I had fairly well concluded that the most likely cause was a fire disrupting the electrical and control systems, when CNN now say the sharp left turn was pre-programmed 12 minutes before sign off from Malaysian Air Traffic control, which was followed fairly quickly by that left turn.
CNN claim to have this from an US official, from data sent back before the reporting systems went off. It is hard to know what to make of it: obviously there are large economic interests that much prefer blame to lie with the pilots rather than the aircraft. But if it is true then the move was not a response to an emergency. (CNN went on to say the pilot could have programmed in the course change as a contingency in case of an emergency. That made no sense to me at all – does it to anyone else?)
I still find it extremely unlikely that the plane landed or crashed on land I cannot believe it could evade military detection as it flew over a highly militarized region. Somewhere there is debris on the ocean. There have been previous pilot suicides that took the plane with them; but the long detour first seems very strange and I do not believe is precedented. However if the CNN information on pre-programming is correct, and given it was the co-pilot who signed off to air traffic control, it is hard to look beyond the pilots as those responsible for whatever did happen. In fact, on consideration, the most improbable thing is that information CNN are reporting from the US official.
Lawyers also realize the value in letting evidence guide investigations. Eyewitness reports are the only evidence to guide the search for MH370. The rest is speculation.
Just ask Bob from Reddit. Malaysia has failed to provide evidence of a lot of things, and perhaps an attempt to cover up its own ineptitude is why they’ve refused any other option than the SIO. Maybe Bob is right, and the plane was lost from the get-go.
Evidence has not guided the search for MH370. This is why it has not yet been found.
Eyewitness reports should not be dismissed without due consideration and investigation, when they are all the investigators have. Yes, eyewitness reports can be unreliable, but it is simply wrong to dismiss such information without investigation.
Here’s Simon Gunson’s location for MH370:
https://disqus.com/by/simongunson/
He wants to search at 45.30S, 45.30E, based on China’s calculations.
Over to you, Pink Take a look at the coordinates of the Fugro Supporter. They seem to be stopped at this location, maybe bobbing at anchor or circling something very slowly, as they are pointing in a different direction every time I check.

Some of the vessels in the Bay of Bengal near the Fugro Supporter are involved with the submarine cable.
This is a joint venture involving France, Malaysia, the UAE, India and others.
“The directors and staff of GeoResonance maintain their rage at the Malaysians and Australian authorities for not checking the exact coordinates in the Bay of Bengal. The black box battery was still working weeks after
GeoResonance notified the authorities. It would have been an inexpensive exercise to rule out the location. ATSB officials would not speak with or have a technical presentation by the GeoResonance directors and physicists.”
Strong words, and GeoResonance urges the world media and others to seek accountability from those responsible for the search.

Back to Port Blair. Whether or not military aircraft or drones were in the air on May 7/8, who can believe anything about the “facts” anymore?
Not seen updates on Supporter since Oct when it was W of Mekar according to Richard Cole, not sure its part of the search anymore it was withdrawn I think .
They are using Discovery and Harmony as far as I know perhaps its having a quiet look in BOB but more likely to do with the cable laying .

The Hi Lok ( manufactured by Voi Shan) fastener HL1013-6 shown in Blaine Gibson’s find is still labeled in the same manner today as it was when the part was first offered. I am told that the markings have been retained through all the ownership transitions (and there have been several).
The listed phone numbers for Voi Shan all get routed to sales (no surprise there), and I finally got passed off to a tech support engineer who provided the answer above. I have names, but was not asked to publish them without getting the same answer through Voi Shans legal department which is, of course, required for “official” release of information.
So the fastener cannot be used to rule out that the debris found by Blaine came from 9M-MRO. Nor can it be used to support that it did.
Finally, despite being exposed to professional sales people I did not buy any fasteners.

Pink, this group from your link reported the Fugro Supporter in Vietnam. By today it was in the BOB. Worth keeping an eye on.

Some say there’s oil some say not so much oil in that neck of the woods I suppose they will all be watching each other, not much hope of me knowing whats going on I see all sorts mentioned about shipping lanes and oil I wouldn’t have a clue how to work out who’s doing what where, would be handy if they found the plane while they were at it though and hope they are not hiding it too I suppose 🙂
Can you tweet if so ask Richard Cole if he knows what its doing he’s watching the ships?
Well, Pink, the folks at JW would be well-advised to look at the video of Ethiopian Flight 961 to explain how wing parts from one side of the plane come off in an attempted glide landing. Also, they can see the scoop effect. This may be what happened to Mh370, as it has happened before, with survivors.

All this technology goes into keeping mailboxes looking good. Who knows what kinds of proprietary coatings are used in Boeing 777s?

I liked this article I picked out the quote because of the mention of 4 aircraft in the vicinity of 370.

But the significance of the phone call he received at 2.30am on 8 March 2014 was unlike any other before. Even now, two years on, Sharuji describes those first few moments with disbelief, but also with clarity.
“Immediately I opened my laptop, accessed the flight systems, and saw there were four other aircraft that were in the vicinity of where MH370 was supposed to be, but 370 was not in the picture at all,” he says.
@Q Is there anyone who has shown up among the crew and passengers on MH370 of having a significant military background like our BM on the other thread for instance or someone who may have known how to be tactical, flown sorties in recent conflicts etc not sure quite what I am looking for.
I believe the passenger list was checked for likely flying experience I didn’t hear of anything much about what was found.
Also do you know how to locate some information I believe found by BB (could be someone else )about the shipping company and bleach possibly swimming pool supplies I remember seeing something when the cargo list was being looked at ?

Explosions have struck the departures area of Zaventem airport in Brussels
The BELGIAN government has confirmed there are casualties but has given no numbers yet.

It makes the disappearance of a mere 239 souls seem like a piece of cake. “Sanitization” or “crime against humanity” is all a matter of semantics, who is in power and who that power is being used against. I guess it’s “sanitization” for the poor and powerless.
JOHANNESBURG — A South African archaeologist has found a piece of debris with part of an aircraft engine manufacturer’s logo and Malaysia’s transport minister said Tuesday that authorities will examine it to see if it is from the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
