I had fairly well concluded that the most likely cause was a fire disrupting the electrical and control systems, when CNN now say the sharp left turn was pre-programmed 12 minutes before sign off from Malaysian Air Traffic control, which was followed fairly quickly by that left turn.
CNN claim to have this from an US official, from data sent back before the reporting systems went off. It is hard to know what to make of it: obviously there are large economic interests that much prefer blame to lie with the pilots rather than the aircraft. But if it is true then the move was not a response to an emergency. (CNN went on to say the pilot could have programmed in the course change as a contingency in case of an emergency. That made no sense to me at all – does it to anyone else?)
I still find it extremely unlikely that the plane landed or crashed on land I cannot believe it could evade military detection as it flew over a highly militarized region. Somewhere there is debris on the ocean. There have been previous pilot suicides that took the plane with them; but the long detour first seems very strange and I do not believe is precedented. However if the CNN information on pre-programming is correct, and given it was the co-pilot who signed off to air traffic control, it is hard to look beyond the pilots as those responsible for whatever did happen. In fact, on consideration, the most improbable thing is that information CNN are reporting from the US official.

The cockpit has been hidden from the journalists’ view at the prosecutors’ request. These are potentially vital pieces of evidence which, the investigators hope, will help to establish the truth.

“The battery of an underwater locator beacon had run out more than a year before flight MH370 disappeared, a report by investigators revealed today.”
If the Daily Fail says so, it must be true; you always choose the best sources.
But these batteries were designed by the FRENCH, even if later subcontracted to a company in Japan.
Salme is true for batteries involved in the Dreamliner bad history!

Malaysia vows to take action against air traffic controller who was asleep on the job
when MH370 disappeared
Now that MSM is all over the dead battery story, why is no one asking, “What made the pings?” If there were no pings, what made the pings, and more importantly, wouldn’t that make the entire 7th arc story unbelievable? Surely a battery that had been dead for a year wouldn’t suddenly start working again in salt water.
There are enough holes in this story to fly a 777 through. Of course the air traffic controller was asleep, because the story needs more holes. My question at the beginning of all this was whether a mysterious anomaly had taken out Subang’s ATC again, like it did in 2012. Might as well post it again:

Serbia helicopter Crash
Helicopter on rescue mission following landslide (Updates with extraordinary session, number of victims confirmed)
(Reuters) – A Serbian military helicopter carrying a sick baby for treatment in Belgrade crashed near the capital’s main airport on Friday evening, the defence ministry said on Saturday.
Seven people – four crew members, two medical workers and the baby – were killed in the crash, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said at an extraordinary government session which was broadcast live on the state RTS television.
“The control tower lost contact with the helicopter at 10.30 p.m.,” he said. “The helicopter disappeared from (air traffic controllers’) radar at 10.34 p.m. (2134GMT).”
At the session, the cabinet unanimously voted to proclaim Sunday a national day of mourning.
The Russian-made Mi-17 transport helicopter came down “in the wider area” of Belgrade airport, the defence ministry said.
Serbia’s B92 broadcaster reported the helicopter had picked up a baby in the southern Serbian region of Raska after an ambulance taking the child to hospital for treatment for respiratory problems was blocked by a landslide. & A
The dead battery was on a the emergency location beacon of one of the two black boxes.
It has nothing at all to do with the pings of the satellite connection that helped to determine the seventh arc.
Despite the unexplained disappearance of flight MH370 and the shooting down of the MH17 flight, civil aviation has experienced in 2014, the safest year ever.

Nurul Izzah Anwar, daughter of Anwar Ibrahim, arrested for sedition. Wait a second: she was the person who brought the total failure of Subang air traffic control to our attention in 2012. Interesting move, Malaysia.
Nurulizzah.com is her blog, for anyone who’s interested. The March 8, 2015 post dealt with terrorism, and detention without trial.

Nurul Izzah divorced her husband, a distant relative of the Johor royal family, in January 2015.
The mystery fresh mangosteen cargo on MH370 originated in Muar, Johor.
A quick web search using “Johor drug smuggling” brings up 23,700 results. “Johor drug trafficking” brings up 37,100 results. Johor is apparently a transit point for Singapore gangs. “Johor drug royalty” produces 2,610,000 results. One thing leads to another and “Estonian model murder” comes up.
How many results does FRENCH connection bring up? Millions!
And FRENCH plus AIRCRAFT? Millions again! Open your eyes.
