You omitted your postcode, which is….? Employment, age, ethnicity, political affiliations if any…..?

But, for the rest, and assuming that what you wrote is correct, I’ll admit you met my challenge and that you are entitled therefore to invite – but not demand of – others to reveal their real personae. I would not hold it against you if you were to call those who fail to respond to such an invitation cowards (compared to yourself) – provided of course that you applied that description to all and not just to me. I refer of course to all the regulars, new and old: Ba’al Zevul, Mary, Herbie, Macky, Phil, Tony M, Juteman, Jay, Californian Seer Ben, Mark Golding, BrianFujisan, etc, etc, etc….

    Have a nice day.

All from me for now, have a nice day.

Potholes are political. The cost to the country in terms of personal injury, damage to vehicles, suspensions, tyres and wheels let alone the larger cost of having to resurface complete roads where the potholes have allowed water penetration into the foundations. There have even been crashes like this one between a car and a school coach.

    http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/incoming/road-repairs-plea-after-school-6881172

Cameron keeps promising extra £millions but nothing happens. Much like all those promises to those recently flooded out.

Surrey CC used to have its own labour force which was efficient and responsive when defects to roads or pavements were reported. All that was swept away and contractors were given county wide contracts. A disaster. Poor quality work, fraud in the contract, overcharging etc etc.

A new contractor came with a PR flurry. All started well with proper repairs – cutting out a rectangle, refilling with hot asphalt, sealing with liquid bitumen etc
Now we are back to men in white vans laying loose fill asphalt to fit the contour of the hole, tamping it down and driving off. Lifetime of repair – very short and costly if and when it is repaired again.

Repairs to dropped gullies, dropped drain or inspection covers? Forget it. Just watch out.

I pity any badly injured patient being transported by ambulance around here. It must be an absolutely horrendous experience.

    “KOWN

But it still attracted more attention than your books!

BTW I did read one many years ago – but sorry I found the humour somewhat forced and hence false.”

The sock-puppets and trolls have a rare and unfathomable sense of humour. So dour! Never a witty comment! Devoid of original metaphor, trudging along in their leaking wellies through the churned up sludge, effluent, sewage and detritus of their lonely lives can hardly be conducive to humour. Except for those of us witnessing it. Reasoning of the type found in their comments does not demonstrate an intellect capable of understanding humour. No wonder they cannot smile at the things that make the rest of us laugh out loud. Pity them.

Let me recommend “From Aberystwyth with Love” which I started yesterday. I met some familiar characters from “The Day Aberystwyth stood still” which I read last year with great pleasure. It has already had me laughing.

When Habbabkuk was creeping up to the owner of the blog KingOfWelshNoir made me laugh by hinting that he would be bringing a teacher’s apple next. Since then Habbabkuk has demonstrated his originality by using the same illustration when I have agreed with Craig. So original. And that Stalin quote. Oh my God. Think of something new you dreary disrupters.

  • Anon

Fear not Habbabkuk, we may have got through the horror of people enjoying themselves at Cheltenham, but we still have the disgusting cruelty of the Grand National and the bourgeois elitism of Wimbledon to come. With the added bonus of this year’s “FOR PROFIT” Tour de France starting in Britain, 2014 looks set to be every bit as miserable as last year, for some anyway. Have a nice day!

I’ve often noticed that some of the more expensive roads in Surrey are often kept in appalling condition. I believe this is a deliberate ploy to stop the proles driving through them.

“I pity any badly injured patient being transported by ambulance around here. It must be an absolutely horrendous experience.”

Also think of the Waitrose vans. Safe conveyence of their Heston Blumenthal Organic Fairtrade, Guetemalan cacao Easter Egg (£25) is all but an impossibilty in such an environment.

  • Mary

Anon seems to have some deep knowledge of upmarket bonbons from Waitrose By Royal Appointment. Personally never go in to one. Too pretentious in their blandness and with all the partners working hard towards their annual bonus. Not a socialist worker in sight.

He even knows of roads leading to expensive houses. Perhaps he lives in one. Perhaps we should be told. The only word missed out was ‘leafy’.

PS The roads chosen for the Boris Prudential cycle routes are usually kept in good order. Must not have the cameras zooming in on any potholes or catching any cyclists being thrown off.

The deal to have more of the same (more kettling of residents, more road closures) was done in secret between Boris and David Hodge, leader of Surrey CC. So open and democratic these Tories but mind you Hodge would have been no match for Boris in full on blustering steamroller mode.

‘SURREY County Council’s leader has revealed he made a verbal agreement with Mayor of London Boris Johnson to host two annual cycling events for five years without consulting residents.

David Hodge made the revelation at a meeting of the council’s executive, saying he had taken the unilateral decision as he believed it would be “for the long term benefit of the community”.

The circumstances surrounding the deal were heavily criticised by Councillor Hazel Watson, leader of the county’s Liberal Democrats, who had demanded to know how the arrangement had been reached.

Her questions led to the release of a previously unseen cabinet paper from December 2011, revealing when Surrey had been committed to hosting both the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey and Tour of Britain cycling events.’

what a coincidence just round the corner from my autumn residence on HaHashamal Street, why don’t you come round mine in October, socket, around the 17th. when I come over to clean my swimming pool, you could have those physical education lessons you’ve been yearning for and chantering on about for so long.

I don’t want to be anyone’s nanny but maybe the mods should remove Jive’s comments containing his address and phone number. Considering the content and time they were written it’s a fair guess he was a bit worse for wear.

He can always repost them if he wants but the longer they stay there the more likely a bot will pick them up and spam him relentlessly for the rest of his days.

“Not a socialist worker in sight”

Lol! You write it like it’s a bad thing. Who wants some grotty scrote picketing the local grocery?

“He even knows of roads leading to expensive houses. Perhaps he lives in one.”

Then again, perhaps he doesn’t, perhaps he lives without a massive chip on his shoulder.

    “More kettling of residents…”

More evidence, if needed, that you live a very sheltered life indeed.

Truth is hard to find (thanks Brian) most times smothered in wisecracks, padded and faked out by deception.

Seeing through this suffocating noise is a gift. The proxy war in Syria has been exposed, guilt and shame fills the plate.

  • Anon

That’s a fair call, Phil. No Eminence* would want it known they live in Glasgow’s equivalent of Camden. Terribly middle-class. Mods: delete!

*I’m no longer using the term ‘Murrayista” as our host has shown a dangerous inclination towards independent thought on topics such as global warming and Putin’s Russia, leading one or two to resign in disgust.

Hurrah for those standing up to May and her border agency operatives. That was her head teacher, her fellow students and very many concerned members of the public.

Yashika was due to be deported to Mauritius without her family.

The deportation of a Mauritian student has been delayed after lawyers said they would seek a High Court injunction to block her removal.

The Tag-Team has returned to supplant the tired and ineffective Freddie Blassie showmanship.

Mark; I wonder if you would expand. MH 370 has dominated the news for 3 weeks, and possible misdirection is part of the double-header event.

What an unpleasant racist remark. Some skins there too brown for your liking are they?

Hey, at least we know ‘coward/fake’ are not keywords.

Anon; “Judging by the school photo she might as well be home anyway”

And there’s Craig insinuating that those who opposed his neocon take on the Ukraine were the BNP supporters ! It’s not the first time Anon has revealed his racism, as I distinctly remember a previous occassion, where his comments would have probably even made an actual BNP member disown him in embrassement !!

I’m still wondering why this supposedly banned Poster not only can still post, but that his comments are allowed to stand ?
