Disappearing Aircraft 5652

I had fairly well concluded that the most likely cause was a fire disrupting the electrical and control systems, when CNN now say the sharp left turn was pre-programmed 12 minutes before sign off from Malaysian Air Traffic control, which was followed fairly quickly by that left turn.

CNN claim to have this from an US official, from data sent back before the reporting systems went off.  It is hard to know what to make of it: obviously there are large economic interests that much prefer blame to lie with the pilots rather than the aircraft.  But if it is true then the move was not a response to an emergency.  (CNN went on to say the pilot could have programmed in the course change as a contingency in case of an emergency.  That made no sense to me at all – does it to anyone else?)

I still find it extremely unlikely that the plane landed or crashed on land  I cannot believe it could evade military detection as it flew over a highly militarized region.  Somewhere there is debris on the ocean.  There have been previous pilot suicides that took the plane with them; but the long detour first seems very strange and I do not believe is precedented.  However if the CNN information on pre-programming is correct, and given it was the co-pilot who signed off to air traffic control, it is hard to look beyond the pilots as those responsible for whatever did happen.  In fact, on consideration, the most improbable thing is that information CNN are reporting from the US official.

So, MN, could the same apply to MH370: not hit, but near some sort of percussive event that disrupted its flight, thus a need to not find the passengers?

Perhaps as three Mirages were buzzing around,
    Germanwings

Military Ordnance could have inappropriately detonated
    adjacent to Flight 4U9525
causing the airbus to loose communication and controllability?

  • Q

Germanwings: We knoe the area of that crash was routinely restricted from civilian flights during military exercises. The locals said they thought an exercise was in progress when they saw the Mirages. I have repeatedly asked here if an exercise was going on at the time of the crash, or if the airspace was restricted from civilian flights at the time.

Was Germanwings another MH17, or another MH370, for that matter?

I’ve been doing some research into the licensing of pilots with mental health issues. Transportation authorities around the world are changing their approach to pilots who are being treated with SSRIs. Rather than an all-out ban of flying for pilots with specific mental health diagnoses, they are moving toward case-by-case review and monitoring. There is also awareness that these conditions are under-represented in pilots, as compared to the population at large. Some pilots and doctors try to go around regulators by using smoking-cessation drugs for the treatment of depression, for example. Because regulators are taking the new approach toward treatment and monitoring of psychiatric disorders in pilots in many countries, they are also allowing the use of multiple drugs in the treatment protocols. Sexual dysfunction sometimes goes along with SSRI/antidepressants, and so drugs used to treat that sideffect are also tolerated by authorities, in order to ensure pilots follow through with treatment protocols. Might explain a few things. Was Germanwings copilot on a treatment protocol that involved SSRIs and sideffect meds? This has me thinking about a certain ex-colonel elsewhere who suddenly became a sex offender and murderer, or so the story goes.

It would be very interesting to know if smoking cessation drugs (aka bupropion) were found in the residences of any well-known commercial or military pilots who also happened to be marathon runners and known non-smokers.

I wouldn’t mind betting that the Germanwings FRENCH ALPS death-plunge crash
was caused by the French armed services, accidentally
& nothing to do with mental illness,
not said much over the last week, have they?

@MN: There always seems to be a six-month gap that is unexplained in the timeline of pilots who go off the rails. I don’t think military pilots are any different from commercial pilots in this respect.

In the case of Russell Williams, he took six months off regular duty to attend French language instruction. That’s very odd, because he had attended an expensive private high school which surely would have given him French language instruction. He had also been promoted up the chain of command, in a country where military promotion most surely requires French language proficiency. He lived for many years in Ottawa, the capital city where anyone who wants a public service job must have French language proficiency. His wife had a French Canadian mother. He pronounced “Marie-France” with a perfect French accent. You do not get a perfect French accent in six months, and adult language learners often never get rid of their accent from their mother tongue.

We must assume that as the Germanwings Flight 4U9525 happened on a FRENCH mountain, that the FRENCH will be the Lead Investigators, that as the three French Mirages were buzzing around the Germanwings Airbus before it crashed, that the FRENCH Mirages pilots will be “heard” by the Investigators and that the FRENCH Military films will be seen by the FRENCH Invesigators and that the FRENCH will not be covering anything up?

    & A
You justed pointed a new interesting theory.
We know the doomed GermanWings flight carried several children. What if one of the numerous FRENCH fighter-planes pilots that were following was a paedophile and intended to abuse one of the innocent passengers?
That would explain the silence of FRENCH authorities on the circumstances of this fatal incident.

” I’ve now done my bit and it’s up to others to consider how it fits BTO/BFO. ”
Pink, don’t tell me you’re that green. MH370 will never be solved until political issues are settled. It’s not a matter of science, it’s a matter of honesty.
Whenever that day comes. No more pings and partial handshakes.

Contrails disappear very quickly, in a matter of minutes usually. Trying to spot them on satellite pictures to follow the itinerary of an aircraft is a total fantasy. Even the FRENCH would realise that.
To be a whistleblower, you need to have something to whistle about, you need insider information. Who has any about MH370?

    Contrails
Depending on the temperature and humidity at the altitude the contrails form, they may be visible for only a few seconds or minutes, or may persist for hours and spread to be several miles wide.

    Distrails
Where an aircraft passes through a cloud, it can clear a path through it; this is known as a distrail (short for “dissipation trail”). The plane’s warm engine exhaust causes existing precipitation to evaporate, leaving a clear wake through an otherwise cloudy sky.[22]

Distrails are created by the elevated temperature of the exhaust gases absorbing the moisture from the cloud. Clouds exist where the relative humidity is 100% but by increasing the temperature the air can hold more moisture and the relative humidity drops below 100%, even for the same absolute moisture density, causing the visible water droplets in the cloud to be converted back into water vapor.

I dare say there may be a whistleblower in the ATC ranks at Subang. Then again, maybe not, as they were in the process of training new ATCs due to the switchover to the new ATC operations, with the new runway and terminal opening. Did anyone in Subang know what they were doing on that fateful night, or was the place run by a bunch of newbs on new equipment that they didn’t understand? Or was it like the time in September 2012 when the power went out for a couple of hours, and all operations were handled by other airports? Malaysia will never disclose….

  • YouKnowMyName

selon des rapports de presse, le meurtrier présumé de Germanwings 9525 a pu tester la descente programmée pendant quelques minutes sur son vol juste précédente à Barcelone

  • NotForgettingFrenchBashing

Really? Were there also three French fighter planes following the air-bus on its way to Barcelona? Was there a sensitive nuclear plant hidden somewhere down the path? Any military drill over the sea?
Like Craig would delicately and aptly say, just fuck off.
The FRENCH are always guilty. What we sometimes find hard to figure out is what of.
