“And by the way, thank you to whoever ( a moderator?) deleted a post of mibe from this morning stating that I was not Habbabkuk Version 2. Very democratic.”

Nobody’s deleted anything you Old Fart. Are you now losing your marbles also?

You may also have noticed that I criticised my fellow Muslims equally severely for disobeying the shari’ah and spying on their fellow Muslims. That was also a religious comment which November tried to twist into racism. I know that God in His mercy put blinkers on the atheists so that they could not see the destiny of hell that chases them like cartwheels from behind.

So please enjoy your incapacity to comprehend the religious to the full. Please ban what you don’t understand and makes you feel uncomfortable if you wish. Life without religion is as entirely incomprehensible to me as it is life with religion is completely incomprehensible to you. Lakum deenikum waliyadeen/To you your religion and to me mine.

You go into a Scots pub and they tell you to slow down. They don’t understand your dialect and you don’t understand theirs. Maybe you should slow down a bit before accusing people of being racist. I know you don’t understand what I’m saying but that doesn’t mean you can order me out the door. Does it, pal?

Another gem from our ex-Luftwaffe man :

“The IRC, the International red cross, has a lot to answer for their reticence to open their 2 world war archive in Geneva.”

The International Red Cross stands thus condemned for taking its time to open an archive.

Against that heinous crime, its good work over 150 years or so counts for nothing as far as the Red Baron is concerned.

And as for the other IRC – cast it down into the flames of hell because they….”interfere”. Oh, the horror, the horror!

I wish a brain surgeon would interfere with what passes for a brain in Nevermind’s head, but perhaps the effects of oxygen starvation are irreversible.

Yes, congratulations to Dreoilin for flushing out Saint Mary by providing an expression used by the Saintly One after she claimed that she was innocent of all obscenity.

I was going to provide some quotes from her to disprove her squeals that she is in no way anti-Jewish, but having read what she posted today about Michelle Obama lighting a candle I think I can spare myself the task.

    ********

Nearly forgot! The Scourge, have you managed to read through all those posts I was kind enought to flag for you (you know, about Chavez having been killed rather than dying a natural death)?

What nonsense from some here today. I think that I have poked at a wasps’ nest with a stick marked with the names of IRC and Miliband and the wasps have all angrily flown out to attack. If they are not careful they will self destroy anyway. Wasps only live for a short time, the queen for a year, the worker females 22 days and the male drones six weeks.

In the meantime, I have been watching a documentary on a Hindu wedding and a Jewish wedding, both long winded and full of symbolism. There was a lot of palaver for the latter which was Kosher. Ovens were even brought in specially to replace the hotel’s. I felt sorry for the bride’s father for all the extras and supernumeraries he would be having to fork out for.

Ref the Obama’s Passover ceremony, I was not aware that they are a Jewish family. I can’t see any reference to Judaism here.

‘His mother was raised by non-practicing Christians; his father was raised a Muslim but was an atheist by the time he had married Obama’s mother. Obama’s step-father was also Muslim, but of an eclectic kind who could make room for animist and Hindu beliefs. Neither Obama nor his mother were ever atheists, but she raised him in a relatively secular household where he learned about religion.

In his book The Audacity of Hope, Barack Obama writes:

I was not raised in a religious household. For my mother, organized religion too often dressed up closed-mindedness in the garb of piety, cruelty and oppression in the cloak of righteousness. However, in her mind, a working knowledge of the world’s great religions was a necessary part of any well-rounded education. In our household the Bible, the Koran, and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology.

On Easter or Christmas Day my mother might drag me to church, just as she dragged me to the Buddhist temple, the Chinese New Year celebration, the Shinto shrine, and ancient Hawaiian burial sites. In sum, my mother viewed religion through the eyes of the anthropologist; it was a phenomenon to be treated with a suitable respect, but with a suitable detachment as well.’

Michelle Obama is a Protestant Christian. She was raised Methodist and joined the Trinity United Church of Christ, where she and Barack Obama married, performed by Rev. Jeremiah Wright. On May 31, 2008, Barack and Michelle Obama announced that they had withdrawn their membership in Trinity United Church of Christ stating that “Our relations with Trinity have been strained by the divisive statements of Reverend Wright, which sharply conflict with our own views”.[49]

The Obama family has attended several different churches since moving to Washington D.C. in 2009, including Shiloh Baptist Church and St. John’s Episcopal Church. At the 49th African Methodist Episcopal Church’s general conference, Michelle Obama encouraged the attendees to advocate for political awareness, saying “To anyone who says that church is no place to talk about these issues, you tell them there is no place better – no place better, because ultimately, these are not just political issues – they are moral issues, they’re issues that have to do with human dignity and human potential, and the future we want for our kids and our grandkids.”

D for Discovery Day for the Cypriot people tomorrow. How much poorer are they and is a Cypriot Euro worth less than say a German or a French one? Will contagion follow in Italy, Spain and Portugal?

    27 March 2013

Cyprus banks to reopen on Thursday

Banks in Cyprus are to reopen on Thursday at 10:00 GMT, 10 days after they closed to prevent a bank run as a controversial bailout was negotiated.

Banks will open their doors between noon and 18:00 local time, the Cypriot central bank said.

Customers will also be limited to withdrawing 300 euros ($383; £253) a day, to prevent everyone fleeing with their savings.

Controversial indeed. The Cypriots have been robbed.

Another gem from our ex-Luftwaffe man :

Habakuk are you accusing Nevermind of being ex-Luftwaffe because he is ethnic German? If so, you are being blatantly racist. A new low for you. Be careful, very careful, there are some red-lines here. Do you understand?

  • Villager

Mary, thank you for flagging the rightful suspicion about this wonderful charity the IRC. The more one digs the more apparent it becomes as to how they are positioned as part of the PSYOPS of the system.

“The International Rescue Committee has been described in the past as the ideal instrument of psychological warfare, and it is. This is exactly what is going on with the IRC today, and more, when the IRC—heavily subsidized by the very same profiteers—sends its body counters into Congo. But the IRC is not only the ideal instrument of psychological warfare, it is also the ideal instrument of intelligence gathering. The IRC capitalizes on their access to refugee populations, conflict areas and individual refugee encounters and interviews to gather intelligence on armed groups, leadership, resources, weapons and geographical conflicts, information that is selectively used to serve the greater interests of the IRC and its partners.”

    Villager, Nevermind is ex-Luftwaffe iirc.
HBK has a long running tactic of being facetious with personal testimonies.

Habbakuk, you haven’t answered me if you’ve understood.

Do you have a problem with Germans?

“Habakuk are you accusing Nevermind of being ex-Luftwaffe because he is ethnic German? If so, you are being blatantly racist. A new low for you. Be careful, very careful, there are some red-lines here. Do you understand?”

Wrong again, Villager. If you look (and no, I’m not going to do the work for you) you will find that Never-a-mind described himself as “ex-Luftwaffe”.

    Apology, please.

So you believe that action to prevent a possible bank run is a bad thing?

Did you approve of the Uk govt’s natioanilisation of Morthern Rock, also designed to prevent an actual bank run?

Are you in favour of bank runs?

Don’t bother to answer if it inconveniences you.

Last week, eggs and tomatoes were thrown at a window of the Godalming Sainsbury’s café window where Hunt was holding a meeting. There was a protest by people angry at the closure of Lewisham Hospital. I trust Hunt registered the free? use of their premises on his register of interest!

    Today IDS was heckled.

Iain Duncan Smith branded a ‘ratbag’ over welfare changes
Work and pensions secretary heckled by anti-cuts protesters during a speech at the George hotel in Edinburgh

Iain Duncan Smith, the work and pensions secretary, was called a “ratbag” as he was heckled by anti-cuts protesters who gatecrashed a speech in Edinburgh on Wednesday.

Smith was about to deliver a speech on pensions reform when campaigner Willie Black began haranguing the MP, calling him a “parasite” and a “ratbag” for pursuing social security cuts that would leave “millions” of people homeless.

After Black, who had booked in for an overnight stay at the George hotel to get into the event hosted by Capita, was escorted from the room, two disability rights campaigners also barracked Smith. Protesters also gathered outside the hotel.

Referring to the sole Tory MP in Scotland, Black, from the North Edinburgh Fights Back campaign, told Smith there were more pandas in the country than Tories (there are 15 Tory MSPs in the Scottish parliament).

As Smith prepared to address his audience, Black shouted: “Why are you here in Scotland? We have a different philosophy. We’ve not elected you and your Tory cohorts. We don’t want you; we don’t need you. We’ve more pandas than you. You’ve only got one MP and we want a different Scotland that cares for people who are distressed and in poverty.

“You’re going to make millions of people homeless people that definitely need help. You’re making the richer, richer and the poor poorer,” Black said…

People loathe them and their policies.

Today Gideon has demanded a further 10% cut in government spending. He has been very careless and is missing many £billions.

‘….there is now set to be a deficit of over £90bn in 2015/16’ according to Landale of the BBC.

Ministers told to prepare for more cuts of up to 10%
Danny Alexander wrote to Whitehall departments

The Treasury has written to government departments warning most ministers they will have to cut up to 10% of their budgets for the year 2015/16.

Spending on health, schools and international aid will continue to be given protection.

Crab, sorry i reread your comment and the ‘iirc’. I’d want Habakuk to show it to me or Nevermind to confirm it but thank you.
Either way its a cheap shot.

Mary breathlessly tells us important news:

    “Today IDS was heckled ”

No less breathlessly, I tell you the following :

    – today, Mary went to the toilet

    – today, Jives ate some food

    – today, the world turned on its axis

    – today, there were jet planes in the sky

    – today, criminal acts were carried out somewhere

    – today, Nevermind had a sane thought.

Don’t worry, I made up the last one.

  • Villager

Habakuk, emulation is the best form of flattery. Its also a confirmation that you’re struggling with originality because you’re a jaded establishment parrot.

    Ref Dreoilin’ earlier comments.
I could not see any point in adding fuel, as the trolls have done, seizing on the exchange with delight, but this is I would have said to her in reply to her comment:

OK Dreoilin. Why all the nit picking and stirring? I should have said right at the beginning –

‘I wish to withdraw this at 9.09 having no knowledge of foreign obscenities, or English ones, NOT IN THE COMMON PARLANCE, for that matter.’

Hope this meets with your approval.

Can’t imagine what readers of this blog think of some of this here today.

    Mary

You are going to have to do a lot better than that. Yes I got nearly a thousand words but you still avoid telling us what picture they paint – you just come up with the conclusion that the Obama’s are not a Jewish family. The reason why Michelle Obama is honouring a Jewish religous ceremony is to show respect to a major religion – just as the first family show respect to Islam as well by hosting regular Iftar dinners. So I ask again what oicture where you were trying to paint.

I too watched the BBC2 programme on weddings – there was also a lot of palaver for the Hindu wedding which you didn’t want to mention. In my experience palaver goes with weddings whatever the religion.

While you ponder my question please hope this from a good Jewish boy might just mellow your thinking a little http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mlyui7SvyPY

PS I read the idiotic link to the IRC in the Congo undertaking heavy shelling – where the source for the claim is not given for reasons of confidentiality. Pretty difficult thing to keep confidential heavy shelling (especially for a humanitarian organisation) – ask the slobbering Dauphin.

  • Villager

Mary, its part of the outside world — there are loads of nincompoops around so i wouldn’t be too defensive. Showing them up is part of life.

For myself, apart from the Valid IRC suspicions you raised (and we found solid confirmation of that), Dreolin made an important contribution on how the US is busy supporting Al Qaeda groups and a revealing dialogue on GM crops with her and Ben.

What was The Troika’s contribution, can anyone remember?

  • resident dissident

    Villager

I think you will find that on this blog you are the jaded establishment parrot – but if you want to say something original that goes against the prevailing flow here be my guest.

Since you are so keen on different perspectives – perhaps you might wish to look at this

“The Russian economy lost at least US$211.5 billion in illicit financial outflows from 1994 to 2011. These outflows represent the proceeds of crime, corruption, and tax evasion, and have serious negative consequences for the Russian economy.”

See the detailed report here http://www.gfintegrity.org/ it demonstrates how the likes of both Putin and Berovsky have been stealing from ordinary Russians from many years – and how Cyprus was the conduit for much of their funds and has now been screwed up as a result.

On the other hand you could just look at the pictures of Michelle Obama and wonder why a nice girl like that became entwined in the grand Jewish conspiracy.
