I was trying to come up with a witty and apposite acronym for BBC to describe what I have just seen on TV, but all I could manage was Beyond Belief Cunts.
Watching BBC World News here in Accra, I have just seen forty minutes of intense and non-stop Israeli propaganda. A live press conference by Netanyahu and Ehud Barak followed by a long, long interview with Mark Regev in which the most searching BBC question could fairly be paraphrased as “How can you be certain that those dastardly Palestinians will not break the ceasefire and start firing rockets again?”
No attempt whatsoever to give a Palestinian a chance to put over their viewpoint. Now fifty minutes of solid coverage around the ceasefire without a single Palestinian view or pro-Palestinian or pro-peace view. And in that entire fifty minutes not one mention of Palestinian dead.
Beyond Belief Cunts. Actually, it’s not a bad effort.

The problem with the BBC is we are forced to pay the gross salaries and absurd pension deals and job for life unreality they enjoy , whilst they serve up this candy floss, and the staff and the slebs on the payroll by devious means – limited companies to receive their salaries and fees – and other elaborate scams pay little or nothing in tax. In most cases with pre-payment cards and so on most people are paying now in advance for next years TV licenses ending in 2014. The technology exists to limit their output to just those daft enough and willing to pay for it, a simple inexpensive in-line box about the size of ten cigs is about all that would be required. It is mostly older people too, who have paid like complete mugs for all of their adult lives who are the most robbed and justly aggrieved; exemption at age 75 if they make such old bones hardly compensates. The constant repeats too rack up re-run payments for the same old faces or their brood and heirs, laughing all the way to the bank, who entered the ‘profession’ not through talent but through privilege and nepotism and who’ve done nothing useful, productive or creative since Worker’s Playtime. In areas where analogue broadcasting was switched off, many have nothing with any digital tuner, can receive only static but still set aside part of a meagre pension for a TV Licence out of fear and shame. They pay for services such as high-definition, internet streaming and the foreign language services and the rest of the bloated monster the BBC has become, of which they cannot conceive, never mind receive.
Some very uncivil disobedience is called for and the BBC cut down to size. Let Israel pay for it of recycled American’s tax dollar’s and the Palestinian’s stolen wealth as it serves only as a propaganda arm of the fascistic IDF, he who calls the tune should pay the piper.

And they have the right to resist genocide just as the people in the Warsaw ghetto had the right to resist genocide.
The Hamas rocket fire that supposedly provided the excuse for this round of accelerated genocide was the equivalent of some Chinese made rockets used at County bonfire night displays. These fireworks are nothing compared to the kind of white phosphorous, the huge bombs, the massive ammunitions that are being used against civilians intentionally in Gaza and there is absolutely no argument that this is being done to try to stop rocket fire.

I think people are being a little harsh with Mark Regev. He’s the leading stand up comedian for Israel, totally straight faced, delivers a hilarious performance. You just have to appreciate his nuanced style and ability to slip sarcasm and satire in right under the radar. Humour drier than a dead dingo’s donger. I’ve seen him at the Melbourne comedy festival – great show.
I noticed, Jemand, Regev was visibly shaken delivering a reply to criticism on RT. Obviously his nuanced style and ability supports his job is to obfuscate public perception of Israel’s genocidal acts.
Denying that Israel is committing war crimes and frequently in breach of International law is not a job for anyone without the thick skin of a komodo. The ability to portray Palestinian civilians and children as “terrorists”, responsible for their own deaths on a regular basis, suggests to me that he might have been re-programmed to over-ride the normal human emotions of horror, sadness and guilt.
