In the week they took hundreds of pounds from people in severe poverty, MPs and Lords claim up to £3,750 each to return from their luxury holidays to spout off in honour of Margaret Thatcher. Meantime the media are busy classifying any potential protest or expression of opinion at the taxpayer funded funeral jamboree as “potential terrorism”.

Whether protest at the funeral is tasteful or not is a fair question. But there is no question it is perfectly lawful. There is virtually no understanding of the very notion of civil liberty in the mainstream media.

    Over 55% of the population voted for parties opposing the Tories even at the height of her popularity in 1979. Thanks to our electoral system that meant that throughout the whole time Thatcher was governing, the majority of the population were against her and had never voted for the Tories.

    Could somebody please explain in simple terms how I can buy a copy of ‘Ding Dong The Witch is Dead’ in a way that will count towards its ‘chart’ position?

    It would be nice if I could do this without paying money to any parasitic tax-dodging American corporations – although these days they seem to have their thieving tentacles everywhere, so I accept that may not be possible.

    I’m not at all technically savvy and I’ve never bought an on-line download before, so please could you try to keep the instructions simple!

    I would agree with Hitchens view about Kissinger (as would William Shawcross who Mary had a go at recently btw if you read his book Sideshow)- and if you bothered to look at the BBC article to which Mary referenced and quoted from selectively you will see that Hitchens views and his book on the matter are very clearly referenced. The journalist concerned was trying to present a balanced view – with enough infomration so that people reading the article could make up their own minds. You and Mary clearly have a problem with media that acts in such a manner – and I presume prefer your views spoonfed with a built in bias – and then claim that anyone who does otherwise is biased.

    Just believing that someone should be able to state their case and journalists who present both sides of a case isn’t the same as agreeing except in totalitarian states

    I have already made it clear that I am no Thatcherite – but as I have also made it clear I don’t think it is particularly tasteful to start up attacks on her just because she has died and is not buried.

    If Mary or anyone else for that matter wants to start attacking people because they are Jewish (or Moslems, black , homosexual etc. for that matter) then I am not going to hold back until they explain themselves, and I am most certainly not going to turn my back as you seem prepared to do. If she had a shred of decency she would apologise for the untermensch reference she applied to Cameron and Clegg – as she knows all too well the connotations that are attached.
