The Sky Has Not Fallen 830

The shocking death of Lee Rigby quite naturally appals us all. The intention of the crazed little group who conceived this killing was to make it as horrible as possible in order to scare people.

Horrible, sociopathic violence happens to people from time to time. They have done since Cain killed Abel, metaphorically or literally as you choose. Here is another headline today, just as horrific:

A British soldier has been jailed for stabbing a 10-year-old boy after getting drunk on vodka while serving in Afghanistan.

Both that obscene attack and Michael Adebolajo’s appalling actions are borne out of the same conflict. But it is reasonable to suppose that both these incidents involved people with, for whatever reason, a pre-disposition to murderous violence.

Such people have always been with us and will always be with us, but fortunately they are very, very few. In a nation of 60 million, involvement in violent crime is very low. If you are the victim of criminal violence, the odds over the last decade are about one in twenty thousand that the violence inflicted on you will have any linkage to political or terrorist causation. And the odds that you will suffer any kind of violent attack are thankfully pretty remote.

We should not panic from theatrical violence, just deplore and take sober stock. Sadly if a lunatic on the bus decides to strangle you tomorrow, there are no pre-emptive laws that can stop that. We should stop pretending that the state can always prevent.

Brian. I was going to say that McCain slid into Syria like a slug on its slime trail. Kerry is/has been next door with Netanyahu. Hague has slipped back into the country from his war war jaw jaw op in Brussels, no doubt having briefed Deckchair Dave on the blower.

These war criminals will have more and more blood on their hands and will become indistinguishable from the previous intake.

It’s a pity that follow-up comments need to be posted to clarify in elaborate detail what is obvious in preceding comments.

Firstly, RSS Mary, obsessed with all things J*wish, pecks out some silly comment implying that I claimed that Muslim countries do not receive refugees and that my comments were a “criticism” of Muslims – as if that is never justified. Might I point out that Muslim countries have no choice but to accept the many thousands of refugees who cross their porous borders from trouble-torn neighbouring countries because of the logical consequences and practical difficulties of preventing people from doing what they are desperate to do. I expect that most refugees do not have the wherewithal to make the journey to their preferred destination, the compassionate West.

Secondly, these Muslim countries are, indeed, reluctant to receive these refugees, for many reasons I suppose but in glaring contradiction to the profound concern that they profess to have for the wellbeing of their Muslim brothers.

Thirdly, the very clear point I made was that if Muslims have a choice of settling in the oppressive UK, as was asserted by one of RSS Mary’s (un)intellectual peers, or settling in a Muslim country that is happy to receive them, why are they opting for the UK?

The question is reasonable, and it implies that the situation is in fact a reversal of the propaganda that is peddled by advocates and rainbow-chasing supporters of multi-culturalism. Anybody willing to provide an explanation?

Some are already aware that many of the media images and video of the Woolwich attack have been provided by Pixel8000, Pixel or Gavin Rodgers – who are one and the same.

Gavin Rodgers is a professional photographer and is an experianced photo journalist. He has also had work appear in The Sun that is best described as anti-Arab/pro-Israeli propganda.

Imagine how excited I was to hear that ITV had an interview with the man who took frilmed the video rant, although the interview was filmed on two different cameras and it could have been either one of the cameramen it was still of great value.

Now imagine my (lack of) shock when upon visiting that page I am informed…

“This video has replaced a previous one for legal reasons” and I can’t play the video (tried 3 browsers) which appears to be the Gavin Rodgers version of the interview.

    http://www.itv.com/news/update/2013-05-22/man-who-filmed-woolwich-video-i-was-not-afraid/

  • April Showers

I could play the video on that link. There is a link within it to the same thing on Vimeo. The interviewee is the owner of the mobile phone who filmed the now famous confrontation where the lady qith the shopping trolley approaches. The interviewee has his back to the camera and prefers not to be identified.

    Pooh. What a stench.

“What’s your explanation for the extraordinarily calm, collected attitude of the bystanders? Why did they not run away?”

Like everyone else I can not offer any *reasonable* explanation. However, speculation, half-arsed guessing and the like simply act as a distraction to the valid points.

There are dozens of features about the event that warrant further investigation, some are apparently highly suspicious, however we are seeing no new material surface – indeed, we are seeing material being withdrawn as in the case above.

We have a story that was fully formed on the day it occurred (within hours actually) and has not changed one single bit since. We have dozens of witness with phone cameras and one week later they still haven’t uploaded their videos or sold them on to the media? Hint: images and videos will be worth less now than they were last week – so it’s almost a guarantee that there will be no more.

This has been a very carefully managed media event which in itself should warrant the most extreme caution when analysing the data available.

One thing I do know is that to be ridiculed by someone who then offers the shooting of “The Bill” (a TV show decommissioned in the previous decade and which the Wikipedia page on film locations does not mention Woolwich) as a serious explanation without a hint of irony or sarcasm make me feel like I have a point or two worth pursuing, after all you only pick-up flak when you’re approaching the target.

interesting someone commented that gavin rodgers re-tweeted the obscure rapper boya dee supposed eyewitness “beheading” stuff, which became the defining narrative, and has not been cleared up by the MSM naturally. i’ve been trying to find out how boya dee’s tweets first got picked up. is it that rodgers is responsible? dee reportedly turned down money offers amounting to 75,000 pounds, (the figure isn’t in the link below, but it’s reported widely) so he’s not going to clear this up:

UK rapper live-tweets eye-witness account of London beheading
So far he has not taken them up on their offer.
It’s led some to speculate that the account is fake and he was simply
repeating what he had seen on the TV news.

ironic that Adebolajo was seemingly just as busy recruiting for the “AQ” Syrian rebels, as Cameron/Hollande have been trying to arm them! fitting the stall was in front of HSBC!

Guardian: Suspect’s journey from schoolboy football to phonejacking and jihad
The 28-year-old – Michael Adebolajo) was a regular at the al-Muhajiroun
stall outside the HSBC branch on Woolwich high street, handing out extremist
literature, and one witness said he was recently seen outside Plumstead
community centre encouraging an audience to go to Syria to fight…
“You would see them there every week,” Atma Singh, a Sikh leader said,
speaking on Thursday outside Woolwich’s neo-classical Victorian town hall.
“They were there over a period of several years, handing out radical
literature. They were about eight to 10 of them.
“They stopped coming at some point but I was quite annoyed that they were
able to do this for so long. Nobody tried to shut the stall down.”…

headline should say SECOND & THIRD TIME:

Why did MI5 let soldier killer go to Kenya a SECOND time?
Sources in Africa say the 28-year-old was seen in Kenya as late as last November, in the company of a radical cleric who was also being monitored by security forces.
Adebolajo is also suspected of making a third visit to the country, which has become a gateway for young radicalised Britons wishing to fight alongside jihadists in Somalia.

Is this ‘Jemand’ the same as ‘Jemand – Evolutionary Religion 101’ who in March on this blog linked to this site?

Also is it the same ‘Jemand’ who got into a lather when I linked to a piece by John Pilger, after I said that Australia was a racist country and that the indigenous people had had and were having terrible lives, their lands and the resources under them having been stolen from them? I then assumed that Jemand was an Australian judging from the content of the response(s).

    Q. Who is the proposed provider of the $4bn one wonders? Will the rate of interest be the same as Wonga.com’s whose lobbyist was formerly employed as an adviser to Deckchair Dave?

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/oct/30/david-cameron-adviser-lobbyist-wonga

Mr Damelin and Mr Hurwitz, the founders of Wonga.7com, made £50m profit and this piece was written a year ago. Interest rates of 4,500%!

Wonga is a word of Australian Aboriginal origin.

I did point out there were two people filming the interview, one was Gavin Rodgers and the other is presumably this guy, who is too frightened to appear on screen but brave enough to openly confront the police at the scene and berate them to members of the public for taking so long?

Here is the main point to consider. This man is obscuring his identity but we know that there are lots of additional CCTV and camera phones filming from different angles, so he is going to be clearly and easily identified in them as he filmed the confession – he is a central character and a “1st class” eye-witness.

What makes him confident at this stage that he will not be easily identified on the other images and videos that were bound to start appearing later on (which, of course, they never did)?

Presumably he will be appearing as a witness for the prosecution at Central Criminal Court No. 1. where again we will have an opportunity to identify him, so why the cloak and dagger?

He’s not scared of the Police. He’s not scared of Psycho killers. He’s not scared of speaking his mind in public. But, please… no pictures!

  • Jesuit Atheist

    Oddie,

Thanks for the Boya Dee info. I mentioned the retweet earlier in this thread.

With that last post of yours about the pole-dancer things are getting a bit weird. One of the earliest eyewitness reports I read on the day (or just after) was a local school teacher who also mentioned, almost as a throwaway remark, that his pupils had been asking him questions about a naked woman that was seen walking up the road just prior to the incident (a distraction while setting things up?). I have busted my browser history and google trying to locate it. Anyone?

  • Jesuit Atheist

“Jesuit Atheist: was a link meant to accompany your last comment at 10.05?”
No, I was referring to the vid at vimeo that was linked earlier.

The body bag stuff is interesting. The more images one sees the more suspect it gets, kind of like the exact opposite of what happens in reality eh?

The scary thing is “is this the best they got”? Why has almost every single image and video they’ve released so far produced more anomalies and questions than answers?

  • Dreoilin

“who then offers the shooting of “The Bill” (a TV show decommissioned in the previous decade and which the Wikipedia page on film locations does not mention Woolwich) as a serious explanation without a hint of irony or sarcasm”

I don’t know if you’re talking about Cryptonym or me there. I was quoting Cryptonym. I don’t know Woolwich from a hole in the ground and I’ve never seen “The Bill”.

“make me feel like I have a point or two worth pursuing, after all you only pick-up flak when you’re approaching the target”

Could I point out that I was quite possibly the first person to point out “oddities about Woolwich” on this site? Here, on the Search for Change thread

I don’t know why you’re getting your knickers in a twist. I haven’t been arguing in favour of the “official” Woolwich story, or arguing against you, either.

“Like everyone else I can not offer any *reasonable* explanation. However, speculation, half-arsed guessing and the like simply act as a distraction to the valid points.”

You’ve done a bit of half-arsed guessing yourself, e.g. when you decided that your Gavin Rodgers character had been on the same bus as Ingrid Loyau-Kennett. Speculation, guesswork, nothing more.

    Dreolin:

People were ridiculing suggestions that this was staged earlier in the thread.

I was not making a personal attack.

All observant people agree that something is not right, it’s the “what’s wrong” that is used to divide people and that is why I try and steer clear of suggesting alternatives.

My underwear has always been crease free.

I took the liberty of going out on a limb just the once, and said very clearly I was speculating about Indgrid and Gavin both being on the bus. At the end of the day it makes no difference if they were or not but I would like to know what brought MSM photo journalist Gavin Rodgers to Woolwich that day (physically and metaphorically).

  • Kibo Noh

Many years ago I was almost involved in a road accident in which two nearby cars collided. I pulled in to the roadside and after checking that nobody was injured I decided to stay around to offer a statement since I had witnessed the whole thing.

The police were soon on the scene. They took my statement and I continued my way. Several weeks later a police officer knocked on the door and informed me that he needed to take a further statement.

Over the next few minutes it became clear that my new statement was needed because the driver whose recklessness had caused the whole thing, and who had admitted so much at the scene, had visited a solicitor and between them they had concocted a story in which it was my driving had caused the pile-up.

I was naturally quite shocked but was reassured by the policeman who said I shouldn’t worry over-much since they had “read the scene of the accident” and that skid-marks and debris clearly told the story contained in my statement. As it happened that was the last I heard of the whole affair.

I remember his parting words. “They must think we’re stupid!”

The aerial photo in this propanandist article surely frames the scene well enough for anyone with functioning eyes and a little common sense to read a little for themselves. No doubt an experienced professional would read far more.

    http://www.capitalbay.com/uk/344070-woolwich-beheading-analysis-mi5-s-worst-nightmare-has-come-true.html

The absence of images on the internet from all those passers-by who recorded the event can surely also be “read”. The same goes for the eagerness of the the conformity enforcers that we should change the subject and not listen to “conspiracists”.

Isn’t the fact that conspiracy happened something that we all agree upon? Oh! I forgot. Only scary dark-skinned evil muslim people can conspire.

It is clear from this thread that there are a growing number of angles to this story, both physical and behavioral, that can’t be squeezed into the shape of the official narrative. Thanks to all who are pointing them out.

I’ll conclude with the Words of the Law
    “They must think we’re stupid!”

  • MJ

“Why are the later photos of the second suspects right arm blurred”

Isn’t that caused by something, eg a post, in the foreground?

  • Dreoilin

“People were ridiculing suggestions that this was staged earlier in the thread.
I was not making a personal attack.”

    Really? But you wrote

“One thing I do know is that to be ridiculed by someone who then offers the shooting of “The Bill” (a TV show decommissioned in the previous decade and which the Wikipedia page on film locations does not mention Woolwich) as a serious explanation without a hint of irony or sarcasm …”

So you had to be talking about either Cryptonym or me.

    And you say,
“I took the liberty of going out on a limb just the once, and said very clearly I was speculating about Indgrid and Gavin both being on the bus.”

Right. So don’t try and dictate what others may or may not speculate about. K?
