For those who came here thinking it was a place for the serious discussion of important political issues, there’s a remarkable report published by the think tank Policy Exchange on the replacement of the indigenous Brits by what are presently racial and ethnic minorities in Britain.
As stated by Robert Henderson summarizes:
“The headline grabbing statistic in the report is the claim that the five largest distinct Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities could potentially double from 8 million people or 14% of the population [now] to between 20-30% by the middle of the century. Over the past decade, the UK’s White population has remained roughly the same while the minority population has almost doubled. Black Africans and Bangladeshis are the fastest growing minority communities with ethnic minorities representing 25% of people aged under the age of five.”

JG: I don’t remember a satchel of apples in the Go-Between; the boy, Leo, nicknamed Mercury – the Messenger, carried love letters between the girl from the house and the tenant farmer. She was due to marry to the aristo but loved the farmer. The messenger boy loved the girl, was torn between all three and dabbled in magic. Gt cinematography by Joseph Losey and theme tune by Michael Le Grand, who was unhappy about how the tune was adapted for the film.
O/T I missed Aaronovitch and Amanpour reviewing the papers on Marr. Amanpour recently interviewed BLiar allowing him to spout more of his anti-Islam spite.

If you search for the first over-complimentary, fawning (sycophantic?) remark on this thread you might be able to work out to whom the message referred. If not that person certainly recognised himself because of a subsequent comment.

The photographs from the Odessa tragedy does not back the regimes story, and points to the occupants being murdered and then set on fire by unkonown assailants.

It is disturbing to see Academi mercenaries being paid, by whom? to comne to the Ukraine and snipe at seperatists. If the eastern Ukraine wants out and enough people say so, then what is the big deal in splitting up?
