Have been rather unwell the last couple of days, so please forgive lack of regular posts. BBC Hardtalk interview with Anders Fogh Rasmussen of NATO made me feel much worse. His comments are crafted by those around him and he would have felt considerable pressure to speak out against Independence at this point in time. The BBC will amplify comments from anyone against Independence, make it vox pop if they have to, just to fill more minuites with their tirade against an idea who’s time has come.
This flurry of BBC induced activities speaks of a sense of forboding desperation by one side, they do not like the positive support that lies behind it. What will happen to those in the BBC who have contributed to this campaign? will they get a gong?
What rattles my cage is the aftermath, what will the fuming No campaign do when its all over? will they put their hands up and except the innevitable, tell their Rangers and Orange supporters to accept the change, or will they procrastinate and play dirty as they have done sofar? Will flags be banned in football grounds? What weill the BBC’s role be in this besmirching of a new dawn? will they desist? do bears shit in woods?
What would the yes side do if they loose by a smidgeon? try again in ten years time?
My point is that once this idea is in the public mind churning hopes and desires, it will never die but morph into a differtent form of campaigning and eventually, when the establishemnt has pulled all their potatoes out of the fire and made them safe, it will happen.

If Salmond met Murdoch on official government business on a trip financed by the tax payer then yes, the tax payer does have a right to know what was said and there should be minutes of the meeting.
