I had fairly well concluded that the most likely cause was a fire disrupting the electrical and control systems, when CNN now say the sharp left turn was pre-programmed 12 minutes before sign off from Malaysian Air Traffic control, which was followed fairly quickly by that left turn.
CNN claim to have this from an US official, from data sent back before the reporting systems went off. It is hard to know what to make of it: obviously there are large economic interests that much prefer blame to lie with the pilots rather than the aircraft. But if it is true then the move was not a response to an emergency. (CNN went on to say the pilot could have programmed in the course change as a contingency in case of an emergency. That made no sense to me at all – does it to anyone else?)
I still find it extremely unlikely that the plane landed or crashed on land I cannot believe it could evade military detection as it flew over a highly militarized region. Somewhere there is debris on the ocean. There have been previous pilot suicides that took the plane with them; but the long detour first seems very strange and I do not believe is precedented. However if the CNN information on pre-programming is correct, and given it was the co-pilot who signed off to air traffic control, it is hard to look beyond the pilots as those responsible for whatever did happen. In fact, on consideration, the most improbable thing is that information CNN are reporting from the US official.
The Scottish Government took ownership
of Glasgow-Prestwick Airport on Friday 22 November 2013 for £1
so we know who to address our questions about the Antonov Flight UKL4061
which crashed a fortnight this morning.
Antonov Airlines ( Ukraine) and Volga-Dnepr Airlines (Russia), established a joint venture company — Ruslan International — where each company has a 50% stake. The joint operation of the Ukrainian and Russian fleets allow to maximize the utilization of the combined An-124-100 commercial fleet (seven freighters belong to Antonov Airlines and ten are owned by Volga-Dnepr Airlines) and the only one in use Antonov An-225 — the largest cargo aircraft in the world.
This is interesting ( considering the present upsets)

Ulyanovsk Vostochny Airport
This Russian runway is the third longest public use runway in the world with a length of 5,000 metres (16,000 ft). It is also the widest, with a total width of about 105 metres.
In March 2012 Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov offered Ulyanovsk Vostochny Airport for NATO use as a hub for non-lethal cargo and for ferrying personnel!!!

In December 2012, Ruslan Salis’ NATO contract was extended through the end of 2014, having previously been extended in 2008 and 2010. Prior to the 2014 Crimean crisis, it appeared likely that the contract would be extended for yet another two year term.
So it would seem NATO is not completely against Russia?
Seeing as how they are willing to use their heavy-lift services

Some duplicity it would seem.

Quite some time ago, I posted links to the Malaysia government’s plan to purchase more Russian-made fighter jets. Further on that matter:
“In 2003, Malaysia committed to purchase 18 Su-30MKMs. As part of the contract, Russia sent the first Malaysian cosmonaut to the International Space Station. It was a project under the government-to-government offset agreement through the purchase of Su-30MKM fighter jets for the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Under this agreement the Russian Federation bore the cost of training two Malaysians for space travel and for sending one to the International Space Station (ISS) in October 2007 under the Angkasawan program.
“In August 2003, Malaysia signed a US$900 million contract with Irkut Corporation for 18 Sukhoi Su-30MKMs. Malaysia operates the F/A-18D Hornet, and was offered Boeing’s F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, but chose the Su-30MKM.”

Is it possible to discover via the internet what was on the manifest of the Ukraine Antonov that took off from Glasgow-Prestiwick, just over a fortnight ago?
I don’t know about the Antonov, but here’s what was “allegedly” on MH17:

Dogs and birds? Remembering that Malaysia Airlines ships impossible fresh mangosteen.
I have wondered if the Antonov was carrying something radioactive, thus the “oilfield equipment”. We know that DU might be found in oilfield equipment, but were any other radioactive signatures found out there in the desert?
Here’s a newspaper that has been following the crash at Tamanrasset. See page 4. Maybe by digging through the archives, you’ll find something about the cargo manifest. Doubt it, though.

What would happen with the goings-on at Prestwick if the referendum is “Yes”? Is this why the information about the crashed Antonov has been downplayed in the press? What happens if the Scots learn the truth about “their” Prestwick before the referendum, in a forum like this one? They might be a wee bit PO’d?
Pigeons: vectors? See al-Hilli thread.
Q
I had not considered that the Antonov crash near Tamanrasset is being kept stum
because “they” don’t want the Scots working themselves up into a lather.
I think that may be part of the thinking but “they” will not be able to keep it stum if Ukraine asks the U.K. to decode their black boxes at Farnborough.
There has long been a question of whether Prestwick Airport, a known stop for extraordinary rendition flights, is also a black ops/wet ops centre:
http://www.scottishreview.net/KennethRoy115c.shtml
Do the Scottish people condone this kind of activity? I don’t think so.
The crash of the Ukrainian Antonov at Tamanrasset in Algeria, a flight originating from Prestwick Airport, is another question mark. What is really going on at Prestwick, and who is controlling those events?

This appears to be a serious act of criminal negligence on part of the co-pilot.
It wasn’t as if the plane went into a free fall and the pilots were unaware of it.
‘The Boeing report clearly establishes that the co-pilot fiddled with the controls of the aircraft after which the plane dropped 5,000 feet.
