On the contrary, Mr Goss: most of my comments, as well as those by Resident Dissident, ESLO, Kempe and Anon are actually incisive and pertinent comments on comments and would be most conducive to discussion if the original commenters were so inclined. As the new avatar has not been universally applied to Habbabkuk’s posts on all three pages of this thread, whereas all of mine have the same avatar, does that mean that he is posting from different IP addresses and/or using different e-mail addresses? I think we should be told.
It would also be nice to know why they have been introduced. I dislike the colour of mine! Do we have any choice?

It’s like this. We don’t really bother about the legal implications or complexities of the case. We don’t really care about Yashiko or the fact that she’s very safe.
