Clark; “You can start by reading the document he found – which he posted DESPITE its accusation that UK and Polish secret services had significant influence upon Euromaiden – look, he gave you some of the evidence YOU’VE been looking for; he gave you a gem. Value it, and thank him for it:”

LOL !! He posted it in all eagerness, obviously without reading it, only because it was published on the anti-Russian “The Interpreter” Site, with all its added spin on what really appears to be a contingency war plan, that proves that not only is Russia is bent on world domination, but somehow also proves that the Maidan protests, the Coup, and annexation of the Crimea, etc, were all planned in advance by Russia !!  The crowning glory of his rushing to post this, as you have noticed, is that it actually contains Russian intelligence that they believe that the UK & Poland are organizing the Maidan protests ! 😀

  • Macky

@Clark, so nothing to say about the expert George Friedman, (the founder of the global intelligence firm Stratfor), calling the overthrow of Yanukovych ‘the most blatant coup in history’” ?

  • Macky

    Clark, as you seem to place such value on personal testimony, as per your constant reference to Phil’s friends in Kiev, etc, here’s a personal testimony from somebody that I actually know well enough to know that he is not given to lying or even exaggerating;

“I live in Cyprus and for 2 years I worked in the Ukrainian offshore company that belong to Kolomoisky here in Cyprus. My ex boss, a very good lady is now back in Dnepropetrovsk but we keep in touch. Last month we spoke on Skype and she said the following: the news keep on saying about Russian troops, Chechen mercenaries in Ukraine and so on, but in reality there is no such thing. The real situation is that Ukrainians are slaughtering Ukrainians.

Because I live in Cyprus i do meet a lot of Ukrainians (and Russians). Yesterday my wife’s good friend came to our house with her sister, who came to Cyprus to ask for a refugee status. She is from Odessa. She said, that there are no Russian troops to be seen anywhere, however half of the military outposts’ personnel in the city of Odessa speak English or other foreign languages.

This is very frightening, especially because of the continuous denials or just total silence on this issue from the West or the government of Ukraine. This confirms my fears that there are no peace plans planned for Ukraine, just escalation, escalation and more escalation”

Extract from Bill Blum’s Anti Empire Report

The Twilight Zone of the US State Department

‘You are traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Your next stop … the Twilight Zone. (American Television series, 1959-1965.)’

State Department Daily Press Briefing, February 13, 2015. Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki, questioned by Matthew Lee of The Associated Press. 3

Matthew Lee: President Maduro [of Venezuela] last night went on the air and said that they had arrested multiple people who were allegedly behind a coup that was backed by the United States. What is your response?

Jen Psaki: These latest accusations, like all previous such accusations, are ludicrous. As a matter of longstanding policy, the United States does not support political transitions by non-constitutional means. Political transitions must be democratic, constitutional, peaceful, and legal. We have seen many times that the Venezuelan Government tries to distract from its own actions by blaming the United States or other members of the international community for events inside Venezuela. These efforts reflect a lack of seriousness on the part of the Venezuelan Government to deal with the grave situation it faces.

ML: Sorry. The US has – whoa, whoa, whoa – the US has a longstanding practice of not promoting – What did you say? How longstanding is that? I would – in particular in South and Latin America, that is not a longstanding practice.

JP: Well, my point here, Matt, without getting into history –

    ML: Not in this case.

JP: – is that we do not support, we have no involvement with, and these are ludicrous accusations.

    ML: In this specific case.

    JP: Correct.

ML: But if you go back not that long ago, during your lifetime, even – (laughter)

JP: The last 21 years. (Laughter.)

ML: Well done. Touché. But I mean, does “longstanding” mean 10 years in this case? I mean, what is –

JP: Matt, my intention was to speak to the specific reports.

ML: I understand, but you said it’s a longstanding US practice, and I’m not so sure – it depends on what your definition of “longstanding” is.

    JP: We will – okay.

ML: Recently in Kyiv, whatever we say about Ukraine, whatever, the change of government at the beginning of last year was unconstitutional, and you supported it. The constitution was –

JP: That is also ludicrous, I would say.

    ML: – not observed.

JP: That is not accurate, nor is it with the history of the facts that happened at the time.

ML: The history of the facts. How was it constitutional?

JP: Well, I don’t think I need to go through the history here, but since you gave me the opportunity –- as you know, the former leader of Ukraine left of his own accord ….

Leaving the Twilight Zone … The former Ukrainian leader ran for his life from those who had staged the coup, including a mob of vicious US-supported neo-Nazis.

If you know how to contact Ms. Psaki, tell her to have a look at my list of more than 50 governments the United States has attempted to overthrow since the end of the Second World War. None of the attempts were democratic, constitutional, peaceful, or legal; well, a few were non-violent. 4

    Plus this at the conclusion

‘The Ministry of Propaganda has a new Commissar

Last month Andrew Lack became chief executive of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, which oversees US government-supported international news media such as Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks and Radio Free Asia. In a New York Times interview, Mr. Lack was moved to allow the following to escape his mouth: “We are facing a number of challenges from entities like Russia Today which is out there pushing a point of view, the Islamic State in the Middle East and groups like Boko Haram.” 13

So … this former president of NBC News conflates Russia Today (RT) with the two most despicable groups of “human beings” on the planet. Do mainstream media executives sometimes wonder why so many of their audience has drifted to alternative media, like, for example, RT?

Those of you who have not yet discovered RT, I suggest you go to RT.com to see whether it’s available in your city. And there are no commercials.

It should be noted that the Times interviewer, Ron Nixon, expressed no surprise at Lack’s remark.’

“Ta. Got any links that elaborate?”

If you google “super moon” or “super tides” you should find plenty of information.

Macky, you may be some kind of computer, unaffected by any emotional matters, but I am not. I need my emotions to be balanced before my logical mind can be bothered to properly engage. My impression of you is that you thrive on argument, competition and conflict – just an impression, a subjective, emotional opinion. Maybe humanity would be better purged of all emotion – from what you write you seem to believe so – but then what would be the point in living?

But anyway, when I get up and find myself, my former colleague Jon, and my sometime colleague and friend Craig insulted thus:

Terrible sweary language Clark. Call the boron moderators.

Para-suicidal nuclear shill ex-mod Clark surveys dying destroyed planet, feels pride, laughs.

‘Dissident’ asset Murray’s little pot of honey turns sour: “I didn’t get where I am today by not knowing which side my bread’s buttered on.”

And not forgetting mod-Jon who modified his own comment, after the fact, changing the meaning entirely, hoping no-one would notice, in order to score a cheap point.

    Hypocrites and fucking parasites.

…it’s really not conducive to logical thought. I get a little sick feeling in my stomach, yes? I feel tired and heavy; certainly in no mood to write to my MP.

John Goss calls this “humour”. You regard Tony M’s contributions as more worthwhile than my own.

It was a lot of work developing, maintaining and moderating this site, and all for no monetary reward – certainly, you’ve never done a single thing for me or for any of the site team who supply you with this playground, completely gratis. Working as a moderator was extremely stressful, and I still put a lot of effort in, trying to calm arguments down from insult-wars back to discussions of fact and policy.

But it seems that the only contribution you will accept as worthwhile is to gang up on Resident Dissident, drown his argument under a deluge of smears and thereby leave the road open for John Goss to recycle Russian propaganda.

Sorry, I’m utterly pissed off today. Nothing to do with you, John Goss or Tony M, I’m sure. All just my own personal weakness, I’m sure you’ll agree. If only I could be strong, like you and (not a nuclear shill at all) Putin.

  • Clark

I’m going off-line for the day – wood to cut, letters to write, but I suppose someone will accuse me of “running away” from the arguments. I’m starting to hate it here, and it’s mostly Macky’s favourites who are ruining it for me.

Ba’al, thanks for your support earlier. Phil, good to see you. Mary, respect and Best wishes.

Supporting the Left and supporting Putin are diametrically opposed. Rejecting “Western” corporate propaganda does not require one to embrace Russian propaganda.

“The high (and low) tides we are experiencing right now are down to astrological factors.”

Read that in your horoscope, Fred?

  • Tony M

Clark sorry part of my comment to you was uncalled for, cruel, but not so far off the mark, but it isn’t just out of the blue. You don’t know the background to this, something that happened involving the ‘moderation’, when a seriously intentioned considered post made in earnest was deleted on the absurd grounds that it was an ‘attack on Resident Dissident’ who has posted literally hundreds of times on this thread, and then some other posts being deleted and finding myself on permanent pre-mod with posts appearing hours, even days later, or not at all, for one pointed but not wholly meritless, possibly even constructive retort back at RD. It was back on page six of this thread, and was something I feel rightly angry about but won’t be going into further details. I won’t be making any attempt at serious or considered posts on this site and if I’ve ruffled your feathers then good. Stuff such as the above post you refer to are being let through, when other more detailed posts patiently explaining my position are not. While you and others have been oblivious I’ve been having exchanges sometimes two-way with the moderator(s) since 3/4 of the way down page 6.

  • Macky

@Clark, every line of your post at 12.32 is either plain wrong, or can easily be refuted, but you are clearly not only not capable of handling this, but this regular “poor, victim me” tactic repels me enough not to even bother, apart from saying that the only good thing to emerge over this issue is that others have now also realized what a partisan reactionary irrational & fraudulent debater you really are.

@All others, who like to sit on the sidelines and refuse to participate on either side on this Ukraine issue, simply because they are afraid of offending Craig & other Posters, ask yourselves exactly why you bother coming to a political blog if it is not to express your opinions, especially on something as important as this, because given the current pro-war & anti-Russian hysteria, if we are not all doing our best to stop it, we will end-up sleep walking into WW3.

  • Clark

I’ll tell you heartless bastards something. I’m so sick of my own life that I’d volunteer to shovel out the melted Fukushima cores by hand, if I thought I could survive the neutron flux long enough to make a worthwhile difference. Doing that, I’d actually feel that I’d made a worthwhile contribution to this world. I have actually considered going to Fukushima, but I probably couldn’t get close enough to any of the cores to fill the first shovel.

Here’s to the heroic “Liquidators”, many of them Ukrainian, who did all they could to contain the Chernobyl disaster. Some Ukrainian resentment of Russia may be understandable:

Macky, stick your insults where the Sun doesn’t shine.

  • Phil

    Macky/Tony M

What a belligerent cock sucker you are. Still whining about moderation decisions from how many years back?

Do you actually do anything, except crap on relentlessly, to oppose the ‘fascists’ running your own country? Or are you simply too busy judging the imperfections of other? Good work comrade!

  • glenn_uk

What happened to my reply to Clark about his figures last night? If posts are going to be removed, it might be nice to at least give some indication that they’ve gone, and maybe an indication of why, instead of them just being “disappeared”.

The criteria on which posts are disappeared seems rather arbitrary too, if I might say so.

    @John Goss

“Yesterday, without going to parliament, Cameron announced that UK troops were to be sent to Ukraine to train Ukrainian troops on how to do a better job killing one another.”

Yes and they will be using British weapons and need to be shown how to use them having bought them from UAE. How to sell lethal weapons. Just use a proxy.

US and UK Arming Ukraine via a proxy. Stage 2 of towards WW3.

Macky at 5.28 pm. I could not find the document either and looked at the link in Resident Dissident’s and Clark’s victorious posting of this article, together with Ba’al’s praise for it. Admittedly it was in Russian (and quite long) and I did not have time to do the exposition myself.

I wonder how many glorious repostings of the Medialens thread will hit the blog. One thing I’m sure of, despite it being shown to be wrong, Resident Dissident will be backing his feeble arguments up with it for the next 12 months.
