was more likely to be “Semiconductor-laser Intersatellite Link EXperiment”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artemis_%28satellite%29
Were the occupants of the car conscious before being shot? Gas pipe from the exhaust to kno them all out. Would explain ease of targeting each victims nd no attempts to escape.
The easy thing is to believe there is some cover up as otherwise if such sequence of events can take place we should all be scared.
Suhayl…you have sense. You go first ?
Who, what, “where”, when, why…. and support it (briefly).
Then lets get everyones idea
After 2 days they changed from 1 campsite to another only a couple of hundred yards apart.
The father left the site in his car alone four or five times each day. He went out for 20 or 30 minutes each time. Doing what?
Although they did not see anyone visit the family they said they noticed an “unusual” man dressed in a smart jacket visiting the campsite at the time the Hillis were there. They said that he appeared “to come from the Balkans”.
http://www.theprovince.com/news/Briton+acted+strangely+days+before+killings/7219863/story.html
Quote Zak…”each victims nd no attempts to escape”.
Could be…but there was an attempt to escape.
The pics show the vrhicle up against a bank. with *at least one rear wheel spinning (prob slowly).
Anon:
I assumed they had been shot at. there are unaccounted for bullets, and really no sign that those tyres were tested hard enough on that layby to burst them.I have no idea what pro hitmen need to do. The car does have dust around the wheels , indicating how dry it is up there but looks nicely parked off the road and ready to drive off.BMW’s are normally rear wheel drive so disabling the back wheels would be enough. Could’ve still moved if the driver was able/needed to.
According to eye witnesses there was a white car or a 4 wheel drive travelling at high speeds away from the scene. But where ??, most airports would be at least an hour away. The italian and Swiss borders are a couple of hours away.
Many spooks and an anonymous RAF hero at the scene very quickly. MSM trying to tell us it’s a case of family jealousy.Nothing suspicious here !
James, please see 8:20pm, 10th Sept 2012 – I did already: MOSSAD, something to do with arms and Iran. We simply don’t know enough to be sure, of course. It’s anyone’s guess right now. Even Craig doesn’t know. The whole thing’s deeply fishy (understatement).
Bluebird,
Ok I have checked that link and I don’t see anything connected with the SILEX process. No LASERs for a start. They are completely different technologies. Where do you see the connection?
Okay…Strawberry, whats that !
Smart jacket, man from the Balkans, campsite !!!
Youre like the Daily Mail man !
No one can change campsites ! Is this true !
What are “YOUR” thoughts, then we may get somewhere.
All this….

James, there is no rush. Nobody here is expecting to solve this thing tonight. Or tomorrow.
Or any time at all, especially if the information dries up – as it will.
@james
Occam’s Razor !
And Holmes said “disregard the impossible…etc”
And the judge says “facts please” !
There is an old saying where I come from, I like to keep grounded,
“All mouth and trousers”…
James, do please add some hard data, and please stop the posturing.
It is fooling no-one.
On another note, some very VERY sharp SLEUTHS at James’ Alma Mater have embarrasses the twat:
Here is some addition information I have researched, i throw it into the mix as a matter of course but hopefully it may be useful too.
Location of the car park is as follows:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=&hl=…near=&t=h&z=17
Location of the witness’s (Sylvie Lecouer) house is as follows:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&…13672&t=h&z=17
This is close to the hair-pin bend coming down from the hill where she says the white car sped past almost out of control. The Google streetview footgae was sadly taken during teh snowy season but may be useful.
if we assume that this is at or around the location where Sylvie observed the white car then it would suggest that the distance betwwen that alleged sighting and the car-park is 4.3km, approx 9 mins driving normally, probably under half that driving at speed.
here is the quickest route between then two:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=…h&mra=ltm&z=13
I have done some modeliing using elevation data and available cellular coverage data – I’ll perhaps post that later on.
Finally I leave you with this – Suppressed vz61 (aka skorpion) 7.65mm with folding stock – A relativley common weapon and a candidate for this incident perhaps seen here in semi but capable of full auto.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJixsX5sVLo&lr=1
Doing what -arranging to meet Sylvain / maybe just business back in England
Anon, CERN doesn’t have anything to do with satellites. Hilli wasn’t at CERN, but hicheur was there. A particle accelerator (daily mirror) isn’t a satellite either.
Read the RAF secret service website. Satellite technologist is used as a backup civilian job for RAF agents quite often. RAL is officially a satellite technology centre, however they’re also secretly dealing with nuclear military science.
Suhayl…. agree completely
Thats why we are here….so go on, roll the dice.
Collected “info”, blaming Mossad is not enough, Lets put things together (even if “not true”).
Mine is….
Hilli is the “lure”.
And a great one. Satelites, ex Iraqi *and not from a “small” time family.
Mollier the “fish”.
…and the “bait” looks great (Al Hissi).
“ONE” ex RAF guy is “coming up”.
But it doesnt happen as it should.
The car archs to escape….a gun is firing.
And this is another odd point (All SAS people are RTU when anything happens…and that’s wear it sticks!)
Anyone is “Coldstream Guards” if it goes wrong, not “22 SAS, G Sqd”
Thats the problem !!!
Now ask why I think so ?
