    OK, it’s a tenuous connection, but I’ll use it to raise the subject of Prince Charles’ circumcision in 1948 by Rabbi Jacob Snowman, M.D., who was the official Mohel (ritual circumciser) of the London Jewish community. It’s always struck me as a peculiarly meaningful act which the official explanation – if you want something done, get an expert – doesn’t really cover. I am at a loss, though, to suggest what that meaning may be. Can anybody here suggest a plausible explanation as to why the ‘Defender of the Faith and Supreme Governor of the Church of England’ should have her son circumcised in such a manner?

    Apparently his wife has hired a private detective, and there is a lawyer out there somewhere with documents relating to whatever story he was working on.

    I see I should revisit my free-speech metaphor.

    Just as freedom doesn’t mean ‘do whatever you want’, no matter how it adversely affects others, is not freedom. True freedom implies some responsibility in the actions of individuals.

    So too, free-speech is not an absolute. There are proscribed behaviors in order to qualify.

    So let me get this straight. A very well respected journalist was working on his “biggest story yet” about the NSA. He then became paranoid and said he was going into hiding because he was being followed. He then talks to a lawyer and tells his coworkers not to talk to the FBI. Then his car goes through at least 2 intersections at a very high rate of speed and crashes, bursting into flames. There are no skid marks. Then the coroner cremates the body against the family’s wishes. Then a local reporter interviews the family and is threatened? Just making sure I’m clear so far.

    To which someone has replied

    Yes, you are quite clear and let me translate the whole thing down into three words:

    AMERICA IS DEAD

    Then the thread got unpinned from the front page immediately after that.

    +1 Dreoilin for fairness, lateral thinking and straight-on objectivity — not much of it around. They’re all busy forming cliques, to what end i don’t know.

    Ever so subtle, but i wonder why? Is this lonely Nevermind’s (who can’t seem to take off for his holiday despite several threats) way of cosying up to, and taking advantage of, the little pre-pubescent Sophia? If so it seems to be working.

    Also, wonder why Nevermind was bristling at being called a failed-petty-politician, when he has self-declared all these facts here for himself?

    You’ve obviously completely got it wrong. Far be it from me to give you free advice. I am here to share my observations and discuss. I noted that you haven’t picked up on any debate about the ‘deep stuff’ despite your initial expressed interest. All in good time.

    Meantime, carry on with your memorisation of ‘narratives’ and don’t forget to recite them daily here. We’ll see daily how far you get with them and what difference it makes.

    Medialensers now call Snow 6 Pilgers in ironic tribute. They sometimes use it in emails to Snow and you can see him getting rattled.

    Michael White is of course a complete plonker too.
