I had fairly well concluded that the most likely cause was a fire disrupting the electrical and control systems, when CNN now say the sharp left turn was pre-programmed 12 minutes before sign off from Malaysian Air Traffic control, which was followed fairly quickly by that left turn.
CNN claim to have this from an US official, from data sent back before the reporting systems went off. It is hard to know what to make of it: obviously there are large economic interests that much prefer blame to lie with the pilots rather than the aircraft. But if it is true then the move was not a response to an emergency. (CNN went on to say the pilot could have programmed in the course change as a contingency in case of an emergency. That made no sense to me at all – does it to anyone else?)
I still find it extremely unlikely that the plane landed or crashed on land I cannot believe it could evade military detection as it flew over a highly militarized region. Somewhere there is debris on the ocean. There have been previous pilot suicides that took the plane with them; but the long detour first seems very strange and I do not believe is precedented. However if the CNN information on pre-programming is correct, and given it was the co-pilot who signed off to air traffic control, it is hard to look beyond the pilots as those responsible for whatever did happen. In fact, on consideration, the most improbable thing is that information CNN are reporting from the US official.

For the Bangladesh navy to be searching, this must be within the range shown previously:

I do not know if this is the same Jalaludin Kassim.
This is certainly the same Ihor V. Humennyi:

Q; I sense that same letter went out to all parties who are behind NPT, and Malaysia is one of them. It was likely a follow up to the meeting in Mexico (Najirit?) and the Ukraine has memories of Chernobyl to give them momentum.

Golden mangosteens or nuclear mangosteens? Who knows?
It’s definitely easier for them locating nuclear mangosteens, isnt it?

A better map shows the anomaly at the location where the seabed drops off.
Maybe GeoResonance followed the green glow from the ever-ripe mangosteens, Bluebird. The golden ones don’t glow in the dark.
This plane spotter claims that 9M-MRO had been to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

So maybe GeoResonance followed the previous flight paths of 9M-MRO. Gosh, it’s brilliant, yet simple.

More photographic tributes to Mike Romeo Oscar. Sadness and affection from the plane spotter.

BB’s Ukrainian gold reserves theory worth re-visiting??
Georesonance press release

Drip, drip….
“The report says officials apparently didn’t notice for 17 minutes that the plane had gone off radar on March 8 — and didn’t activate an official rescue operation for four hours.”

@Mochyn69: Yes, worth revisiting. Nothing’s off the table yet. Not even a 210-foot (what is that in metres or nautical miles?) shark carcass.
@Pink: I wonder what kind of muzak was playing in the hotel lobby this time. Surely the theme from Titanic has worn a little thin by now.
@Ben: More holes in the (edited by ICAO?) official story than the Titanic itself?
It’s worth revisiting the comments section here:
http://www.airtrafficmanagement.net/2014/04/georesonance-press-release/
There’s even a theory involving Pakistan. Remembering that the PIA incident involved United Nations peacekeepers for East Timor, and one involving Russia.
Future Tom Clancys of the world will have no end of subject matter.
” More holes in the (edited by ICAO?) official story than the Titanic itself?”
Nary a lifeboat for any of the passengers on MH 370, Q BTW, I think it’s time for a nickname for the ill-fated flight.
“Flying Dutchman”? “Boeing Boing”? “Malaise Airlines”?

Still thinking that faint luminescence coming from the ocean is something that could be picked up by current technologies.
Not wishing to minimize the seriousness of this, but Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou?
It’s just gallows humor, Q. It’s a defense mechanism to counter grief.

“Fresh mangosteens”. With quotation marks.
Gotcha, Ben.
So we’re treated to the previously reported passenger manifest, clearly readable. Why was the complete cargo manifest not displayed?
Couldn’t CNN/Telegraph have transcribed and printed in legible form? I digress.
How very convenient that passenger airline cargo is not necessarily inspected. It’s a matter of containerized cargo, handled by logistics companies who take people’s word for it. New international rules will change that in a few months, but does anyone know if they are compulsory rules that will be overseen by aviation authorities, or managed by the same logistics companies that take people’s word for it? In countries known for graft and corruption, the new rules leave much to be desired.
Bluebird, mangosteen expert, please advise.
Georesonance technology seen as ‘pseudoscience’. If they are just seeking publicity, why would they expose themselves worldwide to their anticipated failure.
This talking point makes no sense.

2453 kg. of lithium ion batteries. 4566 kg. of impossible “fresh mangosteen” in quotation marks. The lithium ion batteries are not in quotation marks.
We still don’t know the rest of the cargo, as the Telegraph and others have not released it. We don’t know the maximum weight of cargo and passengers loads for the plane, and how that compares to what was laded. We know the name of the logistics company for the lithium ion batteries, NNR Global Logistics, aka JHJ International Transportation Co. Ltd. We do not know the mystery logistics company for the impossible “fresh mangosteen” shipment, although there is something about CNEE. What or who is that?
http://www.maskargo.com/help/ams-faq/shprcnee-data
Seems like “consignee” is all we have to go on. Why and who edited out this most critical information for a “quotation mark” shipment of mystery goods?
It would also be helpful to know the fuel weight for MH370. How much fuel, in weight, did MH370 have on its fatal flight, and how did that compare to the amount usually needed for the combined weight of fuel, passengers and cargo on the assigned route from Malaysia to China in the weather conditions at the time?
From MASkargo link above:
“Q: Is it possible to input Telephone Number and CPO Box?
A: Input of only telephone number or CPO Box is not allowed. Exact name of the SHPR/CNEE and address must be entered.
Q: Is it possible to enter the name of Forwarder in SHPR/CNEE of HAWB?
A: Input of mere Forwarder is not allowed. Exact name of the SHPR/CNEE must be entered.”
The instructions are very specific. They know.
