Disappearing Aircraft 5652


I had fairly well concluded that the most likely cause was a fire disrupting the electrical and control systems, when CNN now say the sharp left turn was pre-programmed 12 minutes before sign off from Malaysian Air Traffic control, which was followed fairly quickly by that left turn.

CNN claim to have this from an US official, from data sent back before the reporting systems went off.  It is hard to know what to make of it: obviously there are large economic interests that much prefer blame to lie with the pilots rather than the aircraft.  But if it is true then the move was not a response to an emergency.  (CNN went on to say the pilot could have programmed in the course change as a contingency in case of an emergency.  That made no sense to me at all – does it to anyone else?)

I still find it extremely unlikely that the plane landed or crashed on land  I cannot believe it could evade military detection as it flew over a highly militarized region.  Somewhere there is debris on the ocean.  There have been previous pilot suicides that took the plane with them; but the long detour first seems very strange and I do not believe is precedented.  However if the CNN information on pre-programming is correct, and given it was the co-pilot who signed off to air traffic control, it is hard to look beyond the pilots as those responsible for whatever did happen.  In fact, on consideration, the most improbable thing is that information CNN are reporting from the US official.

    An Air France Boeing 777-300, registration F-GZNE performing flight AF-267 from Seoul (South Korea) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 290 passengers and 18 crew, was enroute at FL340 about 400nm north of Ekaterinburg (Russia) when the crew needed to shut the left hand engine (GE90) down. The aircraft drifted down to FL200 and diverted south to Ekaterinburg for a safe landing on runway 26R about 2 hours after leaving FL340.

    A replacement Boeing 777-300 registration F-GSQF had just reached Ekaterinburg and is expected to resume the flight the following day and to reach Paris with a delay of 26.5 hours.

    The airline confirmed the aircraft diverted to Ekaterinburg, all passengers have been taken to hotels.

    Airworthiness Directive

    The FAA issued an Airworthiness Directive on May 16, 2013 and sent it to owners and operators of General Electric Company (GE) GE90-110B1 and GE90-115B turbofan engines. This emergency AD was prompted by reports of two failures of transfer gearbox assemblies (TGBs) which resulted in in-flight shutdowns (IFSDs). Investigation has revealed that the failures were caused by TGB radial gear cracking and separation. Further inspections found two additional radial gears with cracks. This condition, if not corrected, could result in additional IFSDs of one or more engines, loss of thrust control, and damage to the airplane. The Airworthiness Directive requires compliance by taking remedial measures within 5 days of receipt of the AD.

    Not surprise there was another close call, if the FAA notice wasn’t complied with. FAA only has authority in the US of A.

    Yes I think quite a few people do I guess it depends on how reliable the data is, it is not hard to spot differences of opinion
    about that.
    I am not informed enough to judge who’s right the proof of the pud will be when the planes found until then I will give the crew the benefit of doubt and assume some catastrophe occurred as yet unknown .

    They suspect the captain, but if he had decided to kill himself and everyone on board MH370, what could have been the point of keeping the plane airborne for another 7 hours? What difference could it make?

    Watching the various ideas playing out mostly on twitter the choices seem to be,

    1 Onboard fire or Lightening strike,hypoxia ,fuel exhaustion, crash or some catastrophe along those lines .(not popular but a few die hards for this )

    2 Suicide (pilot)

    3 Hijack (kidnap )possibly to Garcia Diego or Russia or Iran or China and Christmas island seems to be a favourite with a few .(reasons vary )

    4 Theft involving 2 aircraft and a spoof signal,to steal unknown cargo (possibly ukraine gold)and several variations on that theme.

    5 Shot down

    No debris found officially some found by Tomnod peeps but not as yet verified as being debris (no ones listening )according to the the finders .

    There is also a group who are saying the Immarsat data is dodgy and they know where it is and its not in IO but in the GOT but still crashed as far as I can tell as they are not showing their cards yet, it looks to me like they and the Tomnod peeps are in the same area need to check for yourselves though .

    That’s my rough take on what I am seeing being said none of it should be taken as gospel as I don’t have a clue what happened .

    looses one engine, then has to divert hundreds of miles North and glides to an emergency landing in Ekatringburg.

    It is a good story as all lived.
    If this aircraft had crashed, some would be imagining the flying crew were at fault
    but in this case they seem to be heroes,
    yet not one showing in the Western Press?

    Would would benefit from keeping this quiet,
    who would have the power to suppress this thrilling event,

    surely the names of the pilots should be blazzened over the sky

    something is ongoing here.

    FRENCH airlines (Air France and other brand names) are the worst.
    Luckily, landing a triple 7 with only one engine running is no miracle. Those planes are certified to be able to do it. Question is, why don’t they mention it?
    Correct, it wouldn’t happen with RR engines.
    It has never been disclosed: had the Captain on MH370 any FRENCH connections? This would explain many things.

    An Air France Boeing 777-300, registration F-GZNG performing flight AF-165 from Vienna (Austria) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was enroute at FL360 about 50nm north of Munich (Germany) when the crew declared emergency reporting indication of a fuel leak and decided to divert to Munich. The crew performed a rapid descent and landed safely on Munich’s runway 26R about 20 minutes later. Examination by emergency services did not identify any fuel leak.

    The aircraft was on flight AF-165 from Bangkok (Thailand) to Paris CDG, however had diverted to Vienna earlier to refuel due to stronger than anticipated headwinds.

    The remainder of the flight was cancelled.

    Also blame the FRENCH on allowing intelligence agencies to hack all the SIM cards data of our mobile phones!
    The co-pilot on MH370 is supposed to have used his own after the plane had made its take-off roll. That’s unusual (sterile cockpit rule). Who was he calling and why?

    has a “fluffy” engine and has to abort the route and divert hundreds of miles North to land at Ekateringburg whilst gliding in with 300 persons on board,
    in what Universe, would this event not be noteworthy in FRANCE?
