    No. I don’t know which stage of devolution Craig was referring to but the intention of Westminster was clearly to sneak the new boundaries through before a devolved Scottish government could do anything about it. You can quibble about the dates if you want to.

    The boundaries are nothing to do with fishing protection, are dubious in international law, and were deviously implemented by Westminster to the detriment of Scotland.

    Whatever the extent of mankind’s contribution to global warming, there is an agenda to accentuate it at the expense of all other possible causes. The BBC, for example, will not give fair coverage to opponents of AGW as a matter of policy.     Re: MH17 High energy objects… Now what are the warhead components of the missiles apparently shot by rebells? If they are of random size then the theory false apart, because the holes clearly visible on the wreckage clearly point to a uniform shape, roughly the equivalent of a 30mm air to air canon.
    The transcripts should also show the command by air traffic control to change the route.

    It is to be seen what questions are posed by the relatives to this open scenario. I say open because the high energy objects have not been found yet, maybe there will be some amongst the wreckage, but it is not necessarily a given.

    Since there is a cease fire, the search should continue to find clues as to the shrapnel/munition used.
    The BUK system has a 70kilo HE fragmentation warhead which would ripp apart into many fragments, but they would not be of uniform size or ripp uniform holes into the Fusilage.
    Not a word about a second plane, nothing, not a peeps about checking Kievs military and civilian flight records for deletions, yet.

    Yes Craig this really was blatant theft of Scottish waters, whats is even more mind boggling is the theft was openly debated in Westminster, and that Old Queen Lizzie would have had to agreed to said proposal.

    This unjust act secretly passed, without the consent of the Scottish People took approximately 15% of oil and gas revenues out of the Scottish sector of the North Sea taking £2.2 Billion out of the Scottish economy. This lost revenue is more than the proposed £35 Billion Scottish budget cuts for the next 15 years (£2.16 Billion per year).

    Westminster doesn’t give a monkeys for Scots and we’ve finally woken up to the fact.

    Brown, who’s reputation in Scotland is as good as former Rangers owner Craig Whyte, robbed the UK pension pot of billions whilst in power he gave pensioners a measly 10p rise in their pensions, and sold the UK’s gold bullion when the price couldn’t have gone any lower, and this is the man Westminster hopes will change Scots minds into voting no.

    As per principles of Schumpeter’s theories the best event that can happen is for Scotland to become and independent entity, and the subsequent shake up of the English political structures could save whatever is left of UK. On the hand the political classes carry on the same path as before and lose Wales which shall follow pretty quickly thereafter.

    It has been for many years that the plutocrats, and their political appointees have been granting themselves the eternal and absolute rule over the beleaguered, oppressed, discounted plebeians trapped in UK. The result of such a misrule have been the overt corruption and rampant crime, leaving the population in a poverty trap, with little or no hope of changing their lot for the better.

    Good luck Scotland and I am certain that I will make the preparation so that I can make the move to Scotland for a better future, and a better standard of life.

    Another lie is being pumped out today by the London media, that of panic in the financial markets following the YouGov poll.

    Here is the truth: yesterday the FTSE 100 barely twitched, and today it continues to sit 300 points higher than it did one month ago; as for Sterling, today it sits at a healthy 1.61 against the dollar, and as for the Euro, this morning it has bounced back above 1.25.

    When Douglas Alexander, the Shadow Foreign Secretary, speaks of imaginary economic problems, he shows why his colleagues are said to have christened him ‘Rain Man’; he has difficulty connecting with reality. The truth, Douglas, is that if Scotland says ‘Yes’ next week, one of the first things that will happen thereafter will be a commitment by Westminster to currency union. That is what today’s reaction indicates, and it is what would be the case, for sure. As for the Footsie, it will be business as usual.

    Most bizarre of all, though is Gordon Brown, old Captain Barbossa, stepping forward as the saviour of the Union. That the man who did more that any other to demonstrate the case for Independence by his lamentable performance as Prime Minister, should expect any electorate now to believe a single bloody word he says, well, for me that redefines irony.

    A Scottish MP has reacted with fury after the Scottish Parliament was stripped of a key energy power after a House of Lords amendment was backed by Unionist MPs.

    SNP Energy spokesman Mike Weir MP slammed the vote, which saw powers over renewable obligation brought back under the control of Westminster.

    Commenting on the debate in the House of Commons on the Lords amendment to the Energy bill – and in particular Amendment 54 which removed the Scottish parliament’s powers in respect of renewables obligation in Scotland – Mr Weir said:

    “This is an outrageous example of the unionist parties ganging up to remove powers from the Scottish parliament. Worse still they did so by introducing last-minute amendments in the unelected House of Lords, rather than having the courage to debate it on the floor of the House of Commons.”

    They were debated and accepted by the Scottish Parliament on the 3 June 1999.

    A motion to amend the order to make the boundary run due east was defeated by the Scottish Parliament.

    They were not deviously implemented at all. The matter was debated and voted on by Scottish MSPs. Once they got assurances that the line was purely for administration purposes and nobody was going to stop them fishing south of it the Scottish fishermen were happy with it as well.

    I understand the redrawn line was purely for matters of law enforcement, or were spun as so. Say a punch-up on board ship after too much rum and biscuit, which jurisdiction, Sheriffdom, assault charges might be brought in, depending on the location. Nothing to do with ownership.

    Hardly surprising, since the unionist parties outnumbered the SNP 91-35 seats. If Scotlend were an independent entity, it would be a treacherous MSP (of whatever tartan) who would vote for the motion again.
