    “Since our satellites could in 1984 film a postage stamp lying on the ground, it is almost impossible to imagine how all-encompassing the system must be today.” Margaret Newsham, former Menwith Hill employee.

    A lecturer of mine, now a professor, told me something similar in 1982. You all think these grainy images are the best they can get of the combine harvesters in 2014. Do me a favour.

    Don’t worry, everything is normal and under control, although I’m still waiting for someone called ‘Dave’ to tell me about nuclear fusion…

  • Clark

    YouKnowMyName. 4:35 pm

    now now Clark, that’s slightly disingenuous of you. You’re fully aware than any activists setting up a TOR exit Server in the UK will get visited by Special Branch.

    No I didn’t know that, so thanks. Do you have any links please?

    “Is the UK hence authoritarian? GCHQ will also do its damnedest to unscramble the comms of any TOR user in the UK, Is the UK hence authoritarian?”

    Well it’s certainly becoming more authoritarian. What do Special Branch do when they visit? Can you still run an exit node?

  • RobG

    Come on ‘Dave’, or else I will go into one about it.

    Neutron bombardment is the key issue.

    The Stepford Wives will watch and smile.

    Nothing I say is particularly important, if you live in a brain dead universe.

    What is interesting is the way they (the authorities) react to me.

    Cue the usual bullshit from the usual suspects.

    Time is running short. Sane humans need to take back control.

    We really are in Last Hope Saloon.

    I enjoyed the Helen Caldicott Nuclear Symposium Rob thank-you for the link. Certainly our friends across the pond have been hi-jacked by their government and clearly the subliminal psychological impact of their media has increased in influence since I worked in New England during the 80’s.

    Importantly Americans are spiritually solid; and this I think is key to their liberation against a powerful hook by the state that kettles most folk into acquiescence.

    Without sounding supercilious and patronizing I myself have gained another important insight into grass-roots America, galvanized by the enlightenment from my own culture and refinement, that taught affinity, communion, wavelength and being there.

  • RobG

    Mark, despite the fact that their media has been completely taken over, Americans are much more on the ball with this stuff than Brits.

    I’d like to think that the Brits were much more aware, but alas.

  • mike

    There are thousands of T64 and T72 tanks that have not been decommissioned, but have been kept in storage instead. I wonder if any of these tanks are stored in Ukraine?

    It’s not a leading question.

  • Clark

    John Goss, you don’t need any higher resolution; those images clearly don’t show combine harvesters. Like I said, don’t merely argue; use Google Maps or whatever and find some actual combine harvesters and compare.

    You’re going about this all wrong. There’s no proof of where the images show and when they were taken; “they” control the time stamps and longitude / latitude stamps and could change them to whatever they want. If you want to discredit the images, use this. But arguing that they show combine harvesters when they clearly do not just makes you look, well, either easily duped by RT or a daft propagandist.

    And it’s daft to argue that the images should be higher resolution. It all depends upon the atmospheric conditions, but in perfect conditions seeing a postage stamp is over-optimistic; there are theoretical limits that don’t improve with technology and Margaret Newsham was probably just using a figure of speech.

    A low orbit satellite orbits about once every 92 minutes, but it won’t be over the same place next pass as the world will have turned beneath it. It can probably see that particular strip only about once a day. As it passes it has only seconds to capture what’s on the ground (six minutes from rising to setting, about 1700 miles, going at about 5 miles per second). OK, NATO has quite a lot of satellites, but the world is big and they can’t just put more satellites over Ukraine; each satellite has to cover the whole world because of the way orbits work. If the images are genuine I’d say they were pretty lucky to see that moving convoy. Seeing stationary objects is a whole lot more likely because they’re still there when the next satellite goes over.

    They can only use optical if the atmosphere is clear. Sats can see through cloud by using lower frequencies (ie. longer wavelength), but this reduces the resolution. Those images are monochrome, so they’re probably microwave rather than optical.

    Say the labels are false and stop trusting RT and its derivatives. Those articles are just for the gullible.

    The number of people on this blog calling for war on Russia is quite frightening.

    You all live in a total lunatic asylum, and you are not even aware of it.

  • RobG

    Clark, I love the science, RE: satellites, but you’ve got to do better than that to con the public.

  • RobG

    This is so mad it’s beyond belief.

    Three reactors in total meltdown and none of you tossers have a word to say about it.

    You are all completely, totally and utterly fecking mad.

  • John Goss

    Yes thanks Mark. I can remember when Adge Cutler was with them. A good act.

    I have to leave the blog again because the same person, so sure he’s right, but unable to prove it, wants to send me on a wild goose trail trying to find satellite images of combine harvesters to prove his point when I’ve shown him images like that in my last. At least he does not seem to be claiming any more that satellite photographic technology cannot zoom in on houses and cars. He’s getting there. Slowly.

    Even if the combine harvesters were tanks with turrets on the Ukrainian and Eastern Ukrainian armies both have tanks with turrets on. But he is so dug in with his theory about them being Russian and because of US propaganda which has brainwashed him he won’t give it up. I’m out of here.

    John Goss,

    I saw what you wrote on another website..You are a good guy.

    What is wrong with Americans?

    Us British are not like that..

    We Travel All Over The World..in some incredibly remote places..and meet people who don’t speak a word of English..and My Wife and I are Welcomed with Open Arms…

    We don’t take any guns..we don’t need any protection…

    We just come as we are.

    Well of course it is scary..cos there are so few of us..I am talking about an extremely small number of people across the World..But We Do Not Attack THEM with tanks and guns…

    What we do is to try and get under their skins..

    By being Ourselves and writing what we think is The Truth…

    Of course we get some things wrong…

    We are just trying to change their minds with our emotions and analysis of what is going on.

    THEY are in Control..but they are in some kind of fantasy land…

    We do our Best To Challenge Them with The Facts..as best as we can find

    Well of Course It is a Battle For The Future of The Human Race…

    But what is more important than that.

    RobG says: “You are all completely, totally and utterly fecking mad.”

    Well what the feck do you expect me, personally, to bloody well do about it? And why do you keep blaming me – personally, together with all the other posters – for it?

    A Palestinian fishermen died Saturday of wounds sustained after Israeli naval forces fired shots off the coast of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Health Ministry has said.

    “Tawfiq Abu Reyala, 34, succumbed to his injures on Saturday,” ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qodra told the Anadolu Agency.

    Abu Reyala was injured early on Saturday when Israeli naval forces opened fire on fishing boats off the coast of the Gaza Strip.

    Two other fishermen were detained by Israeli forces, according to Nizar Ayyash, the head of the Gaza fishermen’s union.

    More on the witch. What a sham she was.

    ‘And I would just like to remember some words of St. Francis of Assisi which I think are really just particularly apt at the moment. ‘Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith. And where there is despair, may we bring hope’ …’

    Cabinet Office Denies Cyril Smith Cover-Up
    Letters about the late MP’s knighthood reveal Margaret Thatcher was made aware of the sex abuse allegations surrounding him.

    04:19, UK,
    Sunday 08 March 2015

    The Cabinet Office has denied trying to cover up information about Downing Street’s knowledge of Sir Cyril Smith’s abuse of young boys before he was knighted.

    Documents show Margaret Thatcher was made aware of the claims about the Liberal MP before he was handed the honour in 1988.

    The 19-page dossier of information on the decision to give Smith the knighthood contains several letters, including an undated one from a Political Honours Scrutiny Committee member to the then prime minister.

    In the letter, marked secret, Lord Shackleton said police investigated Smith in 1970 for “indecent assault against teenage boys” between 1961 and 1966.

    But, the letter noted, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) decided “there was no reasonable prospect of conviction”.

    Michael Sheen, the actor, is coming up on Marr. 9am BBC 1
    Will he be allowed to say anything about the destruction of the NHS?

    “By God, believe in something”: watch actor Michael Sheen slam NHS cuts and “bland” politicians
    “Burning hatred for the Tory party”.

    “@Phil

    The boys in blue recently saw off Russian jets from the Cornish coast!”
    ________________

    Alternative suggestions, please. Don’t just bitch – be positive. Would you, for instance, prefer that Russian military jets should be able to overfly the UK unhindered? Tell us where you stand on the issue of overflying by military planes of a foreign power. Thanks.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    “It’s such clumsy/primitive propaganda that it makes me embarrassed to be a British passport holder.”
    ________________
    Are you claiming that the overfly attempt was propaganda and never happened ? Were the Russian jets and/or the UK jets mere holohgrammes? Do you have a direct line to the Russian military in Moscow (or to the UK Defence Ministry)? No? Thought not.
    You are not obliged to hold a UK passport, you know. You can hand it in, “lose it”, destroy it or simply not renew it.
    As for your nationality, well, I suppose you could go and live elsewhere for a few years and then apply for baturalisation in that countey. How about Venezuela – that might suit you and Mary could knit you some socks before you leave!
    BBC shaping up to offer Cameron v Marr as alternative to empty chairing. Humph.. that sounds fair.
