Ms Mensch is ever so upset and exercised about Miliband D resigning to go to NY to pick up loads more shekels. She will be able to link up with him and show the new arrivals the ropes. Wonder if the Zionist supporting ex DG of the BBC has settled in.

    Louise Mensch ‏@LouiseMensch 8h
I admired Tony Blair then and I admire him now. It is a loss for all centrists that David Miliband feels he has to resign as Lab MP.

    Louise Mensch ‏@LouiseMensch 8h
The analysis will reopen the wounds- Ed standing against his own brother- who does that? Lab members/MPs for David- trumped by Unions for Edmore

    Louise Mensch ‏@LouiseMensch 8h
Really it was a pretty low thing to do to stand against your own brother and his lifelong dream. Cruel, unkind, says bad things on character

    Louise Mensch ‏@LouiseMensch 8h
A loss for Parliament in David Miliband’s resignation. The leader Labour members and MPs wanted and voted for.

She just can’t help it. I came across a cringeworthy video the other day of her in close up demonstrating how she puts on her make up and does her hair. She has a new website called Unfashionista. http://unfashionistas.com/1031331 Totally self obsessed with high level of chutzpah.

I wonder what Craig’s view of David Milliband’s new venture is.

Anyway, Craig, i hope you’re health is holding up.

Please be very careful with this cold spell–the cold can really drive your blood pressure up, so keep it well monitored and adjust your medication accordingly.

If you can look at the whole episode in light of an opportunity to take your health to another level, holistically speaking, that would be the right approach.

As you already know, you need to be particularly careful with your diet. In Ayurveda terms you would likely classify as predominantly ‘pitta’ (fire) constitution. Cut the chase and take some guidance from this food table here (follow the guidelines in the ‘pitta’ column:
    http://ayurveda.com/pdf/food-guidelines.pdf
(Point is to eat clean and fresh foods and to concentrate on those foods that are positive for YOUR constitution.)

If you’re intrigued, check out this online resource here to get a better understanding of the process of disease and how Ayurveda works: http://ayurveda.com/online_resource/index.html

Get some daily exercise and the heart muscle pumping. Don’t complicate it: man was made to walk. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes. Don’t overdo it, but build up your capacity to up to 45 mins of brisk walking (4 miles an hour). Swimming is great too, if you’re a long-distance swimmer. Consistency is important and will help you shed the few extra pounds, sustainably, when combined with the right diet. Don’t overdo it either or you will tire yourself out. Ayurveda suggests you exercise to half your ‘overall’ capacity. The first half releases energy (and negativity), the second half uses it up.

Finally sleep. The old adage, an hour of sleep before midnight, is worth two after–it works. Sleep needs to be attuned to nature and therefore sleep timings become important and impact the QUALITY of one’s sleep. If you carry a sleep deficit, this will surely have a negative impact.

One last word: Find 20-30 minutes of sheer silence every day, sitting in a comfortable position. There’s no need for so-called meditation, etc.

    Hope this helps. Stay light!

I kniw what you mean Mary, compassion and care are truly wonderful and for the majority most prevalent.
if the state had better control and management our wealth and health could be so much improved.

From cradle to the grave social manipulation, education and opportunity being paramount im our quest for an improved society.

Egalitarianism is fine when the consensus of the masses is for benefit of the kindred state and is harmonious with the enviroment presently and in the future both of which paramount the future being the pinnacle.

Andrew Percy MP: Israel is a country which is misunderstood and misrepresented.

What images come to mind when people think about the state of Israel? Israeli oppressors shooting at cherub faced Palestinians? Suicide bombings and exploded buses? Or maybe indifference reigns; why should we care about this faraway place that has no real bearing on our daily lives? Perhaps it is all of the above.

I was indifferent about Israel and the Middle East. However, last year when I visited Israel and the Palestinian territories for the first time, I was left with a very different impression of the place: Israel is a country misunderstood and misrepresented. Looking across the border with Lebanon and peering at Hizbullah strongholds, no more than 100 yards away from where I was standing, underlined the significance of Israel’s strategic frailty in the face of constant threat.

Touring the security barrier I was surprised to hear that the architect of the barrier had appeared before the Israeli Supreme Court on countless occasions to defend his decisions regarding the route of the barrier. On occasion, when his planned route was ruled illegal, the barrier was removed and re-built according to the judgement. I also learnt that as a country with sparse natural resources Israel has had to develop alternative methods of productivity. The country leads the way in hi-tech, green and agri-techniques as well as in scientific development.

My travels around Israel surprised me completely. The people were full of get up and go, eager to live peacefully in the region; the towns and cities were energetic and cosmopolitan; and the deliverance of democracy never failed to impress upon me. So why is there such a discrepancy between what I experienced and public perception back in the UK? When was the last time you heard a good news story emanating from Israel on your TV screens or in the newspapers? And why has Israel become defined simply by its inability to solve the conflict when it is so much more than that?

I raised these questions when I returned to Israel again last week with colleagues from the UK and Australia for a dialogue with Israeli and Palestinian politicians, journalists, academics and commentators. This serious problem is not being effectively addressed and Israel’s future is being undermined by its inability to promote itself both accurately and attractively. As an MP, I witness this difference between perception and reality, on a regular basis in the House of Commons. From Backbenchers through to Government Ministers and Shadow Ministers, colleagues suffer from a serial case of apathy where Israel is concerned. Seemingly no positive impression of the place has been determined in people’s minds.

Israel has consistently perceived military might as the number one way to protect and defend the state. Although an important factor, this cannot be the only focus. The country’s re-branding is now an issue of serious strategic importance. Israel must accept that engaging their critics, isolating and correcting their propaganda and successfully rebalancing the debate must be a priority in order to protect their future. All of us who see Israel as more than a conflict zone ought to play our part in this important task.

My challenge to anybody who feels strongly on Israel is to get on a plane and go and see the place for yourself. Visit Tel Aviv where you will see a modern liberal western society where most people are just getting on with their lives in peace. Chat to Israelis or to their politicians and you will be reminded that this is the only true democracy in the Middle East where political debate is passionate, diverse and vibrant. More vibrant than our own democracy perhaps. That is the true Israel, the real Israel.

Crushing defeat for Israel lobby as anti-boycott litigation fails in UK

    Tue, 03/26/2013 – 22:35

A British judge comprehensively dismissed a high-profile legal attack on the University and College Union, it emerged on Monday. The case was brought after democratic union bodies discussed boycotts of Israel.

An Employment Tribunal ruled the claim of “institutional anti-Semitism,” brought by union member and Academic Friends of Israel director Ronnie Fraser, was dismissed on all counts.

The ruling is a dramatic and comprehensive defeat for the Israeli “lawfare” strategy, and may even have backfired for its proponents who today descended into acrimonious internal back-biting.

No need to transport food you can grow it where it’s needed. Electricity is expensive and inefficient to transport and can not be stored efficiently or in any significant amounts.

You are being conned by the fossil fuelers.

OT?: Someone called Guccifer has been hacking Colin Powell’s email accounts. Our Dear leader Mk2 aka T Bliar is involved. RT has some details.

“Attending the elusive Bohemian Grove retreat should be a priority for former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, News Corp executive Andrew Knight allegedly writes in an email to US Gen. Colin Powell obtained by RT.”

“Might you be able gently/firmly to point out to Tony that you rank the Bohemia Middle Weekend in your diary before allowing any other duties to get in the way?!” writes Knight, a journalist who currently serves as a director of billionaire Rupert Murdoch’s multinational News Corp, in the latest leaked emails. “Lack of exposure suggests that Tony has not yet got his priorities straight.”

Powell appears to use Farcebook and AOL to communicate with his BBs. Presumably the other Masters of the Universe do the same. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

And thank you for your reply as well – it’s good to be able to have a reasoned and polite exchange of points of view.

I have no objection to you comparing Mary’s and my own takes on the question, but the comparison is perhaps made difficult if you accept what Mary implies about my attitude as being accurate. I don’t think my attitude, as I tried to sketch it out, is one of claiming that everything RT and Press TV produce is totally biased and untrustworthy: I’m just sceptical of a tendency which I believe exists, at least amoung many of the Eminences (you may be different), to take everything they say as gospel because it reinforces beliefs that those Eminences themselves hold. The probleml – if it is a problem – is perhaps less with RT and Press TV and more with the mindset of those who keep referring to them with such approval and suspension of disbelief.

Last night was the public’s turn to voice their opinions on Cory Wheelabrators plans to build an incinerator in Kings Lynn.

We heard that the 2.5 particulars are excempt from monitoring, but nobody said why. If they are good for us show us the evidence, an opponent said. We heard of Clenchwarton High students who conducted a survey amongst their fellow pupils, some 96% of the next generation, off course not allow to vote, will ensure that NVDA is going to be carried out not only by those 65.000 who objected to these backward plans.

We heard of plenty of alternatives, Duratrust
    http://www.lynnnews.co.uk/news/latest-news/incinerator-incinerator-rival-unveiled-1-3952938
APP Gasplasma in conjunction with Landfill mining, the most modern process which could even break into the Chinese market.
    http://www.advancedplasmapower.com/solutions/process-overview/
A gasplasma pilot plant in Swindon run by APP shows that the initial results are even better than expected.
    http://www.elfm.eu/uploads/elfm/file_dc1e4bf9-56dd-447c-827b-4312698ba59e.pdf

These modern plants deal with all waste, whether its landfill or municipal, there are no emissions compared with incineration and you end up with clean marketable products.

Kings Lynn inquiry heard that the ‘waste belongs to us’, nobody else, and we can choose who to give it to after NCC reneged on their public mandated waste plan to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Kings Lynn also heard that we need a new national waste strategy that should encourage the uptake of recyled materials by industry bys establishing goals and targets to achieve, with fines for not reaching the target providing the rate relief for those companies who over achieve the targets and use more recycled materials than required.

Its called a circular resource economy and its inevitable that we have to deal with the long term risks from Landfill. Enhanced landfill mining and in conjunction with MRF and gasplasma is the future, we already know it works, so why is Eric Piccles not moving to stop the building of incinerators? we already have an overcapacity in the EU, incinerators are mothballed and shut down.

Kings Lynn also heard that this new revenue streams would be 6 to 10 billion and would provide 5 times more jobs than an incinerator would and that it would be 40 million cheaper to recycle.

Who did not hear this news is the Norfolk public, because Nigel Pickover, the new editor of this rag, an anti Levinson character, is trying his best to not say what our Tory’s are planning, or what the real facts are on this issue.

Finally the healthy walking Villager alluded to being very good for one’s health. Plenty of opportunity nationally, this afternoon, cold and brisk, but there are nomination forms to be filled out and leaflets to be delivered…..:)

President Assad has asked BRICS leaders to pressure UKUSIs to cease financing, arming an sheltering armed groups fighting government forces in Syria, this as part of a comprehensive political program.

“Camila Asano of Brazil’s Conectas says it is “a responsibility” for leaders of a BRICS summit starting Tuesday in South Africa to act to protect Syrian civilians.

Human Rights Watch director Jan Egeland wrote separately that it is “time for BRICS to stop sitting on the fence over Syria’s atrocities.”

BRICS countries oppose foreign intervention in Syria and accuse the West of forcing regime change. Russia, China and South Africa have vetoed U.N. Security Council resolutions on Syria.

The U.N. estimates some 70,000 people have been killed since Syria’s civil war began with peaceful protests two years ago.”

  • resident dissident

BRICS countries oppose foreign intervention in Syria – that is apart from Russia which has intervened rather a lot. Without their intervention the Syrian monarchy would have fallen many years ago.

  • The CE

So Mary implores us to, “Look at all the countries where the IRC has its fingers in the pies.”

    Forgetting for a moment the dismissive and irrational attitude towards an organisation with 75 years of history in helping refugees, I did;

    Burundi
    Central African Republic
    Chad
    Democratic Republic of Congo
    Ethiopia
    Ivory Coast
    Kenya
    Liberia
    Rwanda
    Sierra Leone
    Somalia
    South Sudan
    Tanzania
    Uganda
    Zimbabwe
    Mali
    Afghanistan
    Myanmar
    Northern Caucasus
    Pakistan
    Thailand
    Haiti
    Syria
    Iraq
    Jordan
    Lebanon
    Poland

What exactly am I meant to discern from this list Mary? Or do you have a suitably irrelevant smear ready for every country the IRC operates.

  • Villager

Are the IRC the self-same suspects who go around the world lighting fires, and then wanting to come pick up some of the pieces?

Is it true that the ‘Syrian monarchy’ would’ve fallen “years” ago without the intervention of the Russians? Is the CIA getting that out-of-practice?

Some of the comments here get dumb and dumber.

Now, is the whole nine yards of the Troika in assembly? Achtung!

  • The CE

    Dare I say it, it may be time to think the unthinkable, unpalatable, thought that does not conform to the overly simplistic world view of many on here;

David Miliband might just be a half-decent guy who has decided to eschew more lucrative opportunities in the private sector to lead the efforts of the, despite Mary’s smears, historic and vital work of the IRC.
